How can one photo be the problem, everyone isn't browsing the page with that photo. I think they just found a symptom to a bigger problem.

Google flagged a cat photo on our forum as suspicious. It was attached to a user's comment in April 2015. The offending comment has been removed, so the issue should resolve itself shortly. Crisis averted.

Perhaps the website the photo had been hosted on was compromised, and rather than serving up a jpeg it was serving up a malicious file or page, so anyone who may have viewed that post and tried to load the image potentially would have been put at risk.

Still happens for me on Firefox but oddly only when trying to load permalinks (such as when posting a comment and SG redirects to the permalinked comment).
