Do you pirate games?
I can't remember.
I did. But then I Dark Souls, XCOM and Don't Starve brought me back on the path of the righteous.

I pirate old games that are no longer available in the market like NFS Underground; Underground 2; Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon.
I also pirate games to see if they're worth my time, if not then I don't buy it.
Also, back in the day I remember that I pirated the original Half-Life years ago and the multiplayer was working fine as well. Also, it's one of the safest, because there are mods that can override .dll files. Say mods like PARANOIA which uses a modified graphics .dll file and if you try to play the game online, you could get VAC-banned for it if you've played it on Steam which is both scary and risky.
Nowadays I just stick to these 2 options above.

Wolfenstein (2009), last week! Since I'm playing all Wolfenstein games these days, and there's no way for me to get that game. If it ever returns to Steam, I'll buy it in a flash!

Hmmm, aside from old emulator games, i think it was deadpool around the time it was launched. I had my steam account by then, but i had 2 games only, i was not aware it was sold there. Around the same time i downloaded castlevania 2, but i didnt even installed it.

I have a lot in my past, now almost never, because every time I have downloaded my computer starts dying and my accounts get hacked. I guess it is the pirated things since they always start after I download them. And yes I download from the supposed trusted uploaders.
Now I only buy the games, music from spotify, films and series from the internet though I have no idea if it is safe. Phone apps from amazon underground mostly.
Last game I pirated is FIFA 15.

I've stopped pirating games years ago because it just wasn't worth it. Cracking DRM's, getting new patches (along with new cracks)... Meh. I can't even remember which one it was... I think Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. I just wanted to test if my PC was able to run it, which it was. So I ordered it online like 5 minutes after installing it.
Steam was a game changer (ha!) for me. Especially because of the sales.

I guess the last game I pirated was The Walking Dead by TT couple of years ago, really liked the theme but was not sure whether I could deal with the gameplay... Well, I bought it after playing first episode. That might be the only one since 2009 when I have started buying games and believe me, there are plenty of games I would like to just download because I just cannot afford them but I have made my peace with waiting for a decent sale.

Most recently was Need for Speed: Most Wanted. In my defense, Ive bought that game three times for myself (cds kept getting scratched), and twice for my parents. At this point, Id rather not rebuy it on PC after spending that much on it for consoles.

Dark Souls II.
Bought it a week after I got addicted to it. But that's almost a year ago.

Fran Bow back in September. Sometimes some game catches my attention and I start wanting to play it badly. If it's too expensive for me at the moment, I don't resist and pirate it. Buy it later when it's on sale.

Before Steam, i pirated almost every single game i played, because 1) i was a kid and didn't have money on them 2) there was no real point in getting official versions because in 00s in my country it was jewels with annoying DRM like StarForce. You know, pirate culture in my country is strong even now, mostly because low incomes. But few years ago i found a job, started to buy things that i wanted (at first mostly music CDs and books). Then i bought several physical collectors editions for games such as Deus Ex:HR, Alan Wake and others, and they was mostly with Steam keys. Few month later my first Steam winter sale happened, then i found this site, and look at me now - from full pirate i moved to full license. My last pirated game was Dying Light, and i regret that i didn't got it in Steam. And even now, when i currently jobless, i definitely wouldn't go back to pirating, because i have huge backlog that i still need to finish.

I've pirated several abandonware games over the years. No regrets there.
As for a title when it was still out for sale.. Oblivion would probably be the last one, Homeworld before that. Never was big on pirating games, but I'm also not a "huge" gamer. I played 3 games for all of the 90's.. (Scorched Earth, MechWarrior II, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, if you'r wondering..)
Now the reason to not pirate games is the same reason I don't pirate music anymore. It's just so convent. I mean sure, MAYBE if Tomb Raider never comes down in price I'd consider it, but in general, why bother. There will be a sale every 6mo for sure, and it'll be delivered to me, forever.

Doubt they'll bring it back though. It's been long since they removed it. Why not just get the gog version?
EDIT: damn, now I feel a sudden urge to replay it ><

Last game i pirated was NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst but it was after i purchased it on steam and had some serious lag/slow motion issues so pretty much wanted to test out if pirate version works better and believe it or not it actualy worked better -.- After that i just refunded game...

So what was the name of the last game you ever pirated and Why?
I ressntly had to pirate a copy for Mass Effect 3. I bought a key, activated it in Origin, next day the game was gone! Origin support was just painful. They kept me bouncing back and forth from EA help to Accounts Help! After a month I just gave up!
