Good thing your link doesn't go to an actual profile or this would be "calling out."

use common sense. you can't just ask for +reps willynilly. you have to do trades. again; be cautious. if you are only here for trade, the trade section is buzzing with crowd. sometimes spilling over n creating threads about trade that don't belong in forum..but i digress there are puzzles in forums n giveaways to enter...it's a magical land

welcome =)
you get +reps after successful trades.
here's a (dated) trading guide, that might help you to trade safely: http://www.steamgifts.com/trade/tIA8K/trading-guide-humble-advice-from-yours-truly
here's another (newer) guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=498278891
btw, the best way not to get scammed is to do the whole trade inside the Steam trading window (which doesn't work, if Steam keys / Paypal / ... is involved)

If you're looking for cash you probably should only trade with users that have high REP or you should the other person go first.
however, you should watch out for impersonators and you should keep in mind that users can charge back their money, either via Paypal other via their Credit Card institute (so making the other user go first isn't totally safe, either).
I have only traded once for money, and I insisted on a verified Paypal account and on the other person going first. I didn't have any problem, but then again it was only once and we're talking about ~1.5 Euro value, so it wouldn't have been that much of a loss, even if I would have been scammed.

Avoid that, middleman used to be a thing a long time ago but nowadays (due to middleman getting their accounts locked after unknowingly acting as a middleman for scammed items) it isn't really a thing anymore, in fact it seems that a lot of scammers offer using a middleman that ends up being in on the scam once you send him your part of the trade.
Assuming that when you say "cashout" you mean you're looking to sell the gifts you've got for paypal funds i'd advice you to find people who're looking to buy it and go first with them, if you open a thread yourself while having barely any rep it tends to attract scammers but if you're the one adding someone then you should be safe in my experience.

People mostly trade:
games for games
games for cards, gems, tods, keys, pp, steam wallet
keys for pp
and probably something else I totally forgot about

Just a tip: click on "reply" under a post to reply to that poster :P

Welcome to Steamgifts!
First, you need to know that you can reply to messages, this notifies the user you're writing to of your message. It's useful and makes people reply faster.
Second, I personally obtained reps (mostly on Steam) by trading my game keys for Steam trading cards. I always went second, never had a problem.
Finally, you can leave -Rep right here on Steamgift to the people who scammed you, you just have to go to their profile and click on "Trade feedback". There, you can leave a -rep and write the reason (scamming). You should do so in order to let other people know that they're scammers. There's also Steamrep that is a MUST if you want to trade pretty much anything. It's a site MADE for + and - reps.

Exactly. Rep, be it positive or negative, should be left where everyone can easily check it, but leaving it only on the user's Steam account is not enough.
The reason is that on Steam, comments can be deleted. The scammer could delete the -reps comments and nobody would ever know of it. Thus, nobody would know they're trading with a scammer.
On SteamGifts however, reps cannot be deleted by anyone but the user who left it. The problem is that if the user does not have a SteamGift account, then you can't leave rep on its "Trade feedback".
That's why you should first and foremost leave rep on SteamRep, which allows you to give rep to absolutely ANY existing Steam user.
To get you started on SteamRep, you can read their FAQ and how to efficiently use the REP system.
Glad to see you got repped already, hope you'll meet nice traders on your way!

Hello, this is LiGhT, just want to say I am excited to be here and in time I wish that I can get your trust but in order to do so I need some guidance...
How can I start getting +reps?
I got scammed twice on Steam and in order to make my sales I need trust. Im not going 1st again unless its a highly +reped profile from SG.
Thank you,
LiGhT
