I am sat outside of my local brewery (Amber Ales) drinking a half pint of Sour Barnes 2. It's their annual beer festival, where they try out experimental beers often with unusual (cucumber, mint, mango, chilli) ingredients.

I may not be playing any computer games until late tomorrow at the earliest ;)

Came back from a summer party organised by the company I work for. Jetskis, motorboats and parachutes, this sort of stuff. Me gusta.

I just woke up from a loooong nap. And it's incredibly hot here, around 43 degrees (Cellius). :/

I honestly laugh at people when they say it's 20-30 degrees and hot, they should feel the real heat we live in. Not that I'm not used to it, I am, but sometimes I hate it just because I wanna sleep. (Going out in a 40 degrees is not a big deal to me anymore, it only gets hard when I'm trying to take a simple nap without having to sweat a lot).

I've never expereinced anything less than -10 degrees!!! I'd probably freeze to death if it goes any lower. If you go through pictures of me as a toddler, you'd say I was somewhat pale, I'm now somewhat yellow(mostly something that looks like a slightly burned skinned), you could also see the difference of skin colour when comparing how my thigh and lower leg look like, the change is permanent though, I can no longer sustain my pale skin :/!!

If I go to the beach, my skin becomes red too, probably because of the salt and the sun rays doing their job.

You probably experience more extremes than I do. Australia just had it hottest autumn on record though and now in winter it's been around 30°C the last few days for me.

It's usually 30 here as well, but this pre-summer weather was the hottest in the past few years. I sometimes find it hard to sleep, and sometimes wake up with a beeping ear and a headache from the heat.

I worked in Rabat for 6 more months and it was nowhere that temperature, if anything I found Rabat a bit cool as I moved there from Sri Lanka

When did you work there? During summer? Also, I'm about 110km deeper in the country than Rabat(that comes to be a city on the sea). Moreover, my city is surrounded by mountains, which makes it nearly impossible for cold breeze to reach us.

I worked there March (when it was cold even compared to the UK but mainly because my apartment didn't have central heating or double glazing) until August. To be honest I'm not sure what the temperature reached but it never struck me as warm compared with Sri Lanka.I only managed to get into the interior once, when we went to Marrakech.

As I said, Rabat is far north than Marrakesh, and it's on the sea, unlike Marrakesh that is also surrounded by mountains that gives it even hotter tempratures. It isn't hot during summers that much, but this year was extraordinary.

I know you haven't asked me, but I would also like to visit your country one day.
And the reasons are:

  • would love to hike in Atlas Mountains;
  • I don't like beaches usually, but you have some nice rocky beaches;
  • Marrakesh, Fez, Rabat - and many more that I do not know of - as beautiful cities with lots of history;
  • the desert. Simple as that - I find the quote from 25th hour (2002), very descriptive about the thing with the deserts: „Every man, woman, and child alive should see the desert one time before they die. Nothin' at all for miles around. Nothin' but sand and rocks and cactus and blue sky. Not a soul in sight. No sirens. No car alarms. Nobody honkin' atcha. No madmen cursin' or pissin' in the streets. You find the silence out there, you find the peace.”

Late edit: I am from Romania. Greetings!

If you would like to hike in some mountains, we have plenty of those for sure.

If you want to vists some nice beaches, you could try some northern beaches near Tangier, Teoutan and Essadia. The best 2 beaches I've seen so far are Legzira and Taghazout, first one is also known as Mer Left(sounds a bit like mere left), it is about 150km south of Agadir. Taghazout is a beach near Agadir.

If you're looking for some watery-mountain experience, you could visit Akchour in the north, a mountain with a nice fall, requires hiking too. There is also Paradise Valley few kilometers near Agadir, somewhat better than Akchour as it is easier to navigate through.

If you want historical cities, I advise you to start off by Fes(it doesn't pronounce as Fez, but rather Fes, the s pronounces as in see or sea), Meknes, Essaouira and Rabat(the only historical thing about this place is the Tower of Hassan).

If you want a desert, we have plenty of that here, and yes IT IS a pleasant experience.

Well, perhaps for foreigners it is beautiful, but from a person's perspectince that lives in it, I say it's not beautiful at all.

Playing GITS. I want to get as much GP (in-game money) as possible before the new patch hits (in 5 days) because it'll add 4 new weapons, 5 if you count the melee one. I'm so excited about the new patch, I watched the stream yesterday where they showed us some of the new stuff and talked about changes in the patch, it's going to be AWESOME.

Do hope to extend a Germany trip in September so I can visit Europa-park :) It's about 2 hours from where I need to be :) (I'm also there next week, but with the holidays started, now probably isn't a good time to visit ;) )

I WAS trying to play Battleborn but it's the most unoptimized piece of shit I've seen in the entire year. I give up. One hour of gameplay and I barely started the prologue. No thanks gearbox. Let's get together for Borderlands 3. In the meantime, leave me alone.

I'm having my second beer at the end of super hot day. Living on the country side is not easy, and this 35 Celsius outside makes it even harder to work so this beer really keeps me refreshed and happy :)

PS
I just read that you're having a beer yourself and I find it very funny coincidence :D

I've been to a 'building festival', It's like a big construction market in the open and everything is up for grabs. Rules? None. well, safetyrelated ones of course. Just build whatever comes to mind. Listen to music, eat, drink, help others. It was awesome :D Thought I would spend an hour or so, ended up being there all day long :)

I am currently idling cards on my best friend's account … so I can trade them to myself!

(My friend is on board with this … He doesn't collect cards, and I'm always getting him those $1 HB deals if there's something promising in the pile.)
