In the most dire of circumstances,

Would you steal a loaf of bread to feed your family? Would you admonish another who chooses to do the opposite?

Either thieve to feed, or starve-- there are no alternatives.

Would be a thief. Hunt or be hunted, survival of the fittest, yada yada.

Stealing the bread does not rule out the chance of the previous owner (or anyone else) stealing it back. ;)

Who wouldn't?
Even the smallest of the creatures would fight for their lives, so why wouldn't i?
I would do ANYTHING to stay alive. Like for real. Even the jigsaw shit.

If there was no other reasonable option, then I would have to. But in a realistic situation there would always be an alternative. Vague answer for a vague question.

I'm pretty sure anyone would steal in order to feed their family/themselves. If they say otherwise they're lying to themselves and you.

I would steal to eat from someone rich if I had to. Still wrong but it won't hurt him that much.

Of course, when faced with the choice of these 2 wrongs I think stealing the loaf of bread is incredibly minor opposed to letting your family starve.

If i ended up in such a dire situation where i even consider stealing as a viable option, i think i would most likely end up doing it.
for the second part of the question what do you mean would i admonish someone if they did the opposite? as in if they didn't steal even though they would be in my same position?
well, i probably wouldn't, no sense in doing so, if they have such a strong sense of justice to not steal even when in real need i would probably be amazed.

If I had exhausted every other option, the yes. No way I'd let my kids die of hunger.

I would steal food and I wouldn't get mad at someone for stealing just a loaf of bread either.
