Some games last quite a long time now, definitely a much better way to do it. Anyone who bothers should easily get some decent games. Though I do wonder if it's just because the botters/multi-account users haven't yet properly prepared/adapted to the change. We'll see next week.

Yet aside from games that have been previously given away for free somewhere, or Medieval Engineers, everything seems to be gone in under a second. I don't find this to be an improvement in the slightest, imo it was better the way it was before.

Absolutely nothing goes in under a second now--not sure what you're talking about. :P Right at the start when keys were going their quickest, I had time to even check steam pages, look through them all and choose. And that was the first day, when everyone had the most points to spend.
"aside from games that have been previously given away for free somewhere, or Medieval Engineers" and this just isn't true either. Medieval Engineers, Space Engineers, and the other 250 costing games stay for quite awhile now, and it's definitely not just games that'd been given away for free apart from them. Are you sure you're there at the start of the hour?
The only way I could see someone preferring how it was before or thinking that was in any way "better" was if they were botting and hate how it's fairer for all now, and how they can't get as many games for themselves... Were you botting? :P How it was before you'd be lucky if you even saw the button while refreshing the page constantly. Games quite literally did go in under a second then.

"Are you sure you're there at the start of the hour?"
No, I'm completely incapable of telling time... I'm refreshing on the hour every hour, and half the time new games don't show until 1 minute after, and whenever I click anything, I just get the message that it's all gone. So if keys are lasting long like you say, something is broken preventing me from getting anything.
As for needing to bot to do good with how it was before. No... You just had to know the timing for refreshing your page, and placement of claim button, but... Offly nice of you to assume bots if someone liked how it was previously. As for fairness, tell that to the people running multi accounts for more games right now.

The first week i did claim alot while mostly were freebies .
2week i did claim 0 games were gone faster than a second and if i was on point the site did tell me that this button is not working
and the AVG time to claim a game was less than a second.
now most things stay for 1,5-10min
i guess either you have super fast reaction or a macro/bot/script whatever to help you ,i dont judge you for using that on such a site .
but i get rather 1-3games a week save than stressing me to spam f5 on a site to maybe get some more games .

There were times the claim button didn't work for me either, but I still got the games. Honestly though, they seem to be going just as fast during this event as they did in the last ones for me, with the exception of the engineer games which I have no interest in, or games that were once free and I already own. But hey, maybe it's just broken for me, I don't know.

If the games really are going in under a second for you now, there is definitely something broken. Because they're not. As for knowing the "timing " and placement of the button for how it was before, I did all that and still you'd be very lucky to get the game in the end. Especially if you had even a mediocre connection or distance from the site's servers.
"As for fairness, tell that to the people running multi accounts for more games right now." They did that before and you know it. And much more successfully. This is fact. More people can much more easily get games now. This is also fact. Even if a multi-account user had 1000 accounts, he wouldn't be able to utilize them all on the same game--else all the accounts would be out of coins after just two or three. Even botters/multi-account users are at least limited now on how much they can abuse them. The fact that you're saying how it was before was "better" and more "fair" does make me wonder, yes, because it was better really only for said botters and people who could abuse the system.
If you're really getting less games now than you were before, and weren't abusing the system before to get so many, fair enough. But how about just being grateful for what you can get/are getting right now--completely free games from a company--and appreciating that more people are able to access and win said games with how it is now. Read the other guy's account.

Well I'll just sum this up to something broken for me I guess. As for previous weeks, got a few good games without the need for bots, whether people choose to believe so or not. As for the topic of bots and abuse though, if they really want to combat it, neither system they've done will be any better towards that, I wasn't implying the current system is more fair, I'm just saying neither are fair. If they want fairness and to stop bots, maybe work out randomized claim button coordinates on a page to counteract bots. If people are using em, it's almost certain that the majority are some pathetic little auto clickers set up on a timer and coordinate, which would operate perfectly fine for both styles of this event.
Anyway, guess I'll keep trying to get something, but at the rate it's going, I might just give up, this is becoming tiresome.

