On Nov. 8th, it will have been one year since I bought my very first bundle! Why is this significant you ask? Well, I didn't collect steam games until I discovered Humble and things have kind of gotten out of control since then XD. I figured I might as well celebrate the day when I first descended into madness :P.

Oddly enough, I first heard about bundles thanks to a Zero Punctation video where Yahtzee mentions after the credits that his book was part of a humble book bundle. If it weren't for that video, I very much doubt I would have discovered bundles and I would have probably went back to playing WoW instead of finding a whole slew of pc games that have pasted me by. Kinda weird when you think about it.

Anyways, here is the train that I promised.

Instead of bumping, please let me know how all of you found out about bundles. Kinda curious what some of the answers will be.

Edit: Forgot to add this, but my first was the Humble Indie Bundle 13.

Found it in a game discussion forum, people post latest information of games and also deals. That's how I know those amazing bundle sales, especially for Humble Bundle, where I got my first one.

Day 67362: I am running out of food and water. Air is becoming thin. I haven't slept a wink in days. Still, I must persist in scouring the earth for end of the train. If somebody can read this, please tell my dog I love him.

I discovered the existence of bundles here. Before that I was living a quiet life with a few games. Now, now things have changed dramatically and only for a few months.:) Thank you for the train :)

Only 1 year on steam, so they were everywhere already. I knew about bundles before creating my steam account (but only about Humble Bundle). And yeah, things can get out of control with them easily, despite considering myself pretty selective. We are not the one`s ;)

Thanks for the looooong ride.

If I recall correctly I had recently upgraded my laptop after finishing my major at university and I read a Gamespot article about Humble Bundle that included the Bioshock Trilogy and XCOM games, when I saw the pricing at $15-20 and get everything I instantly bought the damn thing, I was coming from a life of consol gaming when a single old game costed me $20 so it was cheap as fck for me!

After that I blindly spent around $80-100 in the next 2-3 months on bundles and activated every single key like a n00b... needless to say those spendings were too much for me and I calmed down on the bundle frenzy, I still buy some bundles to either give away stuff to you guys or to get a game that I really want to play hoard collect. Thanks a lot for the traaaaaaain CJ!

Humble Bundle got a lot of publicity, that's how I got to know about them. I've only bought the Capcom Bundle though. Resident Evil FTW! :D

I don't remember how I discover bundles, but I open my Steam account just because of HB keys.

Same story as you, had never planned on collecting expensive Steam games. That's when Humble Bundle ruined everything xD.
