Until now, i can't finish "A Wizard's Lizard". It's still too hard for me. Almost 11h spent, only 9k Gold at the begin and always too slow to reach a citizen and increase the starting amount of gold. Also, i still can't detect the damned "spiked platform that hit you when you are on its range" and basically are these trap that damaged me every time before the slime boss, lol.
Also, "Shadowgrounds". Too frustrating, enemies are too strong and it has bad commands FOR ME.

I never finished Just Cause 2 because it was to huge to try and complete everything it needed a fast travel and well sure it could be repetitive but pretty much all games full under that as repetitive is anything that you do over and over and even FF is that way as it same thing go here kill this person, now go here and kill these people collect this to upgrade your stats
never go into Darksiders never looked good to me
never cared for FF series and its repetitive dungeon slaying and well i never was a huge fan of turn based
never played Super Hexagon
i played and finished Deus Ex the story was weak and some of the game play was repetitive but over all i thought it was decent and was worth playing but then again i liked Deus Ex Invisible War best and i am sure a few would disagree
Thief series i have never been able to finish them though some day maybe i will but the latest Thief is just boring and i think some how missed a chance to be great as after playing it a few hours i still could not figure out why i was stealing stuff i felt like i was just collecting things and i was just taking it because it was there
but there are not many games i do not complete but most i play i end up finishing later instead of around the time i get it

Borderlands 2 - Bleh.
Driftmoon - Meh.
F.E.A.R. 3 - UGH.
Metro 2033 - That damn librarian...
Motte Island - Go get the car. Done. Go get the fuel. Done. Go get the car keys. Fuck you.
Red Faction: Guerrilla - So many enemies...
The Ship Single Player - NO, I DON'T WANT TO PROTECT YOU FROM MURDERERS.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 - Alright, let's do this stealthily. Got detected... Ah well, I'll try again. Damn, detected again. I'll try again... UGH, FUCK THIS SHIT.
Dead Space - I keep dying. ;_;

C-Rush - Well, it's a pretty neat little game. It's a shoot 'em up similar to Sine Mora. However, it has only 4 stages and you start off with 9 lives if I recall and you have to beat the game in one go, there's no continue or anything. I tried like four times and couldn't get past stage three and I don't think it's worth to keep trying. I was never good with shoot 'em up games. There's no plot, you're just thrown right into the action. It's not bad but more arcade than story driven game.
The Chaos Engine - Well, it's just not really good. The game is boring and controlling the character is awkward. But the real issue is that the game is really and I mean really boring. There are better retro games on Steam.
Corporate Lifestyle Simulator - Fighting zombies as a white collar worker. It's very boring and gameplay is far from satisfactory. I don't even know if this game can be finished but honestly I couldn't care less. It's terrible.
Deadly 30 - Side scrolling zombie shooter. I don't even know if it can be finished. But the game's really boring. You just move forward in the night with a flashlight and shoot zombies all around you. And that's basically it.

I just need a really long vacation from college and work to wrap these up:
Skyrim (FUS RO...ehhh, can be long, thank goodness for eyecandy mods tho)
Dishonored (started this, enjoying it, not sure why I stopped)
Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning (keep trying to boost the right skills to make the epic weapons and armor and be able to use them early)
Amazing Spiderman 2 (Seriously, every time I got far my cousin would pop over, play a bit and throw off my spider mojo causing me to restart)
Dragon Age Origins (thoroughly enjoying this so I take my time...I get to fight in a freaking blight yo!)
The Witcher 1 and 2 (recently got these so started part 1 and not touching part 2 till i'm done with the prior)
All 3 current Batman Arkham Games (saving each of those for midnight marathons)
Deus EX (legendary stuff I am still yet to play)
Fallout New Vegas (saving this for more holidays, deathclaw bbq ^^)
FEAR series (oh they were beaten, but on a less capable machine...will run through them once again)
All the others are either multi (Borderlands etc) or indie games I've just not cracked into or found the time to play...yet ;)

Diamond Dan - A platform game in which you have to collect maps and treasures. It's similar to Tobe's Vertical Adventure and Canyon Capers except that it's worse. It bored me very quickly. It's also annoying because most of the blocks on the map just go up and down whenever they feel like it so you might get squashed by chance or you will be forced to wait until some of the blocks (not even knowing which ones) will move out of the way. It's not fun, just annoying.
Growing Pains - Pretty nice little platform game. It's not bad but there's no story whatsoever and I have a feeling the levels are more of a "challenge" type than anything else. If you like a challenge then give it a try. Music is also very nice.
Level 22: Gary's Misadventures - Pretty nice stealth game but it has one major flaw: controls. Controlling the character is not convenient. Basically you have to click mouse where you want him to go and there's no way to control him with keyboard. Also, if you want to use an object you have to move the mouse to the edge of the screen and click it and all this in two seconds while a guard (or someone else) isn't looking. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and there's a way to control all this with keyboard but I couldn't find a way. The harder the game gets the more annoying controlling the protagonist gets. The game itself is not bad, it's pretty humorous, graphics are nice and I would definitely keep playing it if it wasn't for the inconvenient controls.

Hmmm Hmmm. It has to be Starcraft 2 WoL Campaign. I've completed the HotS campaign but dang, the WoL campaign is so dang boring so I think that will stay there for a while... until I feel like I want to finally beat the crips of it!

