There's this game called "To the Moon". It's an indie game, of course, but it's got an incredibly good narrative and a really amazing story. I don't want to spoil much about it, but if you're interested in a really good, touching plot that you'll remember long after the game's through, give it a shot.

...Aaaand that recommendation sounded extremely generic. Best way I can put it, though! The developer's got a knack for storytelling.

You can't find it on Steam, but if you can find Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, I recommend that. Or if you enjoy games like Sim City and like sci-fi, I recommend another game that you can't find on steam, Startopia.

They're on GOG, I think. I know Arcanum is.

If you like Evil Genis you may enjoy the Overlord games or the King's Bounty series.

King's Bounty is basically the Heroes of Might and Magic series. In fact, the original King's Bounty was made by the makers of HoMM.

Overlord you've probably heard of though, god knows it goes on sale constantly.

Overlord = PC version of Pikmin

I'd actually say get Dungeon Keeper or Dungeon Keeper 2 if you liked Evil Genius since the latter is heavily influenced by the former. DK is only available on GOG though.

On Steam, I'd recommend Kohan Warchest ($5) for RTS, Broken Sword Trilogy ($2.5) for Adventure, or Eschalon Books 1 & 2 ($3.74 + $2.49) for RPG.

Was gonna say DK and DK2, but he did say Steam, heh.

Mostly thinking Overlord cause it was pretty heavily comedic which Evil Genius had a lot of slapstick animations.

Let me copy my spacechem recommendation.
"Look at your chemistry, now back at me, now look at your chemistry, now back at me. Does it have robots that connect atoms into particles? What about robots that connect atoms into particles into bigger particles in SPACE?!" -- Spacechem about itself.

Recently has become popular just through sales. But Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are truly fantastic. Probably my favorite RPGs.

Random thing, this game called Fieldrunners, is a very nice and simple Tower Defense. Fieldrunners 2 just came out on mobile devices, I would check that out.

Edit: Beyond Good and Evil as well. Also became popular just because it went on sale, but this was really a top hit, especially for the gamecube at the time.

I have all of those, but you should definitely take a look at Solar 2. It's under 2 euros here and it's amazing. Quite hard too!
