There is one for games under 1$, another for packs, and one for glitched prices, that obviously turned into...pretty much this thread.
Comment has been collapsed.
i agree, there were the same exact threads previous sales ! :o)
But hidden gems are not necessary cheap deals or under 1$ or glitched prices.
But i understand that multiplication of these sort of threads can tire you.

We should drop "glitched Prices" next year, people are too hopeful

I would have to buy and play it first, but it's probably a good shmup is you already own ikaruga.
They seem to have a live community and tournaments

Monster Monpiece is a lot, but not a gem. It's very grindy and the enemies cheat to compensate for bad AI. Even in early game, most enemies are able to use cards from 1-3 areas later, and they get unobtainable cards with insane stats near endgame. There's even cases where enemies have cards that are better on average than the best card you can obtain...

Low price and the cards alone pay for half of it

One dollar, and I'm really enjoying it so far
Might add more late ;)

1931: Scheherazade at the Library of Pergamum
Not the historical lowest but there's a ton of content for the price. Twenty hours in and I still didn't get my first ending. I don't think many people know about it, Long Live the Queen fans should give it a try.

Line Way
Disoriented
Detective Grimoire
The Shape of Heart - reminds me a bit of Pony Island which I loved. Somehow I also enjoy its graphic style :P
The Sandbox Evolution
Learn Japanese to Survive - the title is self-explanatory: play the game and learn Japanese at the same time :) I've heard it is quite effective :)
1979 Revolution: Black Friday - looks like an interesting story and it is enough to intrigue me
The Guild II - Renaissance - something different, not usual knights and castles medieval game, instead it is a story of a clerk (IIRC) who's going to make his way through in ranks. EDIT: so you have 8 characters to chose from: mercenary, grave digger, stonemason, juggler, innkeeper, banker, miller and the fruit grower. Your objective is to become the most powerful in town, sounds awesome to me :)
A Good Snowman Is Hard to Build - looks like a great puzzle game, the concept is really interesting, despite weird theme :D
Miasmata
Casuality
Milkmaid of the Milky Way - pixel art, nice story and fjords, do we need anything else? :P
Interloper - minimalistic yet nice looking MP game with an interesting concept
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Sumeru - great looking puzzle game, the gameplay seems to be quite interesting too
Political Animals - looks like a nice and funny managment game :)
Shardlight - seems to be a game that has nice story
Paint It Back

I can comment on the few that I have :)
Detective Grimoire - Amazing game, sort of like Professor Layton. Though it's only 2-3 hours, I'd say it's definitely worth it.
Crypt of the Necrodancer - Great rhythm game that features steam workshop. Hours of entertainment.

Also, thank you, because I tossed some of these onto my wishlist :)

Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force
JRPG full of hilarious JRPG trope jokes, sort of similar to Nep-Nep
Not something I personally own, but it is a WL game for me that I've heard great things about - Historical Low Price.

Near historical low, collection of games by the creator of "Super Meat Boy" and "The Binding of Isaac"
Only tried out one so far, but it has great reviews and I'm looking forward to trying more.

Historical Low, amazing platformer game with great story and detail to Alaskan culture
I usually have issues sitting down and just playing a game for horus on end, but I beat this one in I think two sittings? Definitely one of my favorite games. Probably not so much a 'hidden gem' but I thought I'd add it. If you can, I'd say grab the DLC, too

Is ADF like a rework of the original? The screenshots look like it covers (at least some of) the same events, so I was a little confused.

Penumbra Collectors Pack - Amnesia is definitely more popular, but for 1,49€ its a must own for horror fans. You can also install Necrologue and requiem.
GoNNER - Incredibly fun fast paced platformer, it's a bit short and relatively easy
I was going to recommend Call of Cthullu but that game as a nasty bug later on, way after the 2 hour mark for a refund, but it's totally doable even without a patch

Ty, added it to the list !

