Since Scaloni took them as a coach its best Argentina i've seen, just in time for Messi to win titles with ARG, congratulations, ARG deserved victory.

The match should have been over a lot sooner if Argentina didnt drop the ball so many times after their first 2 gols. Im glad they have won, it's about time.

Seriously! They totally slacked toward the end and had to sweat a little longer for it.

It's not that they slacked, but, they legit were tired, on the first half, if France had the ball, Argentina was able to recover it before the midfield, but in the last 15+ minutes France was able to take the ball and race to the Argentina's goal, they couldn't recover it anymore.

I wasn't really taking a shot at them. They'd had the whole tournament behind them and the whole game in the legs so yeah it makes sense that they got slow. Mbappé ate some wheaties or something or he was keeping it all for the end, I don't know.

I agree, Mbappé was a monster in the last minutes of the game and despite all of their advantage, Argentina made mistakes at the end, which almost cost them the cup.

I have to say this was one of the best finals ever, first, Argentina dominated the match by leaving Mbappé without a mark, but playing to the other side, so, the best player in France didn't even touch the ball at all until the last 10 minutes. It seems the departure of Di María really hurt Argentina's offense, Acuña played really passive and the rest of the team was starting to show fatigue. They made a fault and Mbappé capitalized and with their confidence gone, he managed to score a second goal in under a minute, this man is going to be huge, so long as he doesn't follow Ronaldinho's footsteps.

Messi scored a desperate goal on the first extra time, I don't know how, but Mbappé scored a third goal in the last minutes as well, love it or hate it, he literally carried France in the entire match. Emiliano Martínez miraculously was able to save what was a goal for France, and we got to penalties. where he once again made the difference, I swear this guy deserves a statue, he saved Argentina vs Netherlands, and definitely did it again vs France.

Messi won't be leaving without his cup, Argentina finally wins a world cup, after so many finals and for France, with Ronaldo, Messi, Modric, etc. Retiring, they seem to be in a great position to dominate the future.

I am more happy that france lost. The word Schadenfreude describes it perfectly. The french team is so full of themselves. Their ego is bigger than their already good talent. Hope they get humbled but i doubt it. Congrats to Argentinia.