I'd make sure your balance is properly displaying your coins before the giveaway time comes. Sometimes it'd glitch for me and display 0--preventing me from getting anything. If it does say 0 despite you having coins, log in and out, and/or try it in an incognito window.
As for this - "the majority are some pathetic little auto clickers set up on a timer and coordinate, which would operate perfectly fine for both styles of this event." I'm not sure it would work so well for this event--there's multiple games now, in randomized places, and they could very well click on the wrong games and miss out on better ones. It'd be awfully wasteful, and each account of theirs would very possibly not have enough for the next one that appears or tries to click on.

Yah, I've been paying attention to the balance issue, and funny thing, this time around was the first time it happened to me. Seeing some games actually lasting this time too, but... I own all but Burnout, and not really looking for Origin games right now.
My thought for the auto clicking bots though ties together with people making multiple accounts. If people really want to take advantage, and their are people crazy enough to do it, they could load up multiple browsers with multiple accounts, all setup to refresh for the coordinates of different games. Sure they don't know what will appear where, but they could still get a bunch of games of variety, some good, some not so good. Yah it's more work, but the lows some people will go to are that bad.

As I have written before, I have been able to debug Krowns balance by logging out and in again. Looks like in some circumstances a part of their server believes, that you are logged in (I was able to access my account page), but another part has you already logged out.
As for now, in my experience, it seems that multiple accounts would only be needed to claim Krowns. I have seen at times even 100 Krown game (Hitman, for example) still claimable 5-10 minutes after the hour. It may be hard to get a few best known titles, but the rest seems pretty easy to claim. You problems are a mystery for me, unless you were missing the fact, that your balance wrongly was set to zero due to this bug.

You get 50 per day.I guess you started now so 100 should be the maximum amount you would be able to get if you do it exactly at the 24h cooldown. If you started yesterday you should be able to get 150.Both amount of krowns have a few good games

The games seem to go really fast. Do you only get a few minutes to react?

New games appear not on 00 mins 00 seconds. They updated around 1 minute on each hour - do not spam F5 (in my case I refreshed each 5 or so seconds). Some games sold out very fast (i.e. Prey - tried multiple times without luck. Clicked button in 1-2 seconds after I saw button), some - available for full hour

Warning to freebie hunters: Beware What Games You Select! There Are Region Locked Games That Have Been Given Away. Not all games are world usable keys. Quite a few keys are ROW restricted. Watch what you are selecting and don't get duped like I did. Selected Dead Island Riptide, RoW restriction :(

I just did a little Google search and found this link from SteamTrades. It's the exactly same thing, but from 4 years ago. So maybe your friend just got lucky? Well, in any case, we should be careful when doing things like these =D

So happy about their new system, managed to get medieval engineers and... I admit that i was surprised that this game stayed so long. Maybe it was given for free before and i didn't realize ? Anyway i'm very happy.

Ah thank you for this nice message and explanation !
Yes i've been lucky to see a nice person here who was warning us the day it started.
Wish you to get it next week too ! (And wish you a very nice end of week !)

I managed to snatch a couple of keys these past hours. Probably because ppl are running out of points and buy option is active longer. Got MGS V and Risen 3.
FYI Risen 3: Titan Lords Steam CD Key (100 points) is Risen 3 - Complete Edition, comes with all DLCs. Unlike MGSV key - only base game.

I buyed one game and it says it lay now in my inventory. Cool. (My coins are lowered too)
When i try to enter my inventory at https://www.kinguin.net/customer/purchase/ he starts to put something behind, working and then "unable to login. Please try in a few minutes" (i am logged in before) and he repeat that in a endless lope.
Besides that i can't enter the inventory, it kick my login at all other kinguin pages that are open.
Did someone know how to handle that problem (after 1h i think the few minutes are long enough^^) ?
