Fighters and hack and slash games, or most reflex and combo based game genres. Stealth is good, too.
However, I am mostly rubbish at anything involving a vehicle, and multiplayer shooters are very hit or miss. I can be great at cooperative ones, but I don't practice enough to stay relevant in competitive ones. Real time strategy is easier for me than turn based, but I'm not great at either, haha.

Dark Souls.. I've completed a Soul Level 1 run (of DS1 & DS3 actually).
I've also speedrun Dark Souls in a little over 2 hours (no glitches/skips, current patch, any%).
Feels pretty nerdy to make such claims. Btw there are many many Dark Souls players who are much better than me, but I'm probably better than the average/casual player.

Hmm have always been good at the Mario Kart games. Also probably not anymore, but I used to be really good at Donkey Kong Country and knew all the secrets.

All Paradox games, from Mount & Blade to Hearts of Iron.
Also pretty much all stealth games such as Splinter Cell, Thief, etc. I love stealth and strategy games.
Shooters I'm just average because I'm not a big fan of twitch shooters/reactions anymore, which mostly dominate the market nowadays. I'm a master at Doom 1 & 2 though.
I'm also really good at Dark Souls, but that's because Dark Souls really isn't that hard. It's a learning experience. It's like going to school and immediately taking the exams before your lessons. Hard, but once you've got the hang of it, it becomes easier and easier as you go.

I used to be pretty good in Starcraft and CS, many many many years ago. In a Starcraft LAN party I was good enough to beat 4 friends all by myself once. Online I rarely played competitive, sometimes replacing missing players for one befriended team. And I never lost a single game! Which never was my doing though. ;D
In CS it was similar. Slightly above average online, the absolute king in LAN sessions.
I have fond memories of a large gathering, when we united 3 big LAN parties. I went rogue and played under a different name. During a break one of the guys I usually trashed around, came and asked what I'd be doing. He said that there'd be gamer, who'd certainly manage to beat me. Till this day I remember the face he made, when he finally got that I was said player. (◕‿-)✌
These days I certainly wouldn't shame myself in games such as EU4 or Stellaris. But I'd have to play a lot more competitive games, to get used to the differing playing styles against humans.

I'm also not a very competitive person... usually if I find myself beating another person by a wide margin, what's the fun in that? I'll ease up or make some "mistakes" and give them a chance to catch up to keep it interesting and so they feel as if they had a chance to win. :) and if I win or lose I don't really get too excited or bothered either way.

I was a master of Crash Team Racing when I was a wee lad. Now I´m too old to be good at video games, too much work :P

I could name a couple but one that really sticks out is Fallout new vegas. Putting the difficulty at Very hard hardcore mode still leaves me bored with how easy it seems. Course I haven't been able to try its dlc on that mode yet because my only version with the dlc (on the pc) WONT F****NG WORK!

I was amazing at Red Dead Redemption... auto-headshots from the hip pretty much 95% of the time. Ironically, I am not very good at most FPS games, and don't like online. This game I destroyed everything at though when I played regularly. I'd be nice until somebody messed with me, then I would totally grief them mercilessly until they left for another zone. Got all gold everything and maxed my badge + got about every single possible nickname on there as well. I really enjoyed casually killing in that game... ^_^
Didn't understand the whole Dark Souls thing either, since they are not really too difficult, generally. Most stuff just requires proper timing and dodges. The bosses and enemies have "tells", so you have a split second chance to dodge or get a few attacks in... unless you are carrying half a house on your back. I guess the tendency is to want to unload on anything attacking you and not stop until it is dead, but pot-shotting is a great strategy, like in boxing, etc. Most bosses on the third one I finished off on my second try. First was a practice exhibition (I said exhibition!) round to figure out what they were about, and I won those outright, or ended up losing some life/flasks, so I'd kinda just give up and play a second go once I sort of had a good idea of what was going on. A few of the bosses gave me probs. I think there were four in Dark Souls III that took me more than two tries to finish off. I had a worse time just getting to them after deaths! The whole "git gud" crud... uhm... no. It's not about that. Not at all. I will say the game is not a cakewalk either though...
I don't like difficult games either, and I put a lot of games on easy unless I have a reason to play a harder mode, but these haven't bothered me all that much. Sure, I curse here and there, but it's not something that becomes habitual for hours on end, like... uhm.... other games. Mirror's Edge gave me a hell of a hard time finishing the timed runs! I'd say that turned out to be much harder than DS, although I haven't finished all three to completion. Also, my reflexes suck these days thanks to chronic illnesses, yet I can still handle Souls games fairly reasonably, compared to some stuff out there on hard mode. 4X's and most RTS are much worse for me!!

How 'bout none? I have horrible skills. I've played very few games on anything other than medium difficulty (only because achievements forced me to) and it took me ages to beat them.
