I can't list just one game here. Age of Empires 1 (original), Command and Conquer (original, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, and Warcraft 3.

My favorite 5: Civilization 4, the original X-com: UFO Defense, Endless Space, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, and Company of Heroes. Unfortunately, I only own 3 of those games, so I haven't got to finish two of them.

Men of War: Assault Squad

It's a tie between Dawn of War - Dark Crusade and Sins of a Solar Empire.

Warcraft III, Company of Heroes, and the Total War games are all close seconds.

Empire: Total War

At the moment Napoleon Total War. Ever, probably AOE 2.

Final Fantasy Tactics would have to be my favourite. Outside of MMOs, that's probably the game I've logged the most time on. The PSP version's nerf to Teleport made me sad & I miss the Engrish gaffes, but I'm still happy to own both.

As far as more traditional strategy games, Homeworld (all 3 games) tops the list with Age of Empires I + Rise of Rome coming in second (never got into II much for some reason).

Anybody know much about Battle Realms? Totalbiscuit's vid made it look pretty damned awesome.

Age of Empire 2

Civilization V, because that's about the only strategy game I've played except Age of Empires when I was little.

Company Of heroes is my favorite strategy, aldough World in Conflict had the most epic ending to a strategy game that i have ever seen.

favorite on steam is Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, I like the lightweight/jump right into the action sorts the best. For that reason I really need to get around to trying Hero Academy.
