I've already almost completely forgotten what this one was about, apart from the shark. And the fact that it was surprisingly Chinese. Welcome to my WL.

Well, i had to sit and think because i just realized its been years since i've sat down to watch a movie.

Latest watch would be "The seven deadly sins: grudge of edinburg part 2" which is basically an anime.

If we are talking actual movies it would take me couple of years back when I watched "Swearnet" it's a movie about the trailer park boys on a quest to start their own channel/website where they can slur as much as they want, quite funny especially if you're invested in the characters.

I've been watching the TV series "Mighty Med" recently, and wow is it funny.

The most recent movie I've seen was either Ministry of Fear (Ray Milland, Marjorie Reynolds, Dan Duryea) 1944, or Panama Hattie (Ann Sothern, Red Skelton) 1942

The Witcher series.
I watched all 3 seasons, and enjoy them.
I've never played the game, but will get the books if released locally.

Before, I watched Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
When will we have Bee-Man, I wonder?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) was so good! And technically we already have Bee-Man, someone just has to buy the rights and make a movie about him. Welcome to my WL.

as per the ending, well i was a little disappointed to find out that the movie was basically a 2h setup with no real conclusion, but at the moment i was so overwhelmed with how GOOD the scene before that was that i didn't care lol. evil miles earned a new fan that night

The remake is surprisingly good, too. I watched I to IV, plus the remake, but didn't bother with all of those direct-to-video ones. The fourth one was the last with any involvement by Clive Barker until Hellraiser (2022), so I didn't wanna miss out on that one. But yeah, the 6 others... no thanks. Welcome to my WL.

You got any Oscar predictions regarding that movie? VFX and Sound Design might both be a good shout, Cillian Murphy could also win Best Actor. Best Supporting Actor for RDJ maybe? Definitely a nom at least. The Best Director nomination is pretty safe, but wether Nolan can win or not probably depends on who else is nominated. Adapted Screenplay feels like a good one, too. I feel like it will get a lot of nominations but will win less than half of them. Well, we'll see. Welcome to my WL.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I would think this will not win the "best movie", because it was a bit too slow and could have used a few more eye-openers. However, the technical Oscars could well go to this movie. I'm with you in thinking it will get many nominations but far less wins.
Thanks for adopting me. :)
