Okay this is the f'd up thing I've seen in my life: After registering for an account, even linking my Steam account I never had problem with, and ordering this bundle, Square-Enix asked me to enter my number to get confirmation code. Okay...

Then, by an email they asked me...to provide personal and private identity document by mail (which is illegal in my country) to validate the order which I've never seen in my life.

Did that happen to anybody else? WTF?

Literally anyone should have the right to ASK you anything they want. Any country where it's illegal to ask a question isn't a place where I'd want to live. I would consider moving.

Jesus, why is this a big deal? They're just confirming your identity.
Normally a quick phone call is all it takes to satisfy most companies trying to accomplish that, sometimes they want like an ID scan or something via email.
I definitely wouldn't bother doing physical mail though, it's 2016..

Because us European are smarter by all means (although not perfect of course), hence why we have laws preventing companies using authorities reserved to the government or police.

Brilliant. You know I can't say I haven't noticed this as well. I was having a business trip in Istanbul and after a kilometer east from the Bosphorus Bridge, I noticed the significant change in my brain. I just couldn't think rational anymore. I still don't know how people from other continents can manage to function with that kind of mentality. Man, it rocks to be an European.

Smarter than American I should have precise. And this is a fact whether you want it or not: higher level of education, literacy, general culture etc...
