Super news!
Any plans on fixing the point cost for games that are on sale in a bundle?
For example, game usually costs 20P, but when the bundle goes on sale in steam, this game costs 100P.
This really is a point coster

Yeah, I worry about that too ... while some triple A $60+ giveaway by a lvl 0 user may be predictable that's it likely a fake/mistake. However, take a situation when there's a massive bundle giveaways incoming for something you have wishlisted and you're the unlucky person to win a fake ... now having to pass on all the other opportunities to win. A fake, while is rather rare (thankfully) now causes much more damage.

We discussed it on Patreon so I will just copy-paste my reply here ;p
I am for it, while it may suck for winners of fake GAs (getting 1week lock basically until they can mark Not Received), fake GAs are already minority in the community - stats state +/- 1% of GAs end up as being fake, chance of someone winning another copy of the same game in said week if he won fake GA 1st is even smaller, we're talking about less than 0.1% here tops (more likely 0.001%, cause lvl0 GAs easilly get 1000 entries). So for the cost of screwing less than 0.1% winners we can reduce over 1/3rd of support load - I say it's no-brainer.

I'll just add that same principle can and is used for bundle games on much bigger scale. If you buy game which was previously bundled you get screwed on CV, yet still it's more beneficial to the community because majority of ppl will be giving copies bought from bundles/sales. And it's much more common thing for someone to buy bundle game full price (or simply no-bundle price) than it is for you to win fake GA and then win another copy of said GA in the following week.

it would make the whole change pretty useless. Remember the fact - that we, people who frequent discussions, who read the rules etc are a very small minority of the website. Heck there are probably few times more autojoin bot users alone that all forum-goers combined ;p Fact of the matter is - the most of the community don't read forums, never read FAQ, are here only for GAs, in some cases don't even understand english - just someone explained them how SG works or they've seen some article or YT video or something. Additional warning instead of system change would only work on people who are reading it, people who understand what they read, people who understand how SG works, people who are aware of the rules, and people who are actually people and not bots. Thus while helping to reduce number of reroll tickets caused by multiwins it would not completely remove them - there would still be lots of tickets resulting from winners I mentioned above. System change almost fully remove all these tickets (only exception - when reroll happens because of other reasons, like winner asked for it, then rerolled winner already won the game in the meantime) on the cost of extremelly small fraction of cases that would be potentially affected by it.

+1
Yeah, it'll be alright. So, users wouldn't be able to enter some giveaways for a week in this situation. This update literally will save countless tickets in the future. Believe me, it's needed. Just staying on top of the reroll category of tickets seems like a full time job.

Hi SG,
The site has just been updated with a couple of changes for entering giveaways.
You can no longer enter to win games you have previously won. You'll see a "Previously Won" error. This occurs when you have won the game in the past, and your win is marked either "Received" or "Awaiting Feedback". If you do not receive your gift after one week, and mark the giveaway as "Not Received", then you will once again be able to enter giveaways for the game.
When your account is synced, the site will remove open giveaway entries for games which have been detected on your account. Points will be restored if any giveaway entries are removed. This way, if you buy new games or redeem bundles, you don't have to worry about searching for and manually removing your giveaway entries after syncing. As well, automatic syncing now occurs more frequently, and your account will be synced every 48 hours when you visit the site. This might be further shortened to 24 hours in the coming days.
I think the pros far outweigh the cons with the above changes. I believe this will greatly reduce the number of support tickets. Issues with users winning a game more than once, or winning a game they already purchased, is by far the most active support category. This should not only benefit support, but reduce the number of tickets giveaway creators need to create, and cut down on delays for winners receiving their gifts.
