Waaaahhhhhh! Some company, developer and charity are benefiting from selling games at a SEVERELY reduced price, sniff sniff but it's not reduced as far as I want it to be! Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh...
Seriously, people have become so damned spoiled that they expect everything for nothing. Just STFU and if you don't like it don't buy it. Plain and simple.

"i didn't buy the previous one, i won't buy this either"
Who forces you to buy it and why should I care? Don't want it? Don't buy it.
It's such a good bundle, but still, you b**** about it. BNW is a new(ish) expansion with a lot of new content, 15$ seems like a fine price to me.

Why "CIV. V: Brave New World" is not in HB:Store? I think it's its place.
The people don't understand the real business "helping" to people with charity, I have to remember you that the manager of HB is very rich in the Forbes List. Soon it will be cheapest buying in Steam than in the HB.

While John Graham probably have a few pennies in his bank account he did not make it into any Forbes list for being rich. He made his way to a list that lists " he brightest stars in 15 different fields under the age of 30. This is the time to be young and ambitious."
The total revenue of HB is still less than the developing and marking costs of Skyrim! So while the company have a few pennies in their piggy bank they are not (in terms of other major player in the industry) a superbig company.

Does Your research include all the online websites that sell games?
Comment has been collapsed.
My bet is s/he got the information from isthereanydeal. They don't list every single websites that sell games, but most of the bigger ones (globally)
The highest %-discount so far (on this product, but not currently on sale for that price) is around 75%. A price of $5 would be a 83 % discount. Discounts of +80 % is not generally that common.

Even at the $15 'max' price, you're still paying incredibly less for all the games than just a single item through other services.
Also what people are you around that asking a bit more money for more items gets them labeled a bitch when its just common sense and courtesy?

Personally I only saw value in the $1 min, not owning anything in it previously, but I already had Civ V from the free GMG deal and don't want to spend a lot of money on this bundle, since sims aren't usually my thing. Plus the average was shooting up anyway, no way I'm beating $7+ on it. It may be a good business tactic to put a high priced item to raise the average, but imo it's a very dirty thing to do. Edit: And what's a good business idea isn't always a good idea for the customers. (And without customers you don't have a business).

The 15$ dollar tier is for the latest DLC that is not even 6 months old i think... and that DLC is 30 EURO... so even if you buy it just for that DLC you get around 60% OFF. So stop being butt hurt about it. What's next ? "WHY DOESNT HUMBLE BUNDLE GIVE US ALL AAA NEW TITLES FOR 1$ ?" ...
Comment has been collapsed.
first, your math is way off, if you buy it for the brave new world it is exactly 50% off(you should repeat first grade), and that would be even worse deal than what we are dicussing, this is a BUNDLE, so it should beat all store prices ever, period.

He says "15 dollars" and "30 euros" which is more than 30bucks, so it could be 60%.
About the rest, I don't like to take sides..

Well. If you see this as a bundle (and not only a 15 tier for a dlc that some feel is overpriced), then this bundle is a steal at 15 dollars! According to isthereanydeals the cheapest the content in this package has ever been is: $58.79 (us region) And considering that the "gold edition" upgrade will soon be discontinued it might stand as the lowest price for some time, unless there will be a "stock clearing sale" on that soon.
Also just out of curiosity, why should a bundle beat all store prices ever?
And just holding on to that thought for a while. Let's say that there is a bundle of 5 games. 2 Games for PWYW and 3 games "BTA"
Currently (if you look for the best deals on each title) the price for those imaginary games is 25 dollars. But all the games have been on a sale for 1 dollar each a few months back to celebrate a special occasion . The bundle starts at $0.00 but soon the price to BTA is at 7, due to a recent change in popularity for one (or more) of the titles. Should that be considered a bad deal/bundle? I mean the games could have been bought cheaper at some earlier point (and might or might not end up cheaper sometime down the line) or should that still be seen as a good deal since the current lowest price is 25 dollars and no other sale is known to take place in any foreseeable future?

And you should learn that Euro is higher than dollar ... HB is in Dollar Steam for me is in Euro. You should repeat first grade and learn to read and think before you type. And since when is 50% or 60% off of a game a bad deal ? Holy shit people have become so greedy... if something isnt 75% off it's not worth it and it's shit.

