What do you like the most?
I think you should be fine with the story, as long as you don't say anything too overly insulting (just be careful that you don't hurt people's feelings on accident). Also, if anyone gets mad you should just point them to this thread and have them read that you meant no ill will.
So ... my name has a rather long story. I started out as Mushu299 (my favorite movie was Mulan at the time) and I used it for everything. The main thing I used it for was Runescape. So ... of course me being me and being awesome, I very much destroyed a higher ranking guy on one of the PvP servers and therefore he lost everything he had (and was very mad at me). So he hacked my account to get his stuff back and he also stole all of my stuff (but I was too young at the time to realize that I could have reported him for it). Thus, Mushclone299 was born (as I was the clone of Mushu299) and I somehow managed to find this guy again and I confronted him ... so then he hacked that account as well ... and my e-mail ... which sucked, cause he also got into my Facebook. So, after that, I didn't really know what to name myself, Mushu### was kind've dead to me and Mushclone300 didn't sound right, so I just went one number lower from Mushclone299. So ... now I am Mushclone298. And I haven't played Runescape since.
Also, for some extra backstory (this one I made up to describe who Muchclone298 is) is that I am a clone in a special forces regiment of the Clone Army. I was the best assassin they had, went rogue after discovering the Empire's intentions, and I now work for the Rebel's to help them win the war against the Empire. I also have a personal vendetta to destroy all 300 members of my old special forces regiment.
Lastly, I already uploaded a pic to eeev's thread.
So ... that's that. Hopefully I didn't write this for nothing, but I probably did as I don't think I'm quite popular enough yet. xD

This text wall is really too big :( I looked through this but didn't find anything I have deeper spiritual knowledge of. You aked if someone can get offended because of intentional misspeling his name or making up stories about it's origin than it depends on person. Most of the active on forum ppl won't have any problems, but I saw some rednecks that blacklist 3k ppl per day for nothing, so it all depends on person (better do some background check). I hope I got it right ^^

It's always possible to offend people with satire/parody...even if you think it's perfectly innocuous. Cultural differences, age differences, trigger issues-- all of these things can make something that you (and most people) think is funny turn out to be offensive or upsetting. Avoid the obvious things if possible (race, country of origin, appearance if known). Good luck!

Yep, i'll definitely avoid (as mentioned to another user) stereotypes. Would only even conceive using any stereotype if to make a parody of the stereotype itself, not the user.
I'm really not as worried anymore, considering the feedback i got, honestly. :)
If everything goes according to planned, the puzzle solver (aka main character) will find those NPCs along the path as villains / sidekicks / grey area, but it's honestly all based on what fits the plot the most. :)

Seeing as you write about NPCs, I suppose you are making a game? :3 Playable on a web browser I guess?
Anyway, from personal experience, the marvellous <3 SG community loves fun and getting involved with making fun things. So worry not. I believe you know when caricature becomes offensive mockery, that's all that matters.
You can take your time too, a "finally completed project" is great, but surprising people with extras is even better, so don't hesitate.
Now onto the I suppose game's details... What will it be? Some sort of RPG Maker game? By the way, if you need assets and have nothing to create some, I'm sure there are artists among us since I saw some, maybe you can ask for some help.
Also, since you asked and I want to confess, MaiteVaati is in fact supposed to be MaitreVaati. Vaati is the evil guy in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and as a kid, I just found his actions, transformations, battles and his musical themes simply awesome. He was a tiny, clever, simple creature with of course, you know, the usual evil desires and worked his way to being King of Hyrule in a few hours. So yeah I admired that.
But then, why MaiteVaati?... Well I simply screwed up. I felt so bad, just one tiny letter that didn't make it in. SCREW YOU r !!!
And then I read you could change your user-name, just that you'd need to wait for a year to do so... And well... 8 months left...
;_;
What's good though, is that if I do change my user-name back to MaitreVaati, it'll look like everyone who once wrote it made a typo and forgot the r. [EVIL INTENSIFIES]

