I think it was having a nice deal on Steam so probably some people got it or it was in bundle in the past.

Was this a joke or do you know for sure? Personally I wouldnt mind a few extra tiers or if they change the requirement for existing tiers. Its pretty easy to get ARP now than before.

With discount artifacts the prices moderate somewhat and it takes almost no effort on my part to accumulate ARP, so picking up the odd game here and there is kinda a bonus. And while you're right about the Dell points for North America, outside NA (like Australia) the scheme leaves much to be desired in its utility.

Yeah, those are not a thing here, that section of the page is just empty for me. I think they have a pretty short list of countries where those points are available.

I'm pretty sure it's more of an issue of there being not that many keys and a lot of users doing the exact same thing as me and camping to get there during the first few seconds, even with a bot or script there wouldn't be that much of a difference.
The thing is that usually there's some AAA game to attract all the attention so I can go for the nice looking indies, no such luck this time.

Yeah, I made the mistake of refreshing the page again because I was getting an error instead of just telling me that Hinterberg was out of keys and that was enough for Gori to run out too. It didn't help that I was doing it from my phone instead of desktop because of the time, tapping away at a screen is much slower that a finger hovering over F5 while staring at the clock as my other hand is ready to click the button the instant it loads.

I imagine there's only a few hundred keys per game and thousands of users stalking the page, so it makes sense for it to go down the way it does, I was just annoyed at not being among the fast ones this time :P

And yeah Flock does look nice, that's why it was my third option, but Hinterberg seems to be an actual contender for best indie game this year if the reviews are anything to go by, I'll have to pick it up at some point when it becomes cheap.

I think it a combination of both. Tricks and high demand, but a little protection against bots or scripts would not hurt. For example if you refresh right on time sometimes the claim button does not appear. If you refresh like a normal person you have already lost your chance because other people can just use script to make the button appear and click imstantly. Those are little things and not the big majority but it could be sorted out.
