What makes a game "fast paced?"

I hear some kids saying Call of Duty and some other games are fast paced, but they don't seem all that fast to me compared to Nexuiz, Quake, and other games like Tribes

As always, most people don't even know what the term means. CoD IS fast-paced, at least when kids don't camp in corners. Obviously, is not that fast as games like Quake or UT2004, but for its background and playstyle is considered to be pretty fast and frantic than games like Battlefield, Counterstrike or Red Orchestra, where strategy counts more than reflexes and aim.

It's all black and white to you? If i said that STRATEGY COUNTS MORE THAN AIM doesn't mean that aim is absolutely not required, just that you need to know what you are doing rather that just shoot everything in your sight.
