The Royal Tenenbaums - Good movie, but it wasn't all that emotional or funny.
John Wick - Damn...its filled with all the tropes we are used to see in revenge movies, except this is way more over the top. I dont even know if it's intentionaly funny or if they thought it looked badass, either way, i love it. The Body count in this movie is 84, seriously, some dudes kill Keanu´s dog and he murders 84 people.
Also this movie has the best directed and choreographed action scenes ive seen.

Blackfish (actually, its a documentary)
Its the usual standard documentary, on how evil corporations are, creating lies for profit and thats the problem i had. It chooses the easier route, and adds nothing that a moderatly educated person doesnt already know.
The weird thing, is that for some reason, its commented by the trainers, and while it would make sense to have the people who actually worked there, to speak about the matter, the problem is that this people are the ones, who became aware of the ugly truth of having such a big animal closed in a small space. They knew a whale received beatings from other whales, they saw the accidents, and performed tasks that even by then they knew were inumane, one of them even talks about how awfull one of the whales situation was, and how demanding it was for one of the whales they had to collect sperm on regular basis, but they kept working there.
it sure would be interesting to know how did this trainers got themselves in this situation, why did they staied, and theyr actual opinion on the matter, but ofcourse not, because the movie is much more interested in telling how evil corporations are.
I dont think this trainers are bad people, but they choose to work on a place, were they had to do said awfull tasks, lie about accidents, and even trivial things like how long the animals live in a wild and why they have collapsed dorsal finns, its weird that they are commenting on it now, putting all blame on seaworld, without adressing that first.

The X-Files (1998) : I love the series and I am currently watching it entirely, so I watched the movie a few days ago as it takes place between season 5 and season 6.

Don't forget to watch the movie between seasons 5 and 6 :-D

The other one isn't really "canon", it appears to take place long after the series... Some fans will even prefer to consider it a different diegetic universe.
Whereas the first one is directly referenced to in the 6th season (and, as you will see, its plot is directly tied to the X-Files "mythology" while the other movie, "Regeneration", can be considered a "loner" episode.)
tl;dr : watch it after the series.

Amer (2009) - A surreal movie showing a woman in three periods of her life (as a child, as a teenager and as a mature woman) and her issues. Tons of close-ups, almost no dialogues, panting heard throughout almost the whole movie - it's weird, if you're not into such cinema you probably won't like it. Also plot is shown in a rather difficult way. But I liked it. 6/10
Maleficent (2014) - Very good Disney movie starring Angelina Jolie. At first I was skeptical but I came around pretty fast. Good watch. 8/10
Fear Is The Key (1972) - Amazing old-school thriller/crime movie. If you're into such stuff make sure to check this gem out. Very underrated. 9/10
Space Station 76 (2014) - To be honest I didn't know what to expect and after the show I wouldn't even know what to say if you asked me "what to expect from this movie". It's a movie about nothing really. Of course it's a pastiche about some issues we face as humans but it was made in a way that was boring and uninteresting. It wasn't a tragedy but it's a rather weak movie. 4/10
About Last Night (2014) - Regina Hall and Kevin Hart, they're amazing. Watching them always makes me smile. It's pretty similar (even cast is almost the same) to Think Like A Man and it's as good. If you're into light and funny romantic comedies then watch it cause it's definitely worth it. 8/10
Black Sunday (1977) - Thriller about terrorists who want to attack US citizens during some big game. The other side has to stop them in time. Pretty gripping and interesting movie, I really enjoyed it. During the last 30 minutes though there were some stupid things present in the script which didn't make any sense at all. Still, worth a watch. 8/10
Kids Return (1996) - Japanese movie directed by Kitano. It's good but nothing really special. Atmosphere is great and music is also very good. 7/10
The Butler (2013) - Very good movie about a black butler who serves in the White House during presidency of a few presidents. You basically watch his story from youth to the oldest years and during that his family issues and so on. Great acting. Good watch. 8/10

This Is the End - well, it's a so-so with Emma Watson appearances and a lot of references.

The Theory of Everything (2014)
It's the story of Stephen Hawking's life. I've liked the acting and music. The story by itself is also interesting. I didn't know Hawking's biography so detailed before the movie. Despite the fact that it's definitely a good movie I don't understand why it is nominated for 5 Oscars. My rating: 8/10.

Gone Girl. Overall, it's a good movie, but I'm a bit disappointed with the ending, or something...

Just re-watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Blu-Ray for the first time since the theater. That's a badass movie. Even more so on Blu-Ray at home, where the action scenes aren't a blurry mess like in the theater.
As far as movies I've just watched for the first time, if we're being honest as men (and women (and everything in between)), I watched Last Holiday starring Queen Latifah on Friday. More proof that I'll eventually watch any movie, regardless of quality, if it comes on at the right moment. Predictable, but not as awful as I would've expected. Ms Latifah is a lot more subdued than some of her roles, but playing a character who's dying so she's trying to squeeze a lot of life out of her last few weeks. Plus, there's a hot redhead in it (which is what drew my attention while channel surfing) and I'm a sucker for redheads.

Killers Stylish and ultraviolent movie that tries to accomplish a little too much for its own good, the ending is just a complete mess - (4/10)
Christine - It was ok, better than Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive. He sure loves killer vehicles (6/10)
All Is Lost A true Survival movie, there's no dialogue or plot, its a very natural movie, and it holds up against other survival movies because of that (7/10)
The Guest An homage to the 80s Exploitation movies, but with a bigger budget, could have been awesome but gets gradually worse, and for some reason it looks like a Refn movie, even the main actor looks and acts like is Ryan Gosling (6/10)

THERMÆ ROMÆ - a live action adaptation of the manga of the same name.

History of the World: Part I - Apart from one or two sketches that were really funny, everything else is terrible, sometimes i dont even know what the joke´s supposed to be, like "In the year 1 million BC it's thought that first homosexual marriage occurred." ok...what? (3/10)
Redline - its like someone mixed F-zero with Wacky Races, had i seen something like this has a kid it would have be my favorite movie of all time (8/10)
Justice League: The New Frontier - I like the simplistic art style, very reminiscent of the golden age of comic books, the story on the other hand, is nothing special. At Least in this one Green lantern saves the world, instead of being the comic relief of the group - (5/10)

The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014: I did enjoy the movie but I can't tell if it was good or not, Had good comedy bits but other parts where not as great.
Birdman 2014: Misleading trailer made me think it was about some superhero, most boring film I watched in a long time about boring broadway actors struggling because broadway is not popular.

Here we go, I'll start.
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10
