I won the game FINAL FANTASY® XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition, activated it, but sgtools said that is not activated.
Comment has been collapsed.
It looks like it's one of these games that doesn't show up after being activated - not single person that have wrote review has it in their library.
But at the same time it's kind of subscription game, where you have to pay monthly to be able to play in it. I'm curious what will happen when you won't pay for it every month.
It's up to knsys to add this game to whitelist. It's only way of making your profile "clean".

How can i add this game to wishlist, if i already have it?And what i just doing to fix this problem?

Sorry again. Dumb me. :'. After I checked "TempeteJoachim" its showed me this result so when I had this one also for you and ambidot, I didn't realize I did type names wrong.
And yep, I didn't typed wrong for TempeteJoachim because I copied/pasted his name that time. :3.

Since this afternoon, I cannot enter SGTools giveaways. It says that I have unactivated wins. The only ones listed here, are the whitelisted ones (and they were activated, of course):
http://www.sgtools.info/nonactivated/popocho
¿Do you have any idea why this is happening? ¿A bug maybe? Steam community is online and my profile is public.
Comment has been collapsed.
I let popocho know about manual sync in another forum thread, which fixed it.
Since this is an FAQ, might it be an idea to mention this possible solution in the error dialogue that pops up saying you might have a private profile or unactivated wins? (Feel free to ignore this suggestion if it might increase server load unreasonably.)
Comment has been collapsed.
SG Tools keeps telling me that I have unactivated wins or a private profile lately. My report http://www.sgtools.info/nonactivated/golwar seems clean though. At least there aren't any entries that previously would have prevented a pass for that rule.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey I like your service, but I ran into some problems:
When I try to enter a giveaway, the tool says I have unactivated wins or a private profile (manual sync does not help)
Besides that, it says that my sent/won ratio is 0, and that my CV is 0
The strange thing is that the CV tool does recognise my CV
I had no problem with the requirements before btw

During the above window, the hosting's networking team will be performing some proactive software upgrades of their edge routers in the datacenter. This is to pre-emptively address an identified issue and to improve performance of the routers.
Expected Impact:

It appears that Hitman (the new one, releasing later today) is creating a false positive, as my account is marked with not having activated it. And yes, I actually did activate it and I also resynced my account before having my profile checked again. Probably an issue with pre-order-wins in general?

No, banning proces is manual, based on many factors including our 2hu council. SGT does not know if you didn't send your giveaway link to your friends, so we can't ban everyone not meeting requirements.
Process looks like this:

A really odd thing happened to me when checking one of my finished giveaways which had a single invalid entry (for Archi's thread). It showed me a second invalid entrant which led me to believe there might be false positives.
This is the giveaway I'm talking about. 2d66d6e3-d0e7-11e5-83b1-04019cc0dc01
The second time I re-checked it was gone.

I didn't know what Archi's thread was until I connected today and chatted with him.
The behavior you are describing only happens when a user changes it's sg username, and it's something I am aware of.
Thanks for the direct notification though, I missed that thread completely :)

Hey
Was checking a winner for not-activated wins and Holy Avatar vs. Maidens of the Dead is flagged. However s/he won Grotesque Tactics Complete Pack back in 2013 and Holy Avatar vs. Maidens of the Dead is only added to the pack in 2014.
I don't know if cross checking dates too is viable but there you go.
Comment has been collapsed.
SGTools reads the package linked by Steamgifts, so it's imposible for the tools to know that.
Usually on those cases, Steamgifts adds an entry on the giveaway list that represents the old package to solve that, so this is probably the correct way of handling that.
Comment has been collapsed.
There's no old package, they just added the game to the package and kept the same sub ID.
It's not possible to show it as non-activated only if the giveaway ended after the release date of the game ?
Comment has been collapsed.
Technically this case should work as AJIam suggests in his post. If he did receive the package it should now have that other game (same package id means it gets added to every package owner).
It seems like the case of people sending 2 (bundled) keys to form a package that at that time was the full content of the package but now it isn't.
Comment has been collapsed.
If the user had received the package, Holy Avatar vs. Maidens of the Dead should have been added to the user's account when it was added to the sub. It is possible the Grotesque Tactics Complete Pack giveaway creator sent the winner individual codes for Grotesque Tactics 1 & 2. I saw that happen before with packages. Many people don't realize they are not carved in stone.

