It doesn't show you as having any games that are not activated. It only shows 3 items that it is unable to track correctly but presumes have been activated.

"...so the following [DLC's] are probably activated."
Yep, they're activated. I don't see the problem, here.

Hmm, at this rate its going to take a long time to fill out all of these reports: Error. You reached the daily ticket limit (20).
Guess I can't do my duty anymore today. Finding so many of them due to the several large giveaways of the same game. My friends been trying to win it for a while and its saddening to see people win 3 copies of it. Was really sad to find someone win 3 copies of it and 5 copies of another game with most being regifted.

you do user reports?

It seems support are busy at the moment not had a reports answered for a couple of weeks. Free games are on here for days sometimes and the those 100 or bit blaster xl regifts are all still up, one guy has 4 up still Am guessing once summer has finished and all admin are back from their hols everything will get back to normal .

" not had a reports answered for a couple of weeks."
Yeah, the line is over a year atm. So you'll have to wait a bit...
Comment has been collapsed.
two issues with that statement
1) reporting a rule breaker by breaking the rules of the report system is not all that wise -Tzaar clarified what u meant so this is invalid
2) most that read that will just simply re-roll their ~6-8month old giveaway that they thought the user did not activate, only to have it turned into a "not received" because the person it re-rolled too got a already used key.
that will cause even more headache to the support staff then just reporting the user with a user report like the system was designed for.
if you are doing a re-roll from an inactive person not activating a gift, then there is no reporting needing to be done as i see no rules being broken to be reported. i cannot think of a valid re-roll request that would both cause the actual re-roll and additionally warrant a user to be reported on at the same time, but i suppose if that situation were to arise then yes, kill two birds with one stone sure =)
Comment has been collapsed.
so you actually re-roll in those situations? even knowing full well that most likely the winner did something with it already? either already regifted it, or applied to side account, or gave to a friend.
Slightly Clearer Meaning>
if the user did not activate it in the 7day time frame they are allowed, and still were and active user on steamgifts, chances are extremely high the steamkey you sent them is already used. so you are effectively asking for a "not received" mark when it gets re-rolled to the next person.
Comment has been collapsed.
Always check your winners for unactivated/multiple wins and ask for a re-roll if they've broken a rule. If it's a recent rule break (and they haven't already served a suspension for it), they'll be suspended and you're granted a re-roll. If they've already served a suspension for it, you'll still have to send them the game or take a "not received" on your profile.
Re-roills are the fastest way to get users suspended, as re-roll tickets are typically handled very quickly.

thank you for clearing that up for me. i do understand now.
i was looking at it backwards, the gifter goes to check their past GA's to find some of their winners did not activate their own giveaways, then requests a reroll to get it to backfire on them..
yes yes, then in those situations it is "report with a re-roll". i read that initially as basically a "bypass user reports by just reporting thru a re-roll" which is not how the ticket system was designed, but like i said before, certainly kill two birds with one stone in that situation.

1) reporting a rule breaker by breaking the rules of the report system is not all that wise
I'm not breaking any rules, a reroll ticket is perfect to report people with unactivated or multi wins. it's the best and fastest way to catch rule breakers.

While it does take a while I have had success in the past with User Reports, either that or Reroll Requests were made and mine got closed at the same time. Shame that many don't check their winners, but I do understand the featured giveaways its hard to check each person, especially with a few hundred everyday.

I have days where I have over 100, but usually around 30. I check mine every day. It takes time, but I am always surprised when something 6+ months old gets them suspended.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, but its strange to report those sometimes though. You never know if they've served their time or not for a particular case, and the only way is to bog down support with the request. With more recent issues its not really a problem, but 6 months is getting up there and I'd have hoped the community has already brought the issue to light, unless they haven't won in that long.

Last time I experienced one from the long ago it was multiple non-activated. They had not served their time, only way to know is to bother support. And yes, I feel bad for bothering them.

You know you can easily fix non-activated wins right? You can just buy those games yourself and activate them on your account.
Also, not to be a dick, but it's your own fault for not following the rules. Now you either have to face these consequences or fix the problem.

technically you can try and get that one resolved too by getting a copy of the game (if both keys were used) and sending a replacment key to the gifter and request a re-roll.. its a major pain in the ass, but technically can get it resolved as well.
as for second chances.. some people do, some don't.. im in your group, thats how little i care about older infractions. but others still have the right to judge based off old infractions if they so choose too.. sorry =(

Most people are willing to forgive past mistakes if they see an effort to redress those mistakes. Specifically, there should be:
All three of those are within the capability of the person making the mistake. As for words without action, they don't mean much.

