I don't doubt that this happened, that's the fog of war, it fucking sucks for everyone involved. That website seems like a horrendous source for any kind of reliable info, though, and so are the other sources that reported on this story - at least from a cursory glance. They're all pretty much 'Israel = bad, Palestine = good'. It's a little irresponsible to share this, in my opinion. It'd be like if someone who supported Israel went to Israel-did-nothing-wrong dot com and cherrypicked articles from there to spread their beliefs.

Here's another source, I'm not familiar with either of these sources, so I'm not going to argue whether it's any good, but it looks like they took an actual snippet from an Israeli state radio interview with this lady.
Looking at Reddit posts, some users seem to suggest the actual source was taken down. Which I totally understand if it actually occured as told, because Israel can't really afford any more negative press like this.
With that said, the way the witness recounts it sounds like the civilians were caught in a crossfire, not deliberately targeted. I'm not sure what that would mean consequences wise.

I'm just pointing out that IDF shooting their own people is not new and could even be justified in their mindsets. The exchange rate of israeli hostages versus palestinian prisoners doesn't favor Israel. They will even trade for dead bodies or parts of a body. Jewish tradition establishes that the human body is considered sacred and holy, the body must be returned to earth in its entirety.
From a practical point of view, an israeli hostage is worse for Israel than a dead citizen/soldier. And I'm sure that if you'd ask jews if they would rather be shot, their body recovered and buried according to Jewish tradition or to risk to be taken as hostage tortured, killed and their bodies desecrated (or never recovered), most of them might prefer the former.

I did see some videos of parents who lost their children during the kibbutz attacks saying that they were, and I'm going to paraphrase this part cause I can't remember the exact words used, grateful that they died instead of taken hostage. I was kinda shooketh hearing that, as from where I'm from, any parent would grasp on to any hope of their child surviving somehow. But with what you said, it sort of makes sense now.

Where are you from where a parent wouldn't rather their child die a quick death than to face unknown horrors at the mercy of someone who has proven themselves capable of rape, murder, and the parading of corpses through cheering crowds? Hamas won the Palestinian Authorityโs parliamentary elections in 2006, deposing longtime majority party Fatah. This gave Hamas, a political and armed movement inspired by the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood, control of the Gaza Strip.
This is incorrect.
The Palestinians are rules by the Palestinian Authority (PA), in which Hamas was indeed the largest part (44.45%) after the 2006 elections.
This however did not give them control of Gaza.
That would be like Republicans winning majority in the Senate - and that would give them the right to create the Confederacy.
This only gave them power in PA's legislative body.
Instead Hamas took over Gaza in a violent que de tat, in June 2007 - when many members of the PA security forces were killed, and many others arrested/kidnapped or expelled from the Gaza strip.
While Hamas terrorists took over their weapons and equipment.

By some estimates they have a stockpile of as many as 200,000 rockets, mortars and shells.
In addition Hamas has Air Force units of paragliders, which were used to infiltrate to the Nova festival on October 7th, and managed to kill over 260 party goers, and kidnap many more.
In addition Hamas has Navy units, which include divers and marine commandoes that we know of, and may be other units we don't know of yet.
In addition, on October 7th Hamas used armed drones, which I'm not sure if to count as Air Force or part of infantry.
In addition to many many Hamas foot soldiers, which have mortars, RPGs, heave guns, machine guns, etc. etc.
And I'm not a military expert, but I'm sure there are other types of Hamas weapons, machinery and equipment I'm not aware of.
And that's only Hamas.

I've not been to the "Ukraine Awareness Thread", but if other platforms tell me anything, it's that a lot of people support Ukraine af it its state was completely clean and good and wholesome, while just casually dehumanizing 20-year-old Russian conscripts sent to die in foreign land in the comments of a gruesome video in which the kid agonizes after having a grenade dropped on his head by a drone.

What original land? Jews have no original land, the territory they currently claim is the one they've historically treated as theirs and from which they were forced out centuries ago, then they were forced out if not outright genocided out of every other single place they went to. I reiterate what I've said previously, too: Jews in Palestine were the subject of targeted massacres by Arabs between the 1920s and 1940s, as the Arabs were trying to force them out of their land. After the state of Israel was declared, there were multiple attempts from Arab nations to expel them out of the land they claimed, and all of them failed and, ironically, gave way for Israel to seek expansion as a protective measure.
Now, the rights of Palestinian Muslims are as important as those of Israeli Jews, however, the fact that the Israeli government has used force to hold control over the land doesn't justify Hamas using force, specifically on civilians, to take back said land. There's a huge difference between supporting Palestine or Hamas, and supporting the Palestinian people, just as there's a difference between supporting the Israeli state and supporting the Israeli people. The issue at hand, however, is rather simple: Hamas are an openly antisemitic group which, so far, has carried out multiple massacres on civilians. If they were in a position of power in which they can dictate what happens to Jewish people, I'm pretty sure you can guess what the result to that would be.
Also, what rights are Israeli people supposed to demand from their government in this context? If they want the right to be protected, then they can only be protected within Israeli land, and in order to be protected, the Israeli government needs to use law enforcement and a military. If Israelis ended up in Hamas-controlled territory, they have no rights they can demand to the Israeli government because any intervention by them would be considered, at worst, an act of war, so I'm confused as to what you meant exactly by that.

It has actually been a big discussion here in The Netherlands about the way he reacted.
There are so many biased opinions here about how the people in the west think about this situation. Some people should actually look at one of the reaction platforms like on nu.nl. Those biased opinions couldn't be more wrong.

A rocket falls on a hospital in Gaza, during a barrage of dozens of rockets being fired from Gaza towards Israel.
Rockets that are known to be "home made" with a high percentage of misfires.
Within minutes Hamas health ministry comes out with a statement that it was definitely an Israeli rocket (despite no other Israeli rockets falling anywhere near there) and they already know that 500 people were killed (within minutes, mind you). Without providing any source or proof of their claims (obviously).
And everyone just takes it at face value...

If you check civilian videos from surrounding buildings, you can see how it happened suddenly after they heard jets zooming around in the sky, which aligns with every other Israeli airstrike on Gaza I've seen lately.
Besides, this isn't the first time for Israel, all they have been doing as of late is tell people to evacuate to a place then they go ahead and bomb that place later under the ridiculous excuse of Hamas possibly being there.

The video looks edited and also there are two impacts on the ground one is smaller and the other is bigger. The smaller at a long distance behind the hospital can be rocket impact but the area of impact of the bigger one is 10X more than rocket. The video is edited or the IDF hit the hospital at same time for a coverup.

Israeli settlements are Jewish communities built illegally on Palestinian land. Today there are between 600,000 and 750,000 Israeli settlers living in at least 250 illegal settlements (130 official, 120 unofficial) in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Israeli settlements are illegal under international law as they violate the Fourth Geneva Convention, which bans an occupying power from transferring its population to the area it occupies.
The population of Israeli settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is growing at a faster rate than the population of Israel. Roughly 10 percent of Israelโs 6.8 million Jewish population lives in these occupied Palestinian territories.
Despite being outside of Israel proper, these settlers are granted Israeli citizenship and receive government subsidies that significantly lower their cost of living. In contrast, Palestinians living in the West Bank are subject to Israeli military law.

I also want to know that if i spam/insult someone i get temporary ban.
