How do you order your Steam Library?

I don't add my finished games to any category so it goes to "My Games".

-favorites
games that i could play in the future
-done
games that i completed one way or another. some of them have all achievments unlocked some are just completed once or twice
-online
poe and dota2 some time ago evolve 2 was there.
-strange
some strange stuff like language learning games or other stuff
-meh...
shit i bought for cards loooooooong time ago or other games that i don't want to touch

so because my videocard toasty fried now i played only poe on minimals and some other not so fat games like torchlight and others. also i'm lazy and don't want to repair my gamepad so i don't play some other games that i could like valdis story: ac and other games.

Categories are: Crap Games, Favorites, Probably Crap (mostly cheap bundle extras), Unsorted, and Games to Give Another Chance (for games that weren't bad, but at the time maybe I wasn't feeling that genre, so I'll try again at a later date.

at the end of the day, i write the name of the game i want to install to play in the next few mounths... but Is nice to see the house in order... jajajjaj

Depressurizer stopped working for me, it wouldn't categorize the new games

Games that are on my to-play list I leave unsorted, stuff that I may some day play (and isn't trash) I keep in General category, also there's Retro for really old stuff. And finally I put my favorite games in Favorites. Everything else (i.e. trash) i hide from library.🙄

I keep it the alphabetical mess, but I'm not a fan of how 'The' and 'A' and stuff like that don't count in the title for sorting... mate, if I'm looking for The Witness, I ain't wanting to search under W :|

I have five categories at the moment, and those are:
Play - For games that are currently installed and I am actively trying to work through (like for the "[month] is a play game" challenges)
Play in the Future - for everything I haven't touched/only idled
Played 100% - as the name suggests, for all the games I've played and reached 100% achievement completion according to Steam stats
Played No Achievements - same as above, for all the ones I've played but they lack Steam achievements.
Needs achievements - And the final category is for games I've beaten but haven't 100%. They might need more playthroughs, collectibles/challenges or the likeliest culprit of beating the game on the hardest difficulty (currently about half of the games under the category indeed are missing the difficulty achievement)

I made the separation for two different 'Played' categories after I noticed that a game I had completed before had received achievements, so now I try to check even played ones from time to see if more achievements/new things have been added that I should play

I order my games into the following categories.. "DLC Needed" "No DLC Available" "All DLC owned", "0-99% Achievements" "100% Achivements" "Games Started", "No Longer Sold" and "Steam Games" (for when I want to add Uplay, Origin, Minecraft, etc).

Games can be in more than one category, and I tend to play games that seem interesting to me at that time, so I normally have between 6 and 10 games installed at any one time.

Played/SP/Fun, Played/SP/Shit, Played/MP/Fun, Played/MP/Shit, Unplayed

I have them organised by store.
Bundlestars, Get Games, Greenman Gaming, HB, Promo,Trades,...
I have some sub categorized like Co-op/Party, Online, VR (Which I don`t have)
Also have a Played sub for each main category (HB played etc,)

I dont care where the game comes from actually so categorizing per genre would actually give a better oversight. Maybe some day Ill change it.

I got a bunch of categories plus check out sections of varying degrees of priority. Half of my library is unsorted though.

Well, I created categories but, the problem is Steam does not save folders closed and every time I open the app, Steam reopens many folders, making things annoying. :/

ZZ All Games - Sometimes I can't remember a genre right offhand, so every game (except those I hate) goes into this category in addition to their genre category.

I put games I deeply don't like/would never want to play again in hidden, I also put games I just think would be a waste of my valuable time playing other games that're better in my hidden file.

Then my Games folder, which is a default folder that is just games I have currently installed on my computer.

Then "games with gore" sometimes i'm weak with gore, so I put all games with gore that could potentially be a bit much for me sometimes in there.

then my "games i'll play eventually" backlog folder.

"Games beaten and or done with" sometimes I want to play them again, so I put them there so I don't have to go through the hassle of going through my hidden list to find them.

"beaten and sort of hidden" Games that were mediocre or okay. Not that bad but not really something i'm going out of my way to look for to play again. But I might want to play again.

"Beaten" Games I beat and liked and potentially may want to play again.

"play again someday" at this point, kind of self-explanatory. Game I liked so much I want to play it again in the future, for sure.

I categorize everything. Some games end up in multiple categories.

In the library page you can click "games" on right side of search bar and just choose "installed" which will filter to only installed stuff then use favorites for stuff you actually enjoy.

9. Trash (Anything I don't plan to play)
   After that I have one per non steam launcher I use.
   I actually use those numbers in category names to keep them in order as well.

Favorites, Completed, and NOPE (or I just delete the bad games)

Directly in Steam, I have the following categories:

• Favorites - Quick category for installed games I'm currently playing
• Active - All games I have installed
• Completed - Games I have completed (story-wise, not achievement-wise)
• Local Multiplayer - Couch coop/multi
• Online Multiplayer - Online coop/multi
• Played - Games I haven't completed, but have played enough to have a good knowledge of
• Playing Appreciated - Games I have to play this month - PA giveaways
• Queue - Games I'm planning on playing next (never happens)
• Started - Games I have played, but not enough to be able to claim I've really played them
• SteamGifts - For no reason other than acknowledge I've received them here
• To Play - Eventually
• VR - I wish I could remove that one for I have no VR device, but Scanner Sombre insists on being in there

I prefer to organize games by status rather than genre because it helps me go through my backlog, and usually I want to play specific games, and not genres.
I have Local and Online Multiplayer because if I invite a friend over or connect with people online, I want to see at a glance which games I have that we could play.
Also I'm well aware that I can filter by Installed on Steam, but keeping games in Active remind me to change the categories once I have uninstalled a game.

I also have a master spreadsheet that I use to keep track of all my games, and all my keys.
It allows me to put quick descriptions for all my games in order to prioritize which ones to play next.