I like Hyperdevotion Noire, it's turn-based and stuff, but still a change of pace from the others (plus, Noire). And Monster Monpiece is great from what I've played, though collecting different cards feels a bit slow at times (maybe just because I'm going pretty slow through the story and clearing all the fights in each area?).
Also, I haven't gotten it yet, so I'm not sure how it is, but Moekuri is at it's historical low (I think) and it looks pretty fun.
Also, the Disgaea games, maybe? It looks like they're at a new historical low (at least the digital dood editions)?
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm thinking of buying them for myself and a few games for my sister or something. There's so many tempting things, though. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Disgaea is a very, very long game to beat (in my experience) and consists of a lot of strategy and battling. If you're fine with stuff like that, I'd say the games are a great mix of comedy and wonderful storylines. I personally love the art style as well.
Comment has been collapsed.
Actually, Disgaea's a pretty standard length for an RPG if you just want to beat it. But then there's a ridiculous amount of postgame content.
In the first game, the final boss is level 90. The postgame bosses go up to 6000. That is not a typo. Ninety. Six thousand.
Comment has been collapsed.
Then I just suck at the game xP I think it feels so long to me because each 'fight' takes longer than in other games? Like it's not hit it and be done xD
Comment has been collapsed.
I might just get the first for now, and save getting 2 until it gets a little cheaper (if it does) or until I "finish" the first. Then I'll still be able to get more cool things or something.
Comment has been collapsed.
Lowest price by a pretty good margin, but I'm personally holding off as this may very well indicate that it will get bundled soon :p

Why they don't answer ? They have no idea of gems this year ?
... OMG i'm drowned !!! \o/
Thanks all for the gems suggestions, i stop to add to list (it's already pretty big !!!)
But don't hesitate to add more ! i'm sure many are interested to read your ideas !

Kingdom: New Lands Royal Edition is a really great game that i got into a couple days ago with a neat learning curve with the mechanic that actually punishes you if you did a bad move (might be game ending in some cases). It requires you to think and plan most of your actions ahead and the difficulty level increases as per your progression on the islands. The further you get on the game the more stuff to unlock so it doesn't feel too mundane even after playing it after sometime, even though RNG is surely a nice factor in generating a good map for you.
This got bundled on HB April's Monthly but its also on lowest ever now if you did not get it (its also on mobile) , i strongly urge users that wants to try it to go play it. If you love those games where you build a pixel army, farm gold, upgrade your defenses, fight greed, build ships to get to other islands, explore new and unique game mechanics and RNG while riding an animal and just moving the arrow keys (game is suited for 1 handed gameplay). This is definitely the game for you
There are Kingdom: New Lands and Kingdom: New Lands Royal Edition. Both are the same game but Kingdom: New Lands is the older version and if you bought the Royal Edition it has new updates and includes the older version of the game as well.

+1 for Kingdom. I started with the original and got New Lands free when it came out, and they are definitely worth the play. I lose soo much time playing it sometimes.

The Cat Machine Fun programming challenge type puzzler. Not the most difficult one I've played, but it has enough variation within it's limited mechanics.

Divinity dragon commander is a good game and has a pretty big sale right now. http://store.steampowered.com/app/243950/Divinity_Dragon_Commander/
EDIT: I liked it a lot because you run your own government, and you can either decide to be a monarchy or a democracy.
plus, you can turn into a dragon and command HUGE armies! The story is really epic as well. The choices you make actually have benefits/consequences and it's just so COOL.

Transistor is an amazing game, but very harrd I've heard - so only get it if you'er willing to put in a lot of time and effort xP

23 tracks- 25 extended versions and a bonus track *
I know music, games and any form of entertainment is a matter of taste.
That said, your opinion takes nothing from its value.
Edit, and not playing this game is missing out on a truly well polished game. The OST i put on whenever i need good music. Hell, i downloaded the game recently just to have the OST in the music section... but .. its a taste.
Comment has been collapsed.
I might listen to all of it once, but will probably only listen to Ashley Barrett's singing more than that, because that's what really drew me to this OST, and I understand there are 5 tracks with her singing. That's why I wrote that. But I think it's worth it for that.
As for the game, I hardly play games, and I buy more than I play, so most games go unplayed. I have a lot of good games on my backlog.
(Frankly I'd rather get the game and OST at GOG, but I'm not going to wait for an equivalent sale there.)

Hello, usually there was this sort of thread previous sales. But i don't think to have seen it this year.
So... Any ideas about some hidden gems of this summer sale ? Not the cheapest games or best deals, not famous top-seller, but you know, these hidden gems. These unknown games that catch our attention by their quality/originality and have never been bundled or very rarely so not many know/own them. Tell me a word about why you like them ! :D
For best deals/glitch/cheap prices on famous games => the thread of glitch/best prices