"Hi,
Many time ago, i win two diferent giveaways for the same game, i believe the 2 of them were active at the same time.
When i win the 2 giveaways i try to giveaway one of them but someone tell me said to me that i could't do that. So i trade it for a few steam cards.
But now in many sg tools giveaway if you won the same game mutiple times you can enter to that giveaway, can we solved this? I don't know, i could buy the game and giveaway to delete the duplicate win? Any chance of that? Or something else?
If not, thanks anyway for reading this!
Best Regards.-"
Thats was my ticket to support, they asked me this
"Hello Alaundo.
Unfortunately the giveaway creator is unresponsive to requests, so the usual process of buying a copy to return to the giveaway creator and having them reroll would not work. "
I have any solution to this? Let me know if there is one. Thanks!
Comment has been collapsed.
Unfortunately there is no solution for that, you won't be able to enter giveaways that ask for "not multiple wins" or "not multiple win on the last X days" where days are greater than the time that second win happened.
There is no solution because your multiple win is there and that specific rule is to prevent cases like yours to enter the giveaway (the rule is not mandatory neither marked by default, so it's the giveaway creator decision to mark it).
Comment has been collapsed.
Judging from the message you cited above, it is not about multiple wins. You entered a giveaway protected by sgtools by using a leaked link.

Hello. Going trough sgtools check today I got the message "Banned You were caught trying to cheat the system or entering a sgtools protected giveaway without permission."
Can I know why? If it's because of entering to protected giveaways with a leaked url, like you've said in the posts above, I would like to know which giveaways and who initiated the ban.

Ok, I've checked all giveaways of Victor Vran that I've entered. Looks like it is the one, ended 2 month ago http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/bv5kf/victor-vran-arpg - it's the only giveaway which creator blacklisted me. Honestly, I don't remember where i get the link, but I didn't know it was leaked.
Looks like I can't do anything with that, but I have a proposition. It would be really great if users, who enter giveaway by leaked link could be warned somehow. For example, you can add to faq recommendation to write specific description in giveaways protected by sgtools.
Comment has been collapsed.
In SGT thread there is a user script that helps you create SGT giveaways, that puts a warning on the description. But nobody is forced to use it.
As a rule of thumb, if you get a private giveaway link from someone that is not the GA creator, it most probably is a leaked giveaway!

which goes here http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/LfLk7/legends-of-persia
you never would have passed that check unless the creator changed the requirements in which you wouldn't have been banned for that

how can i check that ,u can go and ask the person urself , i highly doubt he would wait one day until he decides he wants to change it
Comment has been collapsed.
I didn't change anything, and I'm pretty sure anyone who did the puzzle can confirm that. After the jigsaw, I gave 5 characters leading to a very old GA (from my very first puzzle), with the SGT link in it.
You were the only invalid entry, I checked your ratio and there was NO WAY you could pass the SGtools link protection. Your friend however did, and gave you the link, yeah. That was your only friend who got the SGT url too, the only one. And this friend entered just a few minutes before you do. You couldn't do more obvious than that.

So, everyone can create private giveaway, post it on SGTools.
Than create theme on SG forum (or another forums) with direct link to this giveaway (not link to SGTools site).
And everyone who enter this giveaway will be bannned...
Nice. Really nice.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think if someone does that, it will be uncovered quickly and they will be banned from sgt + a suspension here for Inappropriate Behavior. As this would be a quite severe case, the suspension could be a long one.
Any comments from staff?
Comment has been collapsed.
We'll see when/if this occurs. But keep in mind it's generally not our responsibility to ensure third party sites are working as intended. In addition, it's not against any rule to post your own giveaway wherever you want.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well it's technically posible, but if someone really did that, the chances of him being the only banned on SGT are extremely high.
If you are indirectly asking why you got banned, you entered a protected Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler-
giveaway with a leaked url ;)

