I had a shitty Spanish teacher in freshman year whose last name was Sturgeon.

hahaha, now these are pretty mad english skills. I guess he meant "SRY IF I BOTHER [you]", because in German 'to bother' and 'sturgeon' are homonyms.

he probably typed "sorry wenn ich stör" in google translate, "stör" being the german word for sturgeon. the correct gramatical form would be "ich störe" (to bother, 1st person sing.), but it's common to omit the e in colloquial speech.
google translate does not take kindly to colloquial speech, though =P
in other news, let me decode "or gives a big chef ?"
"to give" (or rather, "it gives") and "there is" are the same word in german, and "chef" is colloquial for "boss", so his question was "or is there a big boss?" (an admin or a higher-up who could realize his vision)

if that were the case, there wouldn't really be a problem... he could google translate English to German and correct the mistakes (most of them are obvious)... if we want to have our day made he would need to translate a german site to english :))

ditto. not all of us germaneers have such a terrible engrish.

but we are talking about english, not japanese or baltic

And for native speakers, English is, of course, incredibly easy. Oddly enough, that doesn't make it so perfectly easy to become instantly fluent for non-native speakers.

Excuse me? Did I wrong you in any way? I did not say that baltic is bad, I only indicated that it's difficult to learn for non-native speakers, very much unlike English.

7:00 PM - -----: Are there many German users on SteamGifts.com?
7:00 PM - -----: HOW MANY, DO YOU KNOW THAT? ANSWER ME, YOU FOOL.
7:00 PM - -----: OK.
7:00 PM - Cult: Pardon me, good sir, I don't quite understand.
7:03 PM - -----: Are you planning on setting up a German version of SteamGifts for international users?
7:05 PM - -----: I am laughing now. My skills for website making are considerable, and I would like to offer them to you, in case such a thing is planned.
7:05 PM - -----: Are you really the admin of the site?
7:05 PM - -----: Or is there a "big chef"?
7:06 PM - -----: Pardon me, I meant to type "chief".
7:06 PM - -----: Now I am laughing, again.
7:06 PM - -----: That was just an idea. Now, since you aren't responding, I am going to segue into another topic of conversation to make this less awkward.
7:07 PM - -----: Do you play Battlefield 3?
7:07 PM - -----: Well, it's not out yet -- I mean the open beta.
7:08 PM - -----: You still aren't responding. I seem to be interrupting something. Sorry to have bothered you. I don't really know how to say this because my English is rather poor, so I am going to use Google Translate and make a fool out of myself. We shall speak to each other later, my brother. Sturgeon.
7:25 PM - Cult: wot
By the way, this is a classic and hilarious example of literal translation. If someone has to look up words or use Google Translate to string together some barely intelligible English while talking to you, he probably isn't the right man to create a localized "version" of SteamGifts.

that makes sense now, thanks for the Sturgeoning bro.

I've pretty much just been sitting here laughing my ass of over the sturgeon comment. Yes, I understand the German context, but that somehow makes it funnier. And coupled with the excessive caps...my sides XD
