There's so much beautiful video game music out there, so I wanted to show you/share/remind you of some of my favorites!
Get through the not very hard(?) puzzle to find a train with bundled and some unbundled games at the end! To enter, all you need is to be lvl1+ and pass the SG tools check for no rule violations.
Enjoy! :-)

Games on the train are:

-Endorlight
-Age of Steel: Recharge
-Alien Rage - Unlimited
-Death Goat
-Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition
-Cities in Motion 2 Collection
-Darksiders
-Red Faction Guerrilla Steam Edition
-SanctuaryRPG: Black Edition
-Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Collector's Edition
-Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
-Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition

You can still get on the train until January 24th!
The giveaways have ended! Congratulations to the winners, keep your eyes peeled for the next VGM puzzle ;-)

edit: I guess my taste is more niche than I thought! Updated some of the hints.

edit2: I really wanted my giveaways to be open to anyone, but so far less than 30 people have solved it. That's why I have now added screenshots of each game to make it easier to guess. While they may still be old, some of you may recognize the images, while others who don't have an even easier way of finding the solution. Good luck to all!

Let's give this a little bump!
I really meant for this train to be accessible to more people...if the number of solvers doesn't change much, I'll add pictures some time next week to make it easier.

You mean the answer? It will accept different formats, one of them being the way the official Wikipedia entry is spelled.

I've tried different things and gave up.
Will check wiki tomorow :)

how much time left? I just saw this puzzle and would like to try. BTW this game names should be the same as on steam?

Still running for a week, no worries! As I say in the puzzle header, not all of them are Steam games. But I put in different possible formats for each answer, and at least one of them fits the game's wikipedia entry. Go ahead!

Nope, can't do a single one of them. Maybe the hints will help, but idk.
Judging by other people's comments i think these games may be from before my time though, which would explain it.

Possibly ;-)
But with the hints and Google, it's definitely solvable.

Googling the whole clue might be the wrong way to go about it, but for some of them, it works.

Those seem to be the hardest, possibly because of the age and the lack of popularity, respectively. But the hints should help you finish it!

This thread is making me feel really old :-P

It's not that I'm not old. I played games on i386. Just that not everyone played the same games. For example, I pretty much hadn't played Nintendo at all and I have an impression that half of these are specifically on that system, jRPGs and stuff...

I will admit half of them are very tough if you've never owned an N64.
But Nr. 4, for example, is a game that would run on a 386.

Sounds like some RPG though. The only RPG I played in my childhood was Shining in the Darkness (and I didn't understand much, because I didn't even know English).

Nope, the first one is the only true RPG on that list. 4 is RTS :-)

Oh yes! I'm just not a sountrack kind of guy (Didn't even recognize C&C smh... would recognize Dune maybe). It wouldn't run on 386 though.

I got curious and googled system requirements. You're right, it seems like it wouldn't run optimally. Guess I played it on a 486, then :-)

With the pictures it is really easy. Surprisingly I played half of them but without the pictures could only figure out two. The first one is really obvious if you have ever been in that place. For question four and six (and two) I would be surprised if a lot of people are able to recognize the track without hints.

I thought 4 was extremely recognizable to people who've played it, it's still one of my all-time favorites. That might of course be partly due to massive nostalgia.
