Being someone who put down 80 bucks for the Persona Q premium edition I cannot see how on earth this could ever be worth 90.
This is like Preordering not only a game, but the season pass too. Not to mention that you could easily not like the game, or not be able to run it, etc. but now you are paying for not only the game in advance, but you are pre ordering the pre order of the dlc.
In short this is really stupid and no one should buy it.

Origin divides the price of a dollar by 10 in Sweden (a dollar is roughly 7 SEK), so a game like Battlefield hardline, where the digital deluxe edition is supposed to cost 69,99$, it costs 699 SEK, which is about 101$...

And in Spain, EVERY SINGLE STORE IN THE WORLD (Steam included) convert 1$=1E. They sell the games that should cost 40€ (60$) at 60€ (around 80$).
Fucking gaming stores.

It happens this way in almost every country which has the euro currency.

As I have already said many times, I won't buy any game from Ubisoft. Far Cry 3 was the first and last game I bought from them and even with that they screwed me over by adding Uplay to it later. They are the fucking worst gaming company out there.

Far Cry 3 was amazing, and I am happy that there will be a sequel (which actually looks pretty nice, as far as i can tell from the gameplay footage).

$120 for the "most" complete experience of an unknown quality in EU, flavoured with mandatory uplay, despite ubi says "DRM Can't Stop Piracy"... Yeah, that's very customer-friendly behavior..
But that's not enough and to show more how much they love gamers here is disAllowCrossRegionTradingAndGifting lock for us/eu package; and meawhile ru/cis shall also enjoy onlyallowrunincountries lock for a $60 game (that's for a gold edition).
Comment has been collapsed.
60€ is a standard price for AAA titles. 20€ for a season pass is also pretty standard. not sure what you complain about. i am more pissed about the region lock. but the price tag is nothing special (and even cheap compared to call of duty or battlefield).
Comment has been collapsed.
where did i say that this is ok? i didn't. i just wonder why you guys complain now and with this title? i can tell you: you don't complain about a 60€ game, you complain about a ubisoft game, because ubisoft...
Comment has been collapsed.
i am wondering why people complain about these specific games. there are so many AAA titles for 50-60€, and nobody cared. Wolfenstein is singleplayer only with maybe 12 hours content or whatever, and it costs 50€. nobody complains about that. but if ubisoft releases a new AAA title for full price, you can be sure that there will be threads like this. and it doesn't seem to matter, that Far Cry 4 probably has double the singleplayer hours of Wolfenstein and multiplayer and coop. all that matters is - well, ubisoft...
Comment has been collapsed.
+1, and Far Cry 4 is open world but not to bash Wolfenstein, it is a good game. $60 has been the normal price for a while but people want to bitch because ubisoft bundles the season pass and the game in a pre-purchase offer.
And all these people crying about even $60 is too much and wait until its 75% off...holy shit these people must be running on a PC bought with food stamps or something.
Comment has been collapsed.
If you don't like it, how about you search for your spine and say "F U I am not paying that!" Simple as that. Vote with your damned wallets otherwise they will keep treating you like their bitch.

If I had to guess, it's because they're wising up to the fact that selling an incomplete product at launch and then nickel-and-diming people for the rest of the game, one piece of DLC at a time, is leading the smartest gamers to wait for the release of the inevitable "Game of the Year Edition" that includes everything at a lower price.
Unfortunately, instead of improving their business practices and selling us the complete game at launch, they're just trying to make the same amount of money from everyone by offering the full game at launch at a vastly inflated price. Like a lot of other people have said, I recommend just waiting until the price goes down, it's counter-productive to support a game at launch these days, sadly.

