Hey everyone. I was being curious about the internet connection around the world.

What technology do people use in countries, what speed and how much they are paying for that.

I'll start with myself - 24/2Mbps VDSL for about 13€/14$ in Czech Republic. I activated this when it was "on sale", full price for this is like 18.5€/20.5$

~7Mbps down, 0.5Mbps up for 50$ Canadian. Unfortunately my building doesn't let us have fibre optic installed. Anywhere else in my neighborhood I'd be paying the same thing for 100 down 50 up.

100/10 VDSL for 19,90 euros, Finland. Includes some extra TV channels (some hd too) + you can record programs to cloud and watch them later. I don't watch much TV but my wife is happy. And no download limits thank Grumpy Cat (I don't believe in G) ^^

100/10 cable line at home for about 45USD/month and I'm ecstatic with that speed/price. For an extra 10USD I can go to 200/20 and another 10USD after that can do 300/30.

125/25 and I believe I pay somewhere around $40-45/month for it. I'm grandfathered in -- new customers get 250GB/month limit, but mine is unlimited.
It comes as part of a package - phone, internet, and hi-def television, so I can't be sure (the package price is still incredibly high, though)

$80 a month, and they recently raised the price by $10 because apparently, after sending in a complaint, I have to understand that inflation affects the already overpriced fee of my internet. Dicks.

To all of you who want to move to Canada? Suuuuuure you do. :3

7Mbps/512Kbps unlimited here, before March it was 4Mbps/512Kbps, for about 24€/month. Oh, and it's a wireless connection (no satellite), I have the antenna on the roof.
In Italy, if you live in a city or near a commercial/industrial area, you have access to fast, cabled internet. As you exit these zones, internet connection just sucks and/or costs are prohibitive.