I'll try to check the thread you linked, with the work put into what i'm doing myself, i've been less than active on the forums as of late, only skim through them every other day (if that much even). Kinda sad, considering i myself would like to see as much participation in what i'm doing, almost feels contradictory. But juggling time has been kinda hard. I've been missing out on a bunch of birthday / cake-day celebrations of other users. :'(
As for what's being developed, it's mostly a puzzle train (trains to be more precise, for reasons that will be clearer when the time comes :)). Don't know how much you've delved into the puzzle solving section of this forum, but there have been quite a numerous bunch of original ideas. I just thought of this one, long ago, then expanded a bit on it, let's wait and see what i can finish in time.
It's not a game, per se, but i guess you could say it will be done in the attempt to emulate a bit of what would be a sort of puzzle game / point and click (except you won't have to point and click anything, just provide answers and such, to move forward).
Further details will be available in the respective thread, when the time comes, since not everyone participating will check this thread anyway.

So... thought a lot about making a thread about this or not and oh well... here it is.
First things first:
As for the rest... well, megalomania is megalomania. Crazy idea of big-ass puzzle train in the works for upcoming cake day, that's been draining most of my spare time (and you wouldn't believe me if i told you for how long). Ugh... :/
Which has led me to miss out on a lot of past cake days in the past weeks and some other awesome events people have made (sorry about that, been super busy and should be even more so till upcoming deadline).
No over-hyperino though, please, i just hope i can deliver in time, as time is pressing and closing in. Don't expect all AAA games either. I'm not made of money.
Not enough slots for full idea completion... yet. Hence small train with a few more modest bundle gibs to open up more slots.
IF (and it's a big if, trust me) i have enough time, to go along with the puzzle train, there should be a sort of SG-Parody .
Should that happen, users will be made fun of (or something like that), all in good spirit... as a hommage.
It's for a good cause... THE PLOT. :P
Now, again... should that happen, every username will still be twisted into something else... a caricature, if you will (for the obvious reasons, mostly).
That said, i would still like to point out that some of the users appearing as NPCs in aforementioned parody, i've had little to no interaction with. It's no less of a hommage on my behalf though.
No username (or its caricature, to be more precise) will be mentioned with malicious intent. Unless you're Bear. :3
If you feel you have any feud with me, trust me, your username (caricature or not) will not be on it. If it is, then it's a small token of appreciation for whichever positive contribution you've made towards the community, not the opposite.
Also, don't take it to heart if you're not in it, when push comes to shove. :'(
There's only so much time i have... and so many ideas i can come up with that suit the plot, etc. and such and such. :'(
If i do manage to get at least 80% of what i had planned actually done, you'll (hopefully) understand much better as to why it is so time consuming to include each and every user that has been included, when the time comes.
But what i wanted your feedback on... is this:

The Blacklist... don't want to delve too deep into this, but to avoid drama (not the other way around)...
Sadly mine has grown a bit more than i had ever anticipated, gonna be honest... and i take no joy in it, believe it or not. :/
But please avoid BL drama, if not for me, for the sake of others who surely don't want to sift through toxicity in this thread.
I kindly ask people to avoid BL drama amongst themselves as well... and other type of drama in this thread, for that matter.
That said...
In that regard, and in the same spirit of positivity and open mindedness, I'm willing to listen to people willing to talk to me about being in my blacklist, if they wish to do so.
But i won't do it here, sorry. You can add me on steam if you really wish to do so.
And i'll be completely upfront so i won't waste your time lying to your face. If there's no chance of you getting out of said BL, i'll tell you right off the bat, but won't contribute to any naming and shaming, so will only express my reasoning through steam chat, should you still want to hear it.
The vast majority there i really don't see a way out of it for them, but if you feel you've been dealt with unfairly, then just please proceed as i said. It's really not a big request from me, nor a big concession from you.
It's the first time i've opened that door, and i'm not expecting people to bow down or kiss the ring or whatever ill-conceived low expectation you may have of me. I'd rather not open that door at all for that. Trust me, don't, it's your call, but be respectful of the whole environment here at least.
And i won't put up with abuse either, got better things to do with my life and so should you. Talk to me respectfully and i will do the same.
