Do you think $60 dollars for a multiplayer game is fair?

YES
NO

It depends on the content mainly. But most MP only games count on replaying same maps with same weapons just against different enemies so isnt really worth the $60.

But later on as some other people said... $60 is just the entry fee... then add $20-60 more for rest of the content.

Also you have to hope the playerbase to be big or at least stable with enough players to play with at any given time.

But all in all .. $60 is too much for MP only(unless its a MMO) .

I don't even pay that much for single-player games, and I don't care, at all, for the multiplayer part of most games. It all depends on the person buying the game and if it's worth that much to them.

Depends on the game CS: GO, Overwatch, and Team Fortress 2 were worth it.

Battlefront, Destiny, and R6: Siege not so much.

Even if EA doesn't plan to shut it down later, the answer is still NO.

Really just depends on a number of factors such as the unique mechanics of the game and personal preference which both can and usually do affect how long someone stays interested in a game. When it comes to a multiplayer game one of the most important things(for myself) to ask is "is it balanced?" in my own opinion. An unbalanced game makes a terrible experience.coughbee eff 4 cough

Well..i think NO...but for different reasons...Im from Argentina, a 3rd world country, The servers that i have MORE NEAR are from brazil, Some servers have problems with their VPN so it gives lag, thin we have 20 megas or internet max we can have here(i have 6 atm). So... We have to pay 60 dollars for a game with no story and only MP...Well..Is not worth... But. if the game at least gets 2 or 3 years old with people fulling the servers maybe it is a yes...But generally the comunity gets toxic fast...

If you think it's not worth it, it's not worth it. It's your 60 dollars, after all.

For me, its very difficul to pay ANYTHING for a MP only game, servers die eventually and i dont usually play them a lot, exception is Rocket league since some friends wanted to get it and we got a 4 pack

Totally no, mainly because most games nowadays have an expiration date. Just see Titanfall, and Evolve, not many people play them anymore

For me personally, it rather depends on the quality and/or amount of content, rather than game-mode alone.
MP-only games can have both in spades and one particular game, coming next mid-year will most likely become an example of that.

It all depends on the person that's buying it. For me ? Sure it's worth it, if I like it and I think I will play it a lot.

I've never paid over 30€ for a game at once, and it was a 50% off price error. As someone already mentioned, it depends on your own finances. If I was rich I might put the limit to a few hundreds, but right now 30 is an exceptional limit.

If you're talking about Battlefront, from what I've seen I personally set it's value at maximum 15€. Maybe 20 if I had specs that could run it at high settings. As a comparison, I paid 5€ for RO2/RS which is a great multiplayer-only game, my reference as a not-new game of this kind right now.

My experience with AAA multiplayer games is boredom after a couple of days. You're better off renting it or not wasting your money.

Depends on the game. If you are talking about Battlefront, for me it is worth it. I'm a big star wars fan though. But it runs well, the gamemodes are fun, the gameplay in general is really good etc. The only thing is that there is bit too little content in my opinion. Only the bigger maps are really fun, the others get boring quickly.

$60 is too much for any game. I've never spent that much on a game and probably will never. I think $23 is the most I ever spent. And that was pretty extravagant.

Considering how much money people spend on skins in it, I'd say it is a lot more expensive already.
