Might be some breakups on the line, you should probably report that to your ISP, I had those about a year ago (VDSL), technician measured it was further down the line, causing the same thing for multiple people also. Unless it's router problem (restarting can sometimes help & reconnecting all cables on router)

I tried... they said it's our problem not theirs, they're sending the right amount and anything after that is not their problem xD
We already made sure the problem is definitely starting at the modem or before (in the line towards the house).

It's been a problem for months but they offer zero assistance and made it clear we'll have to solve it ourselves.
There's no other provider in my area so they don't have to offer any customer service to keep the people I guess v.v

Aah :(, so it's more of the waiting game. Hopefully, new ISP will be available soon to snatch some customers so you can have some leverage.

Some 15 years ago or so I had internet connection problems and it turned out that the reason for the interference was a hornet nest in a switch box.

While it surely isn't the case here, it reminds me of the one time my laptop overheated to the point where the monitor started melting.
Why? A fly somehow got stuck in the cooler and died there.

I thought all internet speed was measured in Mbps though I see some saying MB, do they really mean Mbps?

Anyhow I'm supposed to get 130Mbps but usually, I get around 100 and once in awhile I get better than I paid for around 150mbps

Lets clear things a bit, cause this poll is pretty useless like this.

MB - Megabyte
Mb - Megabit

1 Megabyte = 8 Megabits
1 MBps = 8Mbps

And to answer the question - 120Mbps down 6Mbps up whisch is roughly 15MB down/750KB up. And for that crap i pay $60 in the US. Compared to my home country(Bulgaria) where i have more than 1Gb down and 200Mb up for around $5....

I've always wondered why I was paying apprx £30 a month for 8Mbps down and something like 1Mbps up in the UK and pay closer to £5 for 100Mbps both up and down here.

Internet speed is pretty good where I'm from, and it's cheap. :)
I could theoretically get to 125MB/s, but my router and hard drive limit my download speed. 😅
I usually get a maximum of 30-40 MB/s, but that's more than enough anyway.

Scored about 500/300 on the test last time, not sure why it's not working right now.

50/5. Good in general but shit for a lot of things. Symmetry is the best, imho.

40-50 MB
50-100 MB

I'm at 50/50 ... which do I choose? When we first switched to this provided they kept trying to up-sell higher speeds and a symmetric connection. We didn't bite and a year or 2 later we were upgraded automatically for no additional cost