And how can I know - is it real user or not if giveaway link posted on non-steam forums?
It's just not correctly rule. If there was a warning - I agree, it would be my fault. But there is no warnings. o_O
If someone posted leaked giveaway - it's not good. But it bad if everyone who entered was banned...
Comment has been collapsed.
I have a question --
I see steamgifts giveaway links posted in my feed from various legit groups I am in all the time - a couple dozen daily, usually.
All it would take is one person posting one leaked sgtools giveaway link to get 100's of people banned from sgtools?
IMHO there need to be other measures in place to prevent people being banned for instances that may not be entirely their fault. People could easily troll others by pasting them leaked links and causing them a perma ban on sgtools.
Now with these new measures in place (perma-banning) people have to be almost paranoid to enter any giveaways that are pasted anywhere at any time.
Comment has been collapsed.
Only way you can be sure that you won't get sgtools banned is to not enter any private giveaways other than if you've gotten the link from sgtools.
Comment has been collapsed.
And if someone decides to troll by creating an sgtools protected link themselves, then distributing it in a group? And what if they then tell people to feel free to tell others to enter?
Meanwhile you end up with a large group of people banned from sgtools giveaways. For how long? And who decides when and if these bans are lifted? Is it SG staff (where these giveaways take place)? Nope, it's two guys who are not staff at all.
Also, what's to keep them from arbitrarily banning people they choose?
Long story short, these insta-bans administered by a party of two non-sg staff are a bit extreme, in my opinion. There are too many ways this system could be easily abused/misused, especially when they take place outside of sg itself. There's no system of checks and balances like there is among sg support staff.
EDIT: Oh and what if someone suddenly decides to change the SGTools giveaway rules mid-giveaway, thus making several entries invalid and then reports them as invalid entries (which can then only be considered "leaked" by the rules given)? Keep in mind, these are just possibilities coming from the top of my head. I am sure someone more clever than I am could think of a dozen other ways to abuse this system ....
Comment has been collapsed.
Ohh, you got me there! Better to not enter any private giveaways at all ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
I think if you edit the rules midway, the users that got the links before are still vaild. SGT only makes a list of users that have received a valid link by passing the rules at that moment.
Comment has been collapsed.
And if that is correct, it only addresses one possible misuse.
You have two people deciding who gets banned and who doesn't, and these bans are permanent, a little too extreme for my liking.
There are too many cases where someone could be incorrectly, falsely, or arbitrarily banned imho. Of course, if any of those people were to post about it on the forums, they'd be flamed to death with torch-bearing witch-hunters who couldn't possibly believe a mistake could have been made somewhere ....
Comment has been collapsed.
I see your point, but I don't see a too big difference to SG. How many people are allowed to ban here? 4? Admin & Mods?
You said above that there are many GAs posted on your feed. Are those invite only or group GAs?
Comment has been collapsed.
but I don't see a too big difference to SG. How many people are allowed to ban here? 4? Admin & Mods?
There's a system of checks & balances here, along with a "must have proof" system in place before any action is taken against someone. Not to mention there is no perma-ban on a first offense, outside of a few particularly bad offenses. What constitutes "proof" for an sgtools ban? Who decides that? Two people are the judge, jury, and executioner in that case. Two people who have nothing to do with SG support -- I take issue with that ...
You said above that there are many GAs posted on your feed. Are those invite only or group GAs?
Primarily group GAs, I would assume (I rarely enter anything in my feed). But in reality, how hard would it be for someone to post an invite-only GA in a group and make people feel they're getting exclusive access to a giveaway? How many invite-only GAs do people enter here at SG for that exact reason ...?
All I am saying is, the perma-ban should be reconsidered, or at the very least only applied after multiple offenses are proven to be the same person committing them. The bans should also be applied in equal measure across the board for everyone, with no bias either way (tward either applying the ban or removing a ban). Since I haven't seen any of my concerns addressed as yet, I felt obligated to bring them up.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree,a perma ban on first offense is way too severe , i believe everyone deserves at least a 2nd chance
Comment has been collapsed.
I would be very much in agreement with a 3-strikes, you're out system. It would be much more difficult to abuse that way, and much less likely to result in unfounded or inaccurate bans.
There should also be some sort of written system of "proof" in place, which can also be used to lift bans if proven false. Right now it's two guys deciding who, when, and why, and those of us using SGTools really have had no say in how it's handled. I guess you could say this is my personal say in the matter ...
I am picturing already a very trustworthy and popular level 9-10 SG user being banned falsely (or arbitrarily) and coming to the forums to complain, and the ensuing drama ... or the first time a "friend's" ban is lifted, or an enemy incurs a ban for no reason. These are my concerns ...

I support you on the point that one time offenders should have a chance to redeem themself.
I also think that Archi's bot is very good at pattern recognition and will be able to separate mistakes from deliberate intention, given that the sample size is sufficient. Yes sample size is a problem right now, but it will get better fast.

I also think that Archi's bot is very good at pattern recognition
Would you bet a perma-ban on that? ;) I sure wouldn't.
If even one person gets falsely banned and cannot get it lifted, the system has failed imho. The whole perma-ban could be done away with entirely. I has worked without it so far, I don't see why it needs to be implemented at all, but if it does need to be implemented, then yes, no first offense bannings and very concrete proof should be a prerequisite.
I have only used SGTools for one giveaway, but I've supported it since the very start as another means for people to regulate their giveaways. Recently, however, I have changed my stance on its use after considering the possibilities of its misuse. Also, my apologies for being verbose with my replies - I rarely type this much as a reply, but I feel pretty strongly about this issue and want to type exactly what I mean ...

