I like them. If you've donated that much money you're in the small handful of people that are really what's driven this site to see as much success as it has.
Sure they probably don't "need" to win giveaways as much as some, but if you're giving that much money you deserve a small perk.
And considering they've made dozens of people happy, having a couple extra chances to win isn't a big deal.

"If you would prefer to limit this giveaway to users that have contributed a certain value in gifts to our community, please enter the amount above. Please note, the maximum amount you can enter above is twice the amount of your gifts contributed. Maximum allowed for your account, $1,157.32."
Also, OP, if you actually said thank you more than 3.96% of the time when you enter giveaways I might actually care about what you think. Contribute something to the community that's more substantial than this whining. In fact, it's SteamGifts users like this that are the reason why I only make contributor giveaways anymore. I've no interest in giving away games to people who'll never give back to the community.

What I hate more is trying to enter a contributor giveaway that requires $10.00 and you've only contributed $9.99 . So close yet so far. They should start selling games for an even $10 instead of having .99 cents at the end of it. then I wouldn't have some $1.91 left over on a prepaid card that I don't know what to do with.

How to give away Fortix:
Have an extra dollar lying around? Buy a giftable copy of Fortix with it. Then go to SteamGifts.com and make a giveaway for Fortix.
How to give away games more expensive than Fortix:
Have an extra dollar lying around? Put it in a SteamGifts piggy bank. Repeat with other dollars lying around until you have the requisite number of dollars to buy a more expensive game. Buy game as a giftable copy and make a giveaway on SteamGifts for it.

Dude, I have no job, I'm paying off debt out of my own pocket, and yet I managed to give away Portal 2.
How? Easy. Cut out a box of pringles/cigs/someuseless thing every shopping trip and within 5-6 shopping trips, you'll have 20 bucks.

Exactly, it isn't that hard to give up a thing or two here or there to have funds to giveaway something (I mean hell look at how much people like Fortix giveaways which are $0.99 not on sale...it doesn't have to be something expensive like Skyrim).
Even if it is small, it's still something! My friend who also doesn't have a job is finding ways to make giveaways for people.

In this case, as it turns out, Unit88 is a) underage, and b) in Hungary, where it's not so easy to set up something like Paypal without a credit card.
He didn't specify this at first, but leaving aside the whiny bitching about being unable to enter some giveaways, I understand his situation.

I'm honestly surprised the thread hasn't been closed yet.

It's not hard to give back. Gifting games just feels good. Give it a shot sometime, you might enjoy it.

Sorry about this, it just seemed really odd to me. My reason for not giving away is was kind of wrong. I don't giveaway because I'm poor I don't giveaway (and buy on Steam) games because for me it's pretty hard to get my money onto Steam, as 16 year old teenager. Maybe someone can explain it to me, just so I'm aware at how should I do it. At this age I can't really get a job, so money is a problem though still. And now I apologize to everyone and I thank everyone in one go for giving away games, especially MoneyHypeMike who is extremely generous and everyone should join his Steam group. Last but not least I want to apologize if there are any grammar mistakes, because I live in Hungary my native language is not English.

Here in Hungary it's way harder, and even if I find one it isn't going to pay very much. And as I said money is not the MAIN problem.

I don't know how easy it would be to get a Paypal account set up in your situation, Unit88, but that might be an option if it doesn't mean having to have a credit card. I don't know if WebMoney or ClickandBuy would be options that work, either, but good luck on getting it sorted out.

Well I haven't seen one of those yet. Maybe someday.

I'm 15, I've given away stuff on here (not much, about $25 dollars worth, and I didnt even pay that much for the gifts, I dont have a job, but I do odd jobs here and there and I manage my money well (Example: Steam Summer Sale:D) But yeah.... doing odd jobs can't be THAT hard to find, even in this economy...

I hate that there are tons of contributor giveaways which require 400-600$. I can't imagine why would someone make a giveaway like that. It's liek saying 'You can have a chance of winning a free chewing gum, but ONLY if you're rich'. It's not bugging me because I want to enter them, because I'm too poor so I haven't made a single giveaway, but this amount of money is just unreasonable IMO.
