On Nov. 8th, it will have been one year since I bought my very first bundle! Why is this significant you ask? Well, I didn't collect steam games until I discovered Humble and things have kind of gotten out of control since then XD. I figured I might as well celebrate the day when I first descended into madness :P.

Oddly enough, I first heard about bundles thanks to a Zero Punctation video where Yahtzee mentions after the credits that his book was part of a humble book bundle. If it weren't for that video, I very much doubt I would have discovered bundles and I would have probably went back to playing WoW instead of finding a whole slew of pc games that have pasted me by. Kinda weird when you think about it.

Anyways, here is the train that I promised.

Instead of bumping, please let me know how all of you found out about bundles. Kinda curious what some of the answers will be.

Edit: Forgot to add this, but my first was the Humble Indie Bundle 13.

I can't remember how I found out about bundles. It might have been through the Steam Activity page or through some deals page like reddit. After so much buying and trading you lose track. Thx for train.

Bumping and well if it wasn't for playblink and the keydrop system, I would have probably missed Humble Bundle, Bundlestars, Groupees and Indie Gala. And DailyIndieGame later. And if it wasn't for the need to give links, I wouldn't be on SG :p

Thanks very much for the train. You've had an amazing first year here at SG. Congrats on your upcoming cake day.

My first bundle was Humble Deep Silver Bundle! one of the greats ones IMO.

I first heard about humble bundle on the Tested.com podcast. Very glad I did.

My first bundle was from bundlestars, around the start of this year. I can't remember how I found out about it, but I wish I hadn't! :)

I recall watching Zero Punctuation some 7 or 8 years back, and it amused me.
Bundles on the other hand, I only started buying a few about 4 years back once I started working, but even then I could only make provision for $1 bundles, with the occasional $5 for the extra games.
I can't recall how I found out about it, but soon after, whilst searching for more bundles, I stumbled upon isthereanydeal.com for even more bundle savings. :)

Awesome train BTW.

Well I have HiB3 from 2011 but didn't really start buying there until 2013 apparently when I went to check my purchases - no clue what that was about.

Thanks for the looooooooooooong ride!