Would you bet a perma-ban on that?
After doing statistics in science for a while - yes, if sample size is sufficient.
I see your point, I think it is valid and should at least be considered and I don't think apologies from you are necessary (yet?). I would like to think that knsys and Archi have given some thought to the matter.

Point 1 - SGT is third-party site, you can either agree to use it, or not. Nobody is forcing you to take part in SGT-protected giveaways if you don't agree with the service, it's rules, or me/knsys banning people.
Point 2 - Everybody can appeal in this thread to his ban, and those appeals in 90% (and soon, more) cases are not being resolved by the same person who issues the ban. I am mostly taking reports, and KnSYS is responding to ban appeals. If you think that I'm "the bad guy" that banned somebody for no reason, you can always appeal here, let KnSYS review your case, and get unban. But ask yourself if KnSYS gave me the power to ban people if he didn't trust me.
Point 3 - There are no automated bans. I am the one (and KnSYS) who decides whether case is valid or not. There's no way you can get banned for doing nothing, because there is no automated system that is banning people left and right. You can only get a suspension if you in fact did join giveaway you were not allowed to. If you were banned by a mistake, you can appeal, and get unban, but that would involve a mistake of the system being used, and that's unlikely.
And finally to your point, after you keep in mind all points above. If you get a link from guy A, linking to guy's B invite only giveaway, then you don't join, simple as that - because you should ONLY join links that are either:
a) Given to you by creator directly
b) Given to you by authorized by him systems, such as SGT
The only solution to not getting banned is not entering any private giveaways. Really. But usually, you don't need to do that (sigh), all you have to do is making sure that you're allowed to join the giveaway you're joing. You can even ask the creator in comments if you aren't sure, it's not hard.
If anybody attempted to abuse the system, it would be spotted pretty fast. And I mean real abuse, because if I sent you a link to SGT protected giveaway of some other guy, then it's your only damn fault that you neither asked nor made sure that you can join it. The only real issue might be if I trolled you by impersonating the creator, but in this case you can check if steamIDs match, or ask in comments.
Comment has been collapsed.

That's a cop-out and addresses nothing I've said.
Point 2 - Everybody can appeal in this thread to his ban,
And risk 100's of blacklists in a public forum? Only to debate the situation with you and knsys, the only two people who can ban in the first place?
I am mostly taking reports, and KnSYS is responding to ban appeals. If you think that I'm "the bad guy" that banned somebody for no reason, you can always appeal here,
So an appeal to the only two people who could have possibly created the ban is the only way to get unbanned? I call that pretty unreasonable at best. That's like asking the policeman that arrested you to find you not guilty in court.
a) Given to you by creator directly
And what's to stop someone from making a private sgtools ga, then passing the link around? Every entry is then invalid.
then it's your only damn fault that you neither asked nor made sure that you can join it.
And this is why I am against perma-bans on a first offense. Everyone makes mistakes.
Basically you've sidestepped everything I've asked with the "what knsys and I say is law" stance, which I'm sorry, but isn't very persuasive in the best case scenario, and comes off as police-like and dictatorial in the worst case scenario. Like I said, what's to stop you from deciding you don't like someone and just outright banning them? Then they have to come post on a thread here pleading their case in front of everyone, only to earn MORE blacklists? Do you really think that's a reasonable approach?
I used to fully support SGTools in the past. Since the addition of perma-bans, I can no longer say I support it in the slightest.

Them I'm afraid you're back to point 1, because KnSYS repeated many times that there's no democracy here (same as on SG), and if you don't agree with me and knsys being issuing bans, then you're also not agreeing with using the service in general.
And bans existed since the first day of SGT giveaways module, now we just started actively using it.

