Alot of these are Welsh Interactive games. I think they are to FMV what Artifex Mundi is to Hidden Object. The writing is decent, the acting is decent, and they made quite a few games. Not all are my cup of tea, but the ones I did play were decent. So if the premise interests you, I think at this price you are getting a good deal, especially if you can get it in USD. A little lazy by Fanatical that Euros and Pounds are more expensve since they kept the same amounts of 4.99/7.99 in those currencies when it should be lower.

Nice bundle. D'Avekki definitely revived the genre, I can only recommend their games - The Shapeshifting Detective, Dark Nights with Poe and Munro and The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker. Especially the latter is something worth experiencing. But all of these games have fantastic actors. So does Late Shift, which is less artistic and more mainstream movie. The Complex is also saved by good actors, not much more to it.

Because the Shapeshifting Detective was not my favourite FMV (just not my kind) i lost interest in the other two games from them.
However with this bundle i give Dark Nights with Poe and Munro a chance.
Maybe the craftmanship of it will chamge my opinion about The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker but I doubt it, because it seems to be to similiar to the Shapeshifting Detective.

Doctor Dekker is very different from a typical FMV like Shapeshifting Detective. Dark Nights with Poe and Munro is very similiar to it, but they have small episodes and I think each is pretty entertaining because it focuses on one idea and doesn't drag on. It's a bit more absurd but doesn't take itself as serious as Shapeshifting Detective.
The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker is different because you basically talk to the characters yourself, like that Facade game if you ever heard of that. If not, you basically type your question and they will react/respond to certain key phrases. I think the killer is also randomized in this one like in Shapeshifting Detective. It's only set in his office though, you don't really have to explore and might miss something because you went to the wrong person first.

Murderous Muses is also from D'Avekki Studios, has ties with previous 3 titles and the gameplay is quite distinct. I feel they have an innovative approach to each title compared to Wales Interactive who focus on perfecting the interactive movie formula (with mixed results).

Nice one! I bought last time there was a FMV bundle. This is expanded so I found something here too.

All of these are great deals... except for Not For Broadcast. That one has three pieces of DLC in the store, and there's no complete the set / upgrade option for it. It's also published by TinyBuild, so it'll get bundled again and again and again and again and again...

Can you recommend me which one of these are NOT just talking heads?
I have played Shapeshifting Detective, Five Dates and Who pressed mute on Uncle Marcus, and all of these are just talking heads footage and I don't want any more of that.
I also played Late Shift and it is more like regular film.
So which of the remaining games are similar to Late Shift? Thank you:)

I only played Who pressed mute on Uncle Marcus, but I've seen that Bloodshore, The Bunker and the Complex are movie like and I play to get them.
Not sure about She sees Red, I have yet to play it.

I thought it's obvious. In many games all the footage is just static camera pointing at somebody who sits, looks into the camera and talks about something. Because it is easy and cheap to shoot.
Late Shift is like a regular movie - more people in the frame interacting with each other, there is action (camera is moving), the plot takes place in many locations including exteriors

I like FMV games, but I've only played a couple of them on Steam (e.g., The Bunker, which I really enjoyed). I probably have about a dozen FMV games in my backlog. Maybe I should get more...in particular Dark Nights with Poe and Munro.

I was waiting for winter sale to get at least three of these games, but well, managed to grab five here :D
Bloodshore,Dark Nights with Poe and Munro,Late Shift,The Bunker and The Complex.

To be honest that's not a bad price for these games.
I don't think they will get much cheaper than that anytime soon.
However I have a very big suspicion that there will be a Humble MEGA FMV Bundle soon.

Today I got a couple Fanatical bundles for myself and I found that NAG5 doesn't work as a 5% off anymore. I searched around ("fanatical coupons" Super Google-fu Zero EX) and I found RS5 works at least for the remainder of October. I hope this info is useful to someone.

I used to have The Complex on my wishlist, not sure why I took it off... anyway, grabbed that one plus Night Book despite the mixed ratings because of the horror tag I'm surprised (and disappointed) that neither HB nor Fanatical has released a horror-themed bundle so far this month aaand The Bunker for a friend.
And that reminds me I still haven't played Dark Nights with Poe and Munro. :o/
