There are some games that will never be in a bundle, so points for steam.
Waiting for a game to be put in a bundle on other sites can some times take a year or more.
Steam occasionally will offer their own bundles for game series that are on part with a third party bundle site.
Finally, them 80% or 90% discounts are too good to pass up.

Subscription is going to be the future. Steam will retain the trophy hunters. That's just my opinion.

Low prices for indie games are important to me.

It's unsettling that Steam retains a higher fee from game sales than Epic. Epic, however, under represents indie games.

If we're talking about buying Steam keys from resellers like GMG or HB, then yes, they are almost always cheaper. Reasons for buying on Steam anyway would be the refund system or having wallet to spend, which I regularly have. I had 55€ saved up and bought Cyberpunk 2077 for it. Other than that I prefer HB because of the monthly discount of up to 20% (sadly not always the case for new games).

If we're talking about Steam vs. Epic vs. GOG etc., I don't see why anyone would be 100% loyal to just Steam while ignoring all the other options. Steam had a quasi-monopoly for the longest time, and I am happy the market finally got some competition, thanks to Epic. I also think they have way better sales than Steam due to the 10€ coupons. Steam might have better community features, sure. But that's not worth paying significantly more money. And in some cases it is actually very significant. You could buy Hades for less than 10 bucks on Epic, or pay the full 21€ on Steam. I don't think the Steam features are worth paying double.

Bundles on Steam are amazing!. If they have like 5 games or more for example and I already own 2 or so of them, I save even more getting the rest!

Steam has a lot more services than Epic has.
Its has a much better storefront, so even if I were to buy the game on Epic, I would first check the steam storefront.
Steam also has reviews, etc.
Steam has much better friend integration. I can actually talk to my friends using voice in steam. I can make group chats in steam. I can see what server my friends are playing their games in and join them.. all without even opening a particular game.
Then there is steam workshop. Steam also has Steam VR. Waiting for my G2 to arrive. Steam has a lot more games than Epic.
Plus Epic are scummy. On the other hand while I might not agree with how Steam runs everything, I do very much agree with their underlying principles that guide them as a storefront.

All these things combined means, that I am usually very much open to playing a game on Steam rather than Epic. If its a Ubisoft game, I would just get it on uplay though. Having 2 storefronts for one game launch is somewhat silly.
