Movie: Kingsman: The Golden Circle
TL; DR: 3.5 / 10. (Visit the dentist, instead.)
Just watched this movie last night. It cost me only my time, but I wish I could have my two hours back. The acting was good, but the writing was absolutely dreadful. (The writing in the first Kingsman was weak. This movie is five times worse.) Also, the directing was poor. I checked the IMDB to see just how low this movie scored, and...WTH? It got better reviews than Prince Caspian??? Caspian was a better movie in every respect. Yet another reason why you can't trust the ratings on IMDB. Give this one a miss.
If you do choose to watch this movie, I recommend skipping everything except for the fight scenes. You will miss out on the plot and the dialogue, but that is a very good thing.

The Last Sharknado: It's About Time. Actually, it was pretty good. A perfect way to end the franchise. I know,a LOT of BAD joked, but that's what made it good. And SOOOOOOO many references. But that's to be expected.
Honestly, I am going to miss the franchise, but all good things must come to an end.
Farewell, Sharknado. I shall miss you.

I thought I'd check out Burt Reynolds' highest rated movie, wasn't impressed.
Maybe it was a pioneer which didn't age well, but Deliverance has nothing that wasn't too familiar from dozens and dozens of other movies. 6/10

I don't even like that kind of movie and I still found it epic. I would recommend everyone see it at least once. Quite long, but there is so much Americana in that movie.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Turned it on about 10 minutes in while making dinner tonight, ended up getting sucked in and watched the whole film. Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, and Sam Rockwell set the screen ablaze with some of the best performances I've ever seen. One of the best films I've seen in a long time.

I saw Dancer in the Dark (2000), fucking loved it. Probably a 9/10 at least.

"La Curée" aka "The Game Is Over" (1966) by Roger Vadim.
You know what to expect from his films. 😉

Haven't seen all of his work mainly due to non-availability even during the heydays of torrenting. I won't bother to search for his films in the torrent sites now as most of them have become infected with adware/malware after the heavy lockdown on them starting with KAT's demise in 2016.
I'd like to get my hands on a copy of "Et Dieu… créa la femme" aka "And God Created Woman" (1956), the one featuring the infamous Brigitte Bardot.
As of now my favorite among his works (that I've seen), would be "Barbarella" (1968) & "Pretty Maids All In A Row" (1971).

Next Gen (2018) animated movie by Netflix, nothing too special but fun nonetheless :)

The first half was really nice, I loved especially the visual style and the music. But after the escape the story is just meh at best. Still a 7/10 for the complete package, but I expected a lot more.

The Predator
I laughed quite a bit, and I really enjoyed the characters, but overall I didn't like the drastic tonal shift from the original movies. Also, it has one of the biggest plot holes I've ever seen: so the predator-human hybrid supposedly came to Earth to help humans and deliver the "predator killer", but throughout the movie, he slaughters countless people all on his own.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Wasn't that bad. The first Jurassic World was better and more fun. but I still liked it.
Kind of feels like it was a rehash of the second one at times, though. Hopefully JW 3 will be good.

Watched "OKJA" last night, and it left enough of an impression that it spurred me to write a full review...
My word, what a car crash. Terrible, terrible film, on every level. A confused, directionless mess which wildly flails in tone as it stumbles along.
EVERY performance is awful and most are also deeply inconsistent, every character is two-dimensional and/or profoundly stupid, the story is bare bones and yet largely incomprehensible, the dialogue is rambling to the point of mostly being redundant, the effects are massively shonky half the time, and (even if most viewers probably won't consciously recognise it) the sound design and mixing is some of the worst I've ever heard, constantly undermining the reality of the film...
But for all the technical faults, more frustrating for me was spending most of the film just desperately trying to comprehend who it could possibly be aimed at. It's such a mish-mash of disjointed styles.
A sweet-natured, family-friendly film scattered with unexpected swearing and graphic slaughterhouse imagery? A satire based on such absurd, childish caricatures that the writers couldn't manage to give it any bite, no matter how heavy-handedly they tried to stick the knife in? A screwball heist comedy tacked on to a clumsy message-movie, such that neither of them can get off the grand? Long-winded vegan propaganda that paints animal rights activists as self-righteous morons?
After 2 interminable hours, I have NO idea.
I'm sure I've said this before, but I can't remember it ever being so true - it literally pained me to endure this drivel.

And I find all his movies to be the same, with different titles.
But I don't blame him solely for that horrendous pile of steaming crap that was the Dark Knight trilogy. Christian Bale, who was possibly the single WORST choice imaginable, made the worst Batman yet. The only saving grace was Heath Ledger as the Joker. Heath was an amazing actor.
I will give him that he's not the worst director. Uwe Boll has the distinct dishonor of being FAR worse than him.
But everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes.

Sure, I just wanted to know more about your opinion, since I'm not expert about movie making, any new input could be useful to gain a well-rounded point of view. ;) In many of his movies I find interesting explorations of the concept of time, this is what I like.

Yeah, it was too much of an happy ending... But it is awesome that they succeeded to have it, without any non-scientific happening. Everything that happens in the movie is coherent with Einstein's General Relativity (1915), or at least plausible / not in contrast with the theory. :D

Genesis. Saw it on a cable channel a few weeks ago but missed 90% of it. Finally got to DVR it and it was actually not half bad. Wish it game a little explanation to the environmental mist that eats almost everything, but I guess that's what the writers wanted us to hypothesize on.
7/10.

Here we go, I'll start.
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (2010) - This movie is a joke. At first it's interesting, then it's boring and then it's just funny/pathetic. And they put it in a "horror" genre. Words are not sufficient. Nosferatu is turning in his grave. 3/10
