Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Warhammer 40.000 Dawn of War (but only the first one with expansion). Basically, everything with base building and resource gathering - the two most important things that new RTS games lacks these days.

Just Cause 2.
Oh. Wait. Strategy, JC2 requires almost none.
In that case, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, Age of Empires (1, Rise of Rome, 2/Age of Kings, Conquerors) and lastly, Company of Heroes. Also Empire Earth was a good blend of ages, start prehistoric, progress through time to end in a laser era.
I don't know where my C&C:RA2 and AoE discs are now :( I miss those masterpieces...

Girls...oh you said "easy to play and not boring to understand " ... well, i don't like strategy games.

Before I lost the discs, another guilty pleasure was the Railroad Tycoon series.
I'd buy RRT 2 and 3 on Steam in a flash, but sadly both of these games are considered politically subversive, and are therefore not available for purchase in the New Zealand Steam store...

Well I can buy them for you if you do want them. Just drop me a message through steam. :)

Thanks - that's very kind of you, but I don't want to risk my safety, and that of my family by importing this forbidden and ideologically dangerous material...
Perhaps I could hit you up in a few weeks if the offer still stands though? By then I should have been able to obtain false documents make travel arrangements for my family to make good their escape...

Yeah I'll be around, so when you arrange everything to scape the country I can get you the games and a safe house.
BTW: I can't really think why on earth are those games considered politically subversive. Come on they are just fucking trains.

I'm not sure. Perhaps it is something to do with the politically dangerous suggestion that it might be possible to establish a rail service which works to some sort of vague timetable?
Well, for whatever reason, these aren't in the NZ Steam store, and I shouldn't speak of these things any more than I absolutely have to. You never know who is monitoring this...
Thank you for your offer of help, comrade. Maybe if all goes to plan, we will meet again...

'a rail service which works to some sort of vague timetable'.
Heaven forbid! Not in MY new Zealand!

If you want a train tycoon try Open TTD. Its a free transport simulator with many kinds of train (and other vehicles).
It's pretty easy but can entertain for a couple of hours, especially with a mate on multiplayer.

Life, it's hard and you sometimes wanna give up, but it definitely pays off if you succeed in it ;)
OT: My favourite rts game is Earth 2150, though there are lots of other good rts games for me, like Dawn of War 1 and Homeworld 2 :)