I assume you meant adding a link on the Winners page which the giveaway creator may press to check his or her winner's account? The investigation of individual accounts is generally left to the members of the community. Support Staff will investigate individual accounts when we have reason to do so.

I just found a user script that does just that and remember this post, so thought I'd share :)

Yirg. I'm really sorry and I took the link without realising I had it already. I haven't opened the link so I haven't seen the key. What would you like me to do?

can I add you on steam and i'll tell you my opinion about the game once i've finished it? xD since my acc doesn't own it and i cannot write anything based on my brother acc?

I don't know why people are so rude to the SG support sometimes, I needed help twice so far, and both was solved within hours.
I work in customer support myself, so I know how fast that is, considering the customer base.
Also Khalaq, you're being especially active about this issue still these days, if people still didn't get the memo they can probably not read.

Quick question, is there any way to report a GA as a regift? It's not from one of my GAs, but I'm as certain as I can be that it's a regift considering they had just won the game in a GA here and they claimed regifting isn't against site rules
Comment has been collapsed.
If the game is activated on their steam account all is fine, if not you can make a user report for "not activating won gift". Unfortunatelly due to the amount of such tickets it can take very long before a support member has time to have a look into it.

TL; DR: Please check the winners of your giveaways before gifting, and we highly recommend you make sure they activate your gift.
ADDED: A couple of people have offered scripts for checking winners: the SGTools Activation Checker; and SilentGuy's Sidebar Script.
Yes, this is yet another topic about re-gifting. I am creating it because we just discussed this topic thoroughly a couple of days ago, and it seems a lot of people "didn't get the memo." It is somewhat frustrating when the same explanations have to be repeated over and over, again, but not everyone reads the forum, and even those that do cannot be expected to read every posting. I dearly hope that you guys all read this one.
Your Support staff tries their best to deal with infractions as quickly and efficiently as possible. Despite common opinion, we are neither "asleep," nor are we "idiots," nor "power-tripping," "lazy," and long list of other unfavorable adjectives. We knew that signing up for this position meant we would suffer unwarranted abuse, but we did it, anyway, because we wanted to help make SG a better place. We cannot, however, do it all on our own.
The "weakness" with the way this site is currently run is that it relies upon the users of SteamGifts to do their due diligence. Unfortunately, people give away their gifts and keys without first checking the winners of their giveaways for failed activations, and then also fail to ensure those gift are activated. Later, they complain that their gift has been misused, absolving themselves of all responsibility and dumping it on Support. Everyone has the power to make things better, but nobody wants to take action themselves. It is like a roomful of people sitting in the dark, every one of them saying, "Somebody really should turn on that light," but none of them are making any move to do so. And everything wrong is the fault of Support.
That is oppression.
This site is mostly run by its users, and that is a good thing. It gives SG flexibility and allows for the pursuit of both generosity and fairness However, if we as individuals do not take it upon ourselves to keep things in order and point out abuse when it arises, then it is unfair for us to complain about "how bad it is." We are the ones who choose to either let the mess pile up or clean it.
Speaking for myself, I thank God that I have never had too much trouble with my gift giving. I'm fairly certain that the fact I check each winner before handing over my gift, and demand that the gift be redeemed directly after it is received, has something to do with that track record. I am neither omniscient nor omnipotent, but I can tell you that if you win one of my giveaways, you'd better have your ducks all in a row because you're going to be checked thoroughly.
SteamGifts has thus far been successful because you, the users, have made it that way. More rules and restrictions will not solve our problems, individual responsibility will. Goodness is stronger than evil, but evil will spread and take hold if goodness does nothing but stand by and watch. If we want this to continue being a great community, then I suggest we stop waiting for other people to do the work for us. If we all choose to be active agents for the good of the site, then we need never fear that the challenges will be greater than our combined might. If everyone is reaching for the light switch, then that light will definitely go on.
I hope that what I have written here makes sense to you all. Thank you for your patience.
