So here I sit, being nosy. How many games do you have installed on steam right now and, if I may ask, what titles are they?

Currently I have 26 installed, If anyone lists them all then I'll add mine in too.

Yep, over 2 1/2 tb and not even that many 40gb+ games or anything, lots of 2-10gb that seems to rack up.

I get games, play them, then a bundle comes along or sale, and i am like i gonna play those games, and it's just a circle.
Or it has some annoying achievements and i am like well i go back to it someday on a good day (i got bad days) but it just never comes. Offcourse i finish and remove finished ones, but they hardly catch up with how many i install.

I think, I must have something like 250-300 GB of games installed.
I need I new HDD at some point, btw my internet its really bad, im from a little town, so just 6mb for me here... plus, im having less time to play nowadays... so I choose what to install.

edit. I really know the feeling of "lets buy this one for next week" and never get to really play them, and im keep buying make feels bad some days when im choosing the "next one" to install

I got atleast 40-50tb (i lost count) of drives and still short. :p Shame the sizes aren't growing anymore, they should have petabyte by now.

External drives aren't that expensive depending on your budget offcourse.
We got about 300 Mbit/s but it also cost 90 euro a month (tv and phone included) it's really expensive, but they got a monopoly here, so not many alternatives and they just drive the price up (speed) under the term of "service", while service should be free doesn't it?

But don't you feel some joy the moment you do buy some games? I compare it to women shopping for clothes and shoes, that's how they feel good at that moment, gaming is my hobby, so maybe why i get so many, even though you probably never get around to it (you have to live to be a 100 and even then to play 10000 games). I am at home right now, and still not even got 200 games 100% completed.

well if my calculation its not bad, I pay something like 15dolars only for internet at home,
90euros for internet, in my country its just for a few ones (maybe 10-15% of population), i dont know how much you know about Argentina, but its getting worst every year…
in my case, since I use internet for work and hobby, and most are little files, i dont care really. but If as an example, want to be a youtuber or work with big files from internet like videos, i must leave here for sure.
in the bigger cityes of the country are 300mb, and its not cheap for real.
acording to stadistic here we have now 50% of the population in a poor "frame" of income,
in pesos (argentinian currency) and with taxes you pay for internet/TV/phone almost half of a promedium salary here.

sorry for my basic english. hope you understand.

edit. btw I have 1tera of hdd, and its enough for me
I beleive that internet must be free worldwide nowdays. hope someday thats happends.

Only that a majority is poor and that our queen is from Argentina. :p
Here in the netherlands it isn't much better either, gas, gasoline, even bread prices going through the roof, although you can't compare country with country, each will have it hard in their own way.

I understand you.

I believe that a place to live, food, basic needs must be free for everyone, like in a Star Trek model, but like with internet, i don't think that's ever going to happen.

  • Back to the Future (installed way back in August of 2020);
  • Detroit: Become Human (finished once, I may play individual chapters for the sake of achievements);
  • Team Fortress 2 (because of the Alienware Arena points);
  • Among the Innocent: A Stricken Tale;
  • Dead By Daylight (I simply can't make myself to play it finally, hah);
  • Eversion (the last time I played it was in the late July 2021);
  • Kopanito All-Star Soccer (because it kisks ass);
  • Strider (hope I'll play it again soon);
  • Tell Me Why (the same reason as for Detroit: Become Human);
  • The Uncertain: The Light at the End (currently playing it);
  • Zombillie.

A bit above 4000 :x
I thought it would be more like 2.5k.
(Yes, that requires a whole bunch of SSDs.)

Suppose installing games and never deleting them is a lot like opening browser tabs and not closing them...

I remember from back when I used to install everything as soon as I got it, the constant onslaught of patches wasn't much fun. Ended up wiping everything some years ago and trying to stick to just a couple. Just a couple ended up being more then I'd like to admit but it's sitting at ~1466 at the moment.

It's more the sheer amount of packages than the amount of installed games that makes Steam unusably slow & freezy, isn't it?
(Of course the worst case would be active family sharing.)

484 installed, but many are indie games so small they barely take up space.

Just 2 games right now in my work laptop.
Kerbal Space Program and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I might have 50-60 games installed in my desktop, but I am not able to use it because I don't have a monitor right now.

Before I reset my system, I had ~600 games installed. They took almost 3TB (otherwise I would've installed even more I guess xD)

Now I have just 49

48, play none of them (except for couple idle clickers which doesn't count), cause have no time. And I want to sink my teeth in some good, juicy RPG game.

572 Items installed. That includes games, a couple apps, OSTs and videos of diverse matters (e.g. Life Is Strange commentaries).
It's 23% of my entire library.
I only play regularly 2 of them. But I also have plenty of space.
I've had more than 1000 installed before the great purge. Don't ask me why...

Its hard to say exactly how many games as I have a lot of games. Steam library shows non steam games and demos and applications so not really a trustworthy source. Plus not all my games are on steam.

My Games folder is 3.78 TB though if that helps. It includes VR games, emulators as well as games from different clients, etc.
Currently on a 8TB SSD.

I have 444 games installed.
Guess I won't name them. lol
What I play changes daily depending on my mood. A lot of times I start a game, then forget about them and months later go back to it. But I also finish a lot of them.

Currently 21. Also have some non Steam games installed as well, such as Star Citizen, or Medieval Dynasty from Xbox App, WWZ from Epic, Sims 3 from Origin, Beat Saber for Rift, and a bunch of emulators since I hate having to hook up consoles every time I wanna go retro. As for current Steam games installed.

  • Banished
  • Brawlhalla
  • Citadel: Forged With Fire
  • Dead By Daylight
  • Dragon Ball Fighter Z
  • TES III: Morrowind
  • TES V: Skyrim
  • Grim Dawn
  • In Silence
  • KoF XIV
  • The Long Dark
  • M&B Warband
  • No Man's Sky
  • Phasmophobia
  • Project Zomboid
  • Road Redemption
  • Sheltered
  • Sonic Mania
  • Stardew Valley
  • Streets of Rage 4
  • Survive The Nights

Not playing them all atm, some I haven't even started playing, but yah. Looking at them, I should prob uninstall some I have no interest in bothering with for a long time, and make space for better stuff.