And that is a good deal if you own the base game and Gods and Kings and are not interested in the below average tier and potential bonus games.
If you dont own the base game and the Gods and King dlc and want a good price on a those games and bunch of other civ games (and other SM-games), then I would throw another 5 dollars and grab this bundle in a heartbeat.

Yes, that is correct, if the buyer has or don't want Gods and Kings (well I do think it still a good deal if you compare to normal retail price)
The chepeast G&K has been (according to isthereanydeals) is 7,49 (give or take a few dollars for misinformation). The Gold upgrade was at the cheapest around 5. But since that upgrade is getting discontinued and replaced with a more expensive one a better deal might pop up in the near future - unless there will be a "stock clearance sale"
So 1+9,99+5 (I'm going with the lowest gold edition upgrade price, even though it's getting discontinued and I'm here expecting the potential buyer to have the Civ V base game) = 15,99. That's more than the what it costs on HB. Both deals would however be seen as good.

Exercise your choice as a consumer and either buy it or don't buy it. Pretty simple IMHO.
If anyone is deserving of the description "bitch", it's someone who senselessly carps about what is a fine deal at any of the price points.
Additionally, I'd like to take this opportunity to encourage you to play nocturnal tiddlywinks on the busiest highway you can find...

it is questionable if games will be added next week since it usually says that more games will be added and it isnt mentioned anywhere this time. but if they do, it will be something with sid meier in fron, or maybe civ 5 dls, althou doubtfull...
edit:actually, there are no more steam games with sid meier in front of the name than there are in this bundle

I'm fairly sure there will be bonus added next week. They don't always announce that there will bonuses (before they go live) That's a bit confusing (since sometimes the site says "receive bonus" and sometimes not). But just a few examples of bundles were bonuses were added without any official statement:
The Origin bundle did not mention anything about any bonuses (the information about bonuses leaked through steamdb, but then again that information turned out to be partly wrong)
The last bundle (audiobook) did not mention any bonuses. It still got bonuses.
And there's at least one more Sid Meier game on steam: Pirates!
and a few games on other platforms (and drm-fee) even though most of them are unlikely to be added to this bundle.

Three price tiers may not be that common, but it has been done by other sites before. I bought some Indie Gala bundles at what I called BTA2, which was the third (and highest priced) tier. The good thing this time is that everyone has the option of buying the third tier, unlike when Starbound was offered in very limited quantities. The bad thing is that it is driving the BTA price up higher than usual ($8.75 as I write this). So I don't know, I guess I have mixed feelings about it. On this specific bundle, I haven't bought it and may not since I'm not into these kinds of games, but if I do it would only be for $1, so the BTA etc. isn't affecting me. But in general for a three-tier bundle (without limits like Starbound), I guess you have to buy ASAP if you want a lower BTA.

Uhm. GOG doesn't sell any Civ games..
If you meant GMG, then the $10 is over (at least for now)
Also why should one not compare prices with the suggested retail price? That's pretty much what all bargain hunters does. If not it would be quite hard to see that the 10 dollar deal GMG had on BNW was a rather good one.

There ain't a proper or not proper way to raise BTA. Still, the BTA and even the 15$ tag for all those fantastic games is a real bargain. You should be grateful that these promotions exists, and not take them for granted, or b***h about how the BTA is raised. Jesus.
Also, if you're concerned about people not understanding what it is that you're attempting to ask, try organizing your sentences into a more logical flow of ideas, and also using commas and full stops in the process.

last time they had starbound to raise BTA and now this $15 for expansion thing.. it really isn't cool and i didn't buy the previous one, i won't buy this either. What do you think is this an appropriate way to raise BTA's ?
edit1: when i posted this thread bta was around $5, if there wasnt above 15 thing it would be around $4 im not whining about the extra 1-2 dollars
edit2: i thought there was a common belief that if you want some 'extra stuff' you need to pay 'extra money' to bitches that's why i choose this title EDİT3: why does everyone misunderstood me and trying to burn my ass? anyway agree or disagree i just asked your opinions i simply don't care. and for those guys who didn't understand what i was trying to ask; Is this really a proper way to raise BTA?
