Homemade Pizza or restaurant bought?
3 pages. so i won't read all of it, and if someone already told my tip than ignore
Preheat the oven to it's maximum temp (250C is enough). then once you put the Pizza inside the oven reduce it to the temp you want (200).
the dough comes out more crispier.
also, if you are serious about making more Pizzas buy a stone. the make the top part of the Pizza a bit harder and more like the old fire stove ovens.

Hey! nice looking pizza! :)
I have been cooking for some time now, and you know what, it's not hard. :D I haven't mastered baking yet, so I usually go and buy dough for my pizza, for now, and do the toppings myself. :)
When I started to cook I went with precise recipes and simple things, but before you know it, I was like: "Hmmm, this will go nicely with this!" or: "I should add a pinch of this to that." You start to have an understanding for tastes and for the process itself. And it can be great fun, especially if you have someone to cook with you so you make a thing out of it. :D
P.S. When I first made pizza, my boyfriend asked if the next time we could use hotdogs instead of salami, and I said: "Why not!" :D
The world of cooking is your oyster! ;)

As long as it tastes awesome! It won't look pretty, mangled in your stomach, anyways... ;)

:D That is why I always sprinkle the cake with chocolate (usually I make chocolate cakes because it is my favorite) or something like that, to hide all my messy icing. :D

I've cheated a bit with the deserts the last few times and made things like pannacotta, which automatically looks nice. Last time it was a chocolate pannacotta with a fresh water melon, raspberry & peppermint smoothie (and now I'm hungry). It's hard to fail those, it's the main course that tend to be a bit trickier.

Festive just because of the colored peppers or because you spotted the candy cane in the lower corner? This picture was taken on Jan 18th, so it was probably soon after the christmas tree was taken down. The funny thing is that there's still 1 candy cane remaining in that same spot where it was in that picture 7 months ago, lol. I guess my family isn't too fond of candy canes.

Festive, because it looks indulging and vibrant in colour and taste :)

I don't normally make them that thick either. It's just because I made a sicilian pizza and that's what makes it a sicilian, lol.
Edit: I posted a picture about half way down page 2 that shows what a normal pizza I make looks like.

That pizza looks good, even more so since it's your first try! Good job! :)
As for what I prefer, restaurant or home made... well, I'm italian, we practically s**t pizza around here, there are pizzerias everywhere and I know a couple of places not far from home that can make state-of-the-art pizza, like something unbelievably good and they cost average 5-10 euros/pizza. That said I also love the pizza my wife makes at home (never tried myself), so in the end I don't have a real preference, I like to have them all, thin crust, thick crust, double dough, whatever :D
The only thing I don't like to do is to have pizza delivered at home... it's usually bad. Even take away is usually bad, it must be the pizza box making it all harder to chew. Better go to their place and eat it there, I have a much better experience that way.

I just had a pizza delivered yesterday! It was quite good, but not selfmade. We have the selfmade pizza from time to time though. But I'm too lazy to make the dough on my own, so I'll buy a Pizza Kit (premade dough and toamto sauce). It's fairly cheap and saves a bit of hassle ;)

what do you mean by homemade? pizzas come out of restaurants. they grow only there, in the garden behind the restaurant. everyone knows that!

a good thing about living in Italy: there aren't all those big brands like domino's & co. and you can find real pizza restaurants serving awesome pizza almost everywhere :D
homemade pizza is always good anyway :D
ps: your pizza looks very nice ;)

Looks delish!
I'd love to make my own pizza, but with my Fibro fog being what it is, I'd rather not try anything more complex than toast or ramen. At least a scorched pan isn't as bad as an oven failure might be. lol

I cook a lot by myself - It's like a little hobby for me - it's a great stress reducer - I have to work physically a little bit, have to focus on stuff so cannot think about problems and in the end I get yummy food :> You can see a gallery with a few photos of my food here :>

Hey fellow gamers,
Dupetank(Tankmaster) here. So today I made Pizza. At home. By myself. I know scary right?
I've always bought pizza from the likes of Domino's, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasar's, and Papa John's. Never did I think that I could make one myself. Cause I mean, who can rival their deliciousness? Well today I learned. I can.
I woke up this morning with one thing on my mind. I'm hungry. And a small craving for pizza. I scraped through my wallet and managed to scrounge up $8. Not good enough. To feed me and my sheeplike(cause they can't do anything for themselves) brothers I would need at least 2-3 pizzas.
Then I thought. Wait. Maybe I can MAKE THE PIZZA'S!!!!!
This in itself is a novel method of thought amongst me and my brothers. So then I hit the web, skimming through websites, and Google pages looking how to go about making pizza. I managed to wrap my head around the general idea and ingredients. But the scary part was the oven. I've never in my life used an oven. Or even thought of it.
Of course it was always there. But we(I) always used it to store random things like pots and pans(hidden cases of beer).
The process was shaky and full of nervousness. My brothers hung around behind me, practically breathing on my neck, and occasionally looked over my shoulder to see how it was going along.
This was the result.
This result made me change my attitude about restaurant bought foods and homemade foods.
To be sure there shall be more homemade food than takeout at my place from now on.
SO my question to you guys(and some gals) is. Do you make stuff at home? Specifically, have you made pizza at home before? If so, how did it go? Also any other suggestions on what I should take on next?
EDIT: How rude of me. I totally forgot to include the giveaways!!!!
Well, better late then never......

EDIT: To those of you asking for a recipe. I followed this one to the letter. Except for the pepperoni part.
I used a 16" Pan from my local walmart(yeah yeah i know).