No, they can contact KnSYS privately, I'm not sure if you can't see alternative ways of appealing to ban, or you don't want to see them, because in current state I see that you're totally negative about what we're doing, so even if I brought the most logical and valid reason you'd still feel that it's not proper - there's no way one can convince somebody on the internet.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, I'm totally negative about perma-bans. You're 100% correct about that.
I don't believe they're necessary at all, but if they are then I believe it should be a three-strikes system, where only multiple offenses can earn a perma-ban. Period.
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone posting on this thread, including myself, and including you. The only way to circumvent that is to give people ample opportunity to prove their ill intentions. Once, even twice, could be a mistake made somewhere. Hell, even three times could be mistakes being made, though the chance lessens with each additional offense.
Again, simply stating that you've brought the "most logical and valid reason" doesn't invalidate my concerns (nor does it make what you've said true just because you say so), and just comes off as a cheap way to sidestep and dismiss what I've said. Your entire attitude toward my initial questioning of the methods speaks volumes.
As I've clearly stated several times now -- I was in full support of sgtools until these perma-bans were instituted. So no, I wasn't negative at all about sgtools until recently, and even now my "negativity" (you call it that, I call them valid concerns) is only directed toward the ways and means of the perma-bans.
I've even used sgtools myself.

even now my "negativity" (you call it that, I call them valid concerns) is only directed toward the ways and means of the perma-bans.
That's why I have nothing more to add, because KnSYS decides upon how bans are handled, for how long, and if at all - I decide only if user is guilty or not, and since you're not asking about that anymore (as I already answered that above), I can't really brought up anything interesting anymore, so perhaps KnSYS will further answer.

I have issue with this. SteamID check should not be a requirement for entering giveaways
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not. However, if you believe that a guy is impersonating giveaway creator and is trying to lead you into the "trap", you can connect his steamID with his SG profile to check if that's truly a case.
That's very, VERY rare though. Somebody would have to put serious effort in trying to ban one from SGT, and I really doubt people would do that only for that purpose, they could get more profits by just scamming other people with trades instead.
Comment has been collapsed.
Should we talk with users who got a (perma)ban here at SG ? Do we have any evidence ?
In 90% of cases the evidence is publicly available. Just take a look at their unactivated wins or what games they have on their account :P
In most of the leftover cases is a bit more difficult but you can still find enough circumstantial evidence if you stalk through their steam account
Comment has been collapsed.
Also, what's to keep them from arbitrarily banning people they choose?
Do you really think they ban people just for fun/personal reason ? Invalid entries will be checked and if necessary, the affected person will be banned. It's not their fault if someone don't use the "original" sgtools link.

Do you really think they "waste" their time with banning random people ? Your conclusions appear highly speculative :)
btw:They only react. In the end,the ga creator is responsible for the consequences.

Your conclusions appear highly speculative :)
Highly speculative, but entirely possible. ;)
Your assumptions assume no fallacy on the part of the people doing the banning.
I lack that faith in anything that breathes and bleeds, my friend.
And no, they aren't limited to merely "reacting". They are free to ban who they choose when they choose, by their own admission, simply by adding them to a list. That's a HUGE problem with me, especially when they're able to bypass the giveaway creator's decision, or giveaways at all to ban someone.
On top of that, then that person has to come here, to the forums, to appeal that ban to the same people who banned him ... which will only lead to further witch hunts, regardless of the person's innocence or guilt.

Again, I do not see the difference to SG. What/Who is stopping cg from banning random users?
I strongly suggest at this point to let it go for 1 day or so, else I fear you and Archi (or others) will smash the other's head.

I fear you and Archi (or others) will smash the other's head.
That's not the case, I try to be neutral in all cases, that's one of the reasons why I stopped using my blacklist nearly ~4 months ago now. When user doesn't agree with the system, I try to explain to him why something had to be done, or what is the reason behind some thing. I'm not the one who decides how things should be done, I only decide whether user is guilty of entering giveaway while not being authorized, or not. Everything else is up to KnSYS banning system.

I don't know anything about that, nor is it any of my business. That whole situation is unfortunate for you, certainly, but I'm only speaking concerning sgtools here. :X reworded that so my meaning was a bit more clear
I am sure I will get a lot of hate from people who don't agree with me concerning this issue. I've probably been blacklisted a dozen times in the last 30 minutes from this thread alone. Part of life, I suppose. ;)

Please keep in mind:Sgtools was developed to facilitate the work for ga creators (with the filter options you can appeal to a specific user group.Profit=less work for ga creator and sg support)
Since SG tools is becoming more popular it simply makes no sense to manipulate the current system for any personal reason.
...and NO:I'll certainly not blacklist you just because you have a different opinion on this topic :-)

I know you're a bigger person than that, Drago -- but not everyone else is. :P
Like I said, I fully supported the use of sgtools previously (I only used it once -- I'm too lazy to use it all the time). If it made things easier for creators, then power to them. I thought it was awesome the freedom it gives creators.
It's the first offense perma-bans I have a problem with. That's all. Everyone makes mistakes, and more than a few really good contributors on this site have made mistakes in the past that would have earned them a perma-ban if they hadn't been given a second chance .... you'd be surprised at a few of them. You probably even have a few white-listed (not 100% sure, but I'd bet on it lol).
I'm one of those hardcore "follow the rules or else" people, and even I concede that some form of leniency for first offenses should be made. People make mistakes.