Both Ubisoft and EA have actually made press releases stating "games should be priced higher due to the increasing cost of development for next gen", with EA believing the price should be about $120. But people won't accept that, particular during a downturn, so they both decided to make up the difference with DLC practices.
And here's the reason for it. It's a well-studied psychological trick. Most people have a gut reaction against paying $90. But a few don't. So, if you break off slivers of content to sell as DLC, those that will pay $90 then do pay it for the whole shebang, and then many of those who will only pay $60 are happy enough that they got the game at the price they wanted, even if it was cut down. So there's that. And then there's the key psychological reaction demographic, where a large third group of people who would absolutely never pay more than $60 if told to pay upfront, but who won't notice how much they are paying when it is broken up into $60, $10, $5, $5, $5, $2.5, $2.5, because they don't have a feel for the number total. So, suddenly a bunch of people are handing over ~$75-90 for what was the base game without ever having that $90 sticker shock, and the publisher eke's out that much more per sale.
Even better are the expansion packs, though, where they break up what was $30 worth of content into slivers that will now cost a total of $50-60 for the same amount of work, and that same demographic will gladly but unknowingly pay more as long as it comes in $1-9 increments.

You could always do what I do and wait five years for the retail price to drop to $15.

What bothers me the most is "Notice: Purchases made in Chile can only be added to your library if you are in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Bahamas, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, Suriname, El Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela."

Sadly, for as long as the tools keep on supporting such practices, they will keep on screwing us over.
Staying quiet however (and contrary to what the "don't like it don't buy it" crowd want's you to think), it's the worst one can do, as it'll only give them (the Developers/Publishers) the idea that it's ok to screw over their costumers even further.
Comment has been collapsed.
Mmm more insults! I love these. Proud "tool" here. I certainly don't feel screwed over in the slightest. IN fact I love Ubisoft and have no issues with Uplay. Will continue to support them and their games.

One would have to be a tool to actually stop using Uplay (and therefore stop playing their games) because one'd think it'd make a difference and UbiSoft would actually care and change whatever the hell they think needs to be changed. It spells EGO with big letters.
And there's other kind of people, ones that will torrent the shit out of their games and will continue to talk shit and come up with excuses to not pay for games. Conscience soothing, completed.
Both are children-like mentalities. People think they're entitled to everything and they have to have it right away. At top of that they think everything needs to work perfectly or else they're not going to pay for it. It screams immature from a distance. Grow the fuck up people, you are not entitled to anything and everything you buy is optional, you don't need games to live, to survive and piracy is wrong.
I guess I'm done.

Why wouldn't stopping help? Last time, when people stopped buying their games after the Starforce fiasco, it very nearly bankrupted the company. They only managed to squeak out of it by switching to consoles and appealing to a younger group of gamers who didn't know them. Piss off those new customers, though, and aback down they'll go.
Comment has been collapsed.
Because for it to hurt them a lot, and I mean A LOT of people would have to do that simultaneously.

You can still buy the game for $60. The DLC's are just random extras.
I'm not a fan of DLC's but I'm glad they exist for those who want them. I very rarely buy them personally.
In proportion to the amount of enjoyment you can get from some games, $60 (even $90) is still relatively cheap.

I don't understand all the fuss. It includes Season Pass. Season pass always costs around 20-30$. So, once again, what's the big deal? Just buy the regular version.

exactly what i was saying earlier. people are just constantly looking for new opportunities to bash ubisoft, that's all.

The problem is that people don't think. It's common sense. Just analyze what gold edition contains and how much would it cost separately and then do the math lol.
Comment has been collapsed.
Just wait till they release this games in bundles. No matter if it takes time, dont buy at high prices and with most companies DayOne-DLC policy.
Comment has been collapsed.
i am glad not everybody thinks like that. else we would not have any more AAA titles in the future. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
sorry, that's just wrong. it is pretty clear, what AAA means. these titles have extemely high production values. they cost a shitton of money, and thats why they cost us so much. to be honest, i am surprised that indie titles still cost 10-20€, while having production costs of maybe 1/100.
i love my indie games, but i wouldn't want to give up on AAA games. and i am sure nearly nobody would want that. what do you think why people in here are so upset? because they don't care about the game? no, they want it. they just want it cheaper, but they want it.

so you want to tell me, there is no difference in production budget between assassins creed and binding of isaac?
