Simple as that

What keeps you coming to this website is it free games, or something else?

I still check this daily hoping for a page where we can actually hit each one up and maybe try playing something together ._.

Honesty forthcoming:

What keeps me coming back?

Gifts won that I probably would never have paid for for myself like Stellaris, Yesterday Origins, Observer, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Galactic Civiliations III, Homefront, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, INSIDE, The Flame in the Flood, a ton of HOGs which I love (!), a bunch of great games I never would have tried like Injustice: Gods Among Us and Hard Reset, the Warhammer games which I knew nothing about but which are pretty cool, gems I wouldn't have tried for money like Driftmoon, weird games I never would have tried like Wooden Floor, and FEZ the first game I won here and have enjoyed so much.

I learn about games from here that I never would have heard of.

And, even though I try to give away good games, I get them through bundles and sales and they are not full price. So, even the SGTools "real value" isn't accurate. I have spent far far less on the games I have given away than the value of the games I have won - both strictly monetarily and value to me.

I agree- I learn about games from this site that I never would have heard of. Good way to learn about less known indie games. Also, I learn about bundles that are active/new.

Entering GA, making GA, the Deals discussion, and puzzles. Still trying to figure out a way to create invite only GA

When you make a GA, there is a three-line bubble of choices under Section #6-- "Everyone, Invite Only, and Whitelist/Steam Groups." Select the bubble you wish. :)

In no particular order:

The Deals section,
the bundle charts,
finding out about free games & promotions
Wishlist,
entering and making giveaways,
the great community on the forum and the laughs, fun, and serious moments they provide,
finding/meeting like-minded gamers,
saying "Happy Cakeday" to those who achieve it,
habit,
this being a friendly site,
the events that occur here,
and finding about games I never would have heard of otherwise. I tend to browse here several times a day.

I love this site! Seriously, I do not know what i would do without it. :D

To gift games of course. Steamgifts makes it really comfortable to gift Steam Keys. Before I came here I was in steam groups dedicasted to gifting games, but you would always have to check if the recipient already had the game or activated the game and then the group forums were always camped by the same 10 people that were subscribed to the threads to call dibs if something came up....

The Deals section is also a big plus.

But maybe I'm just here to look at all these games I can't win.

Mostly the charts in the deals section, but I also read a bit what others say in some of the topics, that I find attractive enough to read by going by their titles, like this one.

At first it was free shit. Then it became about community. Now it's back to free shit(and the nice bundle charts)
