I want to see hundreds of giveaways for Talos Principle II

for a jrpg with early 1990's graphics it seems better at delivering the berserk atmosphere than the actual berserk hack and slash game publish by koei tecmo. Should've grabbed it when the franchise went on sale last haloween, now they skipped holiday sales lol! better luck next time I guess :)

You've got great taste! That shit is wild. Fear & Hunger is one of two games I know of, which can end you on the first screen you start out on. Funger does not fuck around.

Fantasy mostly. D&D style I guess, trolls, ogres, magic etc. I haven't done much in a while. I used to pump out fanfic to keep myself sharp between some very short stories. I did one Unreal but mostly DBZ and Godzilla.

Thanks! Well, you probably haven't heard of it because Visual Novels aren't really a genre that gets promoted often. In fact, I only got.into them recently after snubbing them for years since the ones that were usually promoted were often predominantly romance ones, which I really disliked as an idea. But there are a ton of VNs of other subgenres with a strong emphasis on emotionally gripping, out of the box narrative amd freedom of choices. Fata Morgana is one of them, and one of the most highly regarded VNs in general

its always been one of my favorite genres but i dont check for them frequently so im not surprised i missed this and others, the horror/mystery ones are my favorites! im thrilled you been getting into the genre as it seems many here have a thing or two for them as well. romance ones are a big hit or miss but they get shown the most as with any media (im looking at you, WEBTOON!) which can get a bit irritating though it has an appeal for a reason. only problem is that it overshadows the less mundane ones that could use a little sunlight!
my apologies on the late reply to you, wasnt intentional. if you have any other VN recommendations you find and might wanna share be sure to let me know!

The Expanse: A Telltale Series. It just came out in November so there won't be giveaways for it for a long while, but since it's a Telltale game, I'm hoping it'll be bundled eventually :) Telltale used to be my favorite game company & I'd literally obsess over every new game of theirs that came out when I was younger (even when some of them weren't all that great).
With them having new leadership now and a new title out, I've really been wanting to give it a try.

could you tell me more about why telltale was your favorite game company? i dont know much about them and itd be cool to understand further why they mean so much to you, its cute! the expanse: a telltale series does seem like quite the catch :D

Definitely! :D Sorry if this ends up a bit long; I can get a lil too chatty sometimes when explaining things, haha
The first Telltale game I ever experienced was The Walking Dead back in 2012, and it's the first game I remember character deaths leaving me in full-blown tears. I remember the ending so vividly even now because it was so heart-wrenching having to say goodbye to these characters I had grown so attached to (little did I know at the time, the series would continue for five more games 😆).
Since it was one of those 'your choices matter', heavily story-based games, I watched a million different people play through the game after that. I watched it so many times that at some point, I could quote certain chapters line-for-line.
Can't do that anymore, haha, but it also had a really long-lasting impact on the kinds of games I played.
Besides keeping up with every new Telltale title, I proceeded to play The Last of Us, Undertale, Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human - all of which have a pretty heavy focus on story elements. I even have a Last of Us tattoo :)
tl;dr I had never experienced that kind of emotional impact from a game before The Walking Dead and as a result, Telltale really transformed my gaming experience and how I look at games. Even though the company has changed a lot since then, I think they'll always hold a special place in my heart 💜💜

oh shoot i didnt even know they made the walking dead! i can imagine just how impactful going through that game was and experiencing the deaths as it progressed. its sweet how the ending stuck with you in a bittersweet and meaningful way.
i LOVE that you're able to quote a bunch of lines from it, thats how you know it truly meant something and left a mark! i havent watched much on the game but you inspired me to pick it up for myself at some point in my life.
its wonderful to me that it influenced your choice in future games. im happy you got to experience the rest of the games you listed! undertale is integrated in all of us in some shape or form lol. heavy rain im not too familiar with but comprehend the adoration it had, likewise detroit: become human.
the tattoo just tops all of it off, thats so sick. :D
thank you for taking the time to answer, i enjoyed reading every second of those touching words.

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!. This one was in a bundle ages ago for $0.01, that I sadly missed. And in recent years since then, the giveaways for it have gotten quite rare. Which is a shame as I really wanted to try this game. I still keep an eye out for when GA for it appear.
In terms of major games besides the obvious BG3 which probably everyone wants right now, I'd say Persona 5 Royal. It is the game I currently want the most. I loved Persona 3 and Persona 4 on PS2, and so will definitely want to play 5 one day. But I am a patient gamer, and have no problem waiting a few years until the game is affordable. Still, would be great to have more chances at winning it here.

i was expecting this to be a visual novel by the title but its something even greater. i cant believe there was a bundle for that amount let alone including a game as special as this. thank you for the new recommendation! really hope you get a chance to play it too.
is persona 3 or 4 better in your opinion? been trying to win that series myself and have only seen gameplay of persona 3 fez, not reload. each of them seem stunningly executed! ive seen the fifth given away about twice so im praying others show up, good luck when they do. 🤜🤛

It sure is an odd title for a game. But it also looks like an odd, unique and experiemental game. And I tend to like such games.
It also reminds me of another game I enjoyed, Black Closet. There you have your "minions" you send on missions as the student council president, to prevent scandals in a prestigious boarding school. The gameplay is assigning who will take what missions, then stat checks and dice rolls, and some randomness to it, but there is also an overarching narrative.
As for Persona 3 or 4, I loved both, so it's hard to pick a favorite. 3 is much darker in tone, and maybe a better overall narrative, while 4 is more "fun", upbeat, and has the better cast of characters. Gameplay has gotten better in each entry though, and the original persona 3 by now is probably a bit outdated in terms of gameplay, so I'd probably wait for the reload. And you can play them out of order, so can easily start with 5 or 4.

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble! and Black Closet automatically became some of my favorite listed games here for both the absurdity yet prestigious allure to them. never wouldve heard about these games otherwise i feel like so im honored to know about each now! the concepts are so original.
i also have more persona knowledge in my arsenal >:)
huge win that you can play them out of order, i was wondering about that.
i approve these choices, UnknownEAK! 😝

Key for any game that is impossible to purchase in steam anymore is ALWAYS a dream giveaway.
Cryostasis, Ninja Blade, Max Payne 1, Lost Planet 2, Fable 3 just to name a few. Or some really impossible stuff like Blur or GTA 2, that would really be the dream huh.
Comment has been collapsed.
damn, i have a copy of blur on cd, but they didn't add steam then so i can't redeem the cdkey on steam
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah I think steam would give a similar key as your cd as well after buying the game, then you had to create an account in-game and enter this key to play online. So that's not a key for steam, unfortunately. I don't think steam keys for Blur existed, there are only some very rare gifts left.