If the giveaway linked by someone was not made by the person who linked it, you have nobody to blame but yourself if you enter.
If the person sharing the direct link is indeed the same one, you could tell knsys where it was posted, which should be easy if it's public and not yet deleted. It wouldn't be 100% foolproof, but it would help if there were multiple people who fell for it and had the same story, especially if they are not in each other's contacts.

Just for interest - for what I was banned?
Never tried to cheat system, but I entered some private giveaways with public links posted on SG forum or another forums. I had no idea is it was protected giveaways or not (there are was no warning comments inside giveaways when I entered )

if you entered a giveaway for "Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler-" created by a Chinese user, then it was like very obvious that you should have not enter. And even less if it was leaked on some site where trolls post links and give troubles to everyone else. Everyone there commented in Chinese, ignoring that fact and entering the giveaway is very stupid imo, because seeing everyone being Chinese even tells you that you are not welcome there.

Maybe I did not pay attention. There are was direct link somewhere - and voila, "Enter giveaway" was clicked ))
And I am member of at least one public Chinese giveaway group. Google translate helps understand descriptions if they present. (always read descriptions)

Simply use Steamgifts/forum as only valid source before you enter any private/invite giveaway !

...and ? You always click here and there and wondering later about the result ?

Since I came to SteamGift two years ago.
Many typical description - "Giveaway only for those who solve the puzzle", "It's no ok if you have some games from pack", "This is region restricted giveaway" (before it was implemented on SG site directly), "Please enter only if you will play this game", "Please enter only if you have game in wishlist", "Say thanks or you will be blacklisted", "Don't say anything or you will be blacklisted" etc etc etc.
But no description means "Everyone who can see link can enter"

Leaking GA links is forbidden by the rules of this site. By entering a GA to which you got the link from anyone else than the GA creator you are actively trying to benefit from someone breaking the rules. Wherever there was malicious intent from your side involved or not.
If you come across someone, who tells you that he stole a product from a store nearby and offers you said product at a much lower price (or maybe even for free), should you take the offer, just because there was no note on door of the shop saying, that you should not support such behaviour under any circumstances, or report this to the store?

sgtools is working as expected: stopping cheaters, and also catching unaware people.
if you are trully innocent, i'm sorry you have to pay for a misunderstanding or an honest error.
one more thread to add drama on sg. the forums are turning into such a nice place.

I was too tired to read full forum board that time. Just Ctrl+F in browser - "steamgifts.com/" - search.
And then entered to giveaways with direct links.
Really sorry. Have no evil intent...
If someone posted leaked giveaway - it's not good. But it bad if everyone who entered was banned...

Just a note: KnSYS decides upon ban length, I issue only a decision whether user is guilty or not, which is perfectly fine by me. This way he can implement whatever algorithm he wants for bans - for now it's perma.
Of course, bans are instant, because KnSYS doesn't manually assign suspensions, his system does.

I was thinking today about this possibility: giveaway creator makes SG tools protected train of giveaways inside of his first giveaway link for forum users, but suddenly drops a direct link to another giveaway from the train somewhere in his thread to enter it. Can I get banned for entering a direct link?
Comment has been collapsed.
yes unfortunately you will probably be perma banned , also literally anyone can post a different forum anonymously doesn't even have to be the GA creator

Link, posted by anyone who isn't giveaway creator = leaked link :-)

He would need to report that giveaway, that's point 1. If that guy has at least half of his brain working, then he wouldn't report that giveaway because he knows that he did a mistake.
Also you'd be able to gather enough falsely banned people to convince me that the creator did a mistake, which would result in unbanning all affected people, and taking appropriate actions against creator who tried to abuse the system.

Ok, then I'll need any proofs in a future to prevent this

Well, if you really have "friends" that try to make you banned from SGT in such drastic ways, then perhaps they're not your "friends".
I can't believe that somebody would make a giveaway just to give the link to somebody else to ban him, besides, steam now has chat history, so even in this case you'd be able to show the proof.

No, I don't mean SG giveaway creators would wittingly want to ban others, they just can drop different links in their SG forum threads (I've already seen these cases).