Constant C - Let me start off by saying it is a good game. It's a combination of puzzle and platform game. I would say you have to think a lot and you also have to be very agile. I've beaten 3/4 of the game and then it got very hard. I'd say this is a combination of Super Meat Boy and The Swapper (even though you don't use clones here but you do play with gravity a lot) and at the beginning it's easy. But later on it's getting harder and harder. I could keep on trying and maybe I'll come back to this game and finish it but for now I am done with this one. It got me swearing left and right all the time. It can get really frustrating. If you like a really hard challenge then go for it.

Puzzle Kingdoms - It bored me after a few minutes. I guess I'm not into such games.
Hero Siege - I don't think it can be finished as it's rogue-like but it bored me very fast. Not really interesting. I don't understand the hype.

Jet Gunner - Another retro platform game, after Oniken and 8-Bit Commando, that looks good on screenshots but is very poor in terms of gameplay. The game is very chaotic, it's too fast, we have too little control over what's happening on the screen. Also it's hard to even see an incoming enemy because the field of view is rather small. So we just move right hoping we'll get as little damage as possible because there's no way to actually dodge most enemies and their attacks. All of this is too hectic. Remember Contra? It was nothing like it. Field of view was pretty big and the game wasn't fast nor chaotic, we could actually control what was going on there. Here you don't have this chance. That's my main issue but the issue is so big that not only it prevents you from enjoying the game, it makes you want to shut it off and turn to better games that fall under the same category.

Intrusion 2 - I didn't like this one nor the first one. It's just boring and controls could have been a lot better. Also, many items like boxes, trees, snow balls, rocks and so on block you from moving on and after a while it gets very annoying. There's also no real plot (other than you crash landed and apparently everyone in the area wants you dead). Meh.

Another Perspective - It's a puzzle game similar to Braid and The Swapper (although playing with clones was definitely better in The Swapper). Overall it's a good puzzle game but I'm not in the mood for such hardcore thinking right now. If you enjoy puzzle games and like racking your brain then go for it, you'll probably love it.

It doesn't have to be boring... If I take a break, just 2/3 games without playing that game, I cannot get myself to get back to it.
And so, my Steam library is filled with unfinished games that were left on different stages of completion, never able to reach the so long-desired climax.

Just dropped Alan Wake a few hours ago, around 1/3 of the 2nd chapter.
While the game looks really nice and has potential, the slow pace and repetitive encouters killed it for me.
Have to add that I'm not a fan of "horror" games, so it was already a bad start.

Same here, I don't think that rewards worth my efforts :/

Such coincidence, I'm also tired of the zombie, MP and MMO fad. Not so much for war games, but they have to be well made / fun.

I don't mind war games nor zombie games (I even enjoy COD SP campaigns and I loved Dead Island and many other zombie games) but enough is enough. There are almost no mystery/thriller/horror games coming out. 75% of all games coming out are either war themed, zombie themed or are MMORPG's/COOP. Back in the day, in the 2000's and in the 90's there was a lot more of differentiation in video games. Almost every video game was different, had a different theme and now? It all looks the same. Yeah, there's still a lot of good games, there are still gems but not nearly enough of the genres I mentioned. Thankfully there are a few announced that look really good (Quantum Break, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, SOMA, The Evil Within etc.).

Give it another try. It's such an amazing game and experience. When I started playing it I couldn't stop until I finished it. Then I played the bonus chapter, and after that American Nightmare. Almost two weeks after completion I was thinking about it and the story it told. It is certainly one of the most interesting games ever made.
The music is fantastic. What Petri Alanko did is fascinating and it fits in perfectly. Also Poets of the Fall performed a couple of great songs.

I will most likely try it in some time (maybe months, most likely year(s)).
It does seem to give something, but I'm not a fan of horror stories as I said, and the slow pace with the same taken encounters all the time just don't make me think I'll be able to hold on until the end.
I agree the music is quite good.

Well in that case you'll be missing out on a piece of art in gaming history.

I have, back when it was announced at E3 last year. Too bad it's not coming out for PC. We'll most likely have to wait for another year after the console release. :(

Enemy Front - lame developers wont fix the game. (good luck to anyone buying their new $50 pos Lords of the Fallen)

Ludwig - Well, it's hard to say something about this game. It's neither good nor bad. The gameplay is pretty nice, atmosphere is not bad, humor is pretty nice but controlling the character could be better and the game itself is so damn boring. It's educational so you'll do a lot of experiments regarding combustion, wind and so on. I think it's suitable for kids or people who are new to PC games, the rest will be bored. The game's just too easy and there's no challenge at all. Also, graphics on wide screen monitors are just not very good. Give it a shot if you're bored, otherwise look for something else to play.

Amnesia. This comic perfectly illustrates my experience with it.
Also: OP, you have terrible taste.

Actually that monster is probably the most scary monster ever created in video games. In most monsters are just... well, just are. But this one in Amnesia made me feel really weird. With leather straps and mouth dropping to the floor. Really creepy.

List your games that you've put hours of gameplay but still couldn't finish it after weeks or months since start because how boring it was.
Here's mine:
Deus Ex Human revolution - boring storyline and setting, gameplay is too repetitive.EDIT: I finished it :D
Just Cause 2 - bad storyline, bad driving engine
Darksiders - just boring
Final Fantasy VII - stuck at Chocobo Quest
Super Hexagon - It's too damn hard! EDIT: Finished it recently :D
