The classic boasting thread and almost the only reason why we still keep buying games during those sales, right?

Mostly bought games for giveaways here, but there were a handful of things I picked up for myself (not that I needed more in my backlog):

Death Stranding
Ori and the Blind Forest
Particle Fleet:Emergence
RB: Axolotl (for obvious reasons 😜)
Total War: Warhammer

I also bought Star Wars Squadrons over on Epic, since the sale plus their free $10-off coupon brought down to $14.

With the 10€ coupon and an already respectable discount on top of that I bought Discoy Elysium from the <redacted> store.
As well as System Crash - Underworld

All in all, I think I spent 8€ this sale.

All in all, I think I spent 8€ this sale.

But Disco Elysium is 23,99€ so even with a 10€ discount it would still be 13,99€ by itself?

I think he probably paid in Krona and calculated in € for the forum. And it seems Disco Elysium costs just about 7€ in Sweden, with the coupon.

Yeah, exactly. Seems like the some games on the Epic store is actually a bit cheaper for people from Sweden for some reason. I wonder if they've got something wonky going on behind the scenes, or if that's intended. I won't complain though :P

Seems like that's the case. It's just weird since Sweden has a much higher average income than most other European countries, yet gets cheaper prices for some reason? Good for the Swedish people I suppose :D

On the <redacted> store it's 167.40 SEK, or 16,66€.

Hm, seems like the base price is lower on the <redacted> store to begin with, it's 279 SEK, or 28€

Did you own the base game of Strange Brigade before buying the deluxe edition? Almost made that mistake, it's cheaper to buy just the season pass instead.

As usual I sold a bunch of cards and got some cheap games with that, I "spent" ARS $218 in total, which isn't that much money at all thanks to how much our currency tanked in the last couple of years.

  • Superflight
  • Poly Bridge Deluxe Edition
  • Thumper
  • I (DON'T) HATE HENTAI PUZZLES
  • Kopanito All-Stars Soccer
  • Yakuza 0
  • Headlander + Soundtrack
  • Dream + Soundtrack
  • METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES

I've got:

  • Nier Automata
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • All Bioshock games and DLC
  • FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage
  • Super Dungeon Tactics
No idea how much I spent on them, but not much, considering it's only Halo and Nier that I've spent my hard eaned money on, and the rest were bought with money I've got from selling cards.

Alrighty then. These are the goodies (or baddies if the game is horrible) I bought during the Steam Christmas sale.

  1. Night School Complete Bundle (Includes Afterparty, Afterparty OST, Oxenfree OST)

  2. Control: Ultimate Edition

  3. Assassin's Creed: Origins - Gold Edition

  4. Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle OST

  5. Observer: System Redux - Deluxe Edition (which was cheaper than the regular version!)

  6. The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut - Upgrade from Standard to Deluxe Edition ( I had won the Standard Edition here on SG, and wanted to wait until I got the Deluxe Edition before playing it).

And that's it! Not a lot of games this time around, but I think there are some gems in there. ;)

I've just finished AC Origins, after I already bought Odyssey and Valhalla. Clever planning on my behalf. ;)
I do hope that the other two games are better, because I must admit that I don't really see the drastic improvements that the series was supposed to have received.

I won't be getting Valhalla unless it ever comes onto Steam. While I do have a Ubisoft Connect account (formerly Uplay), I don't purchase anything there. I did get a free copy of Far Cry 6 due to getting a new Ryzen processor, however! ;)

Origins and the later AC games look like they would be of more interest to me than the earlier ones. I prefer open world games over the "stealth" games of the early games.

I was lucky and got the Valhalla Ultimate Edition for about 11€, when there was a price glitch on Ubi's store in Norway. ;)

Origins has some really nice elements, characters and story. But it's all spread over a too large map, with too much repetition. I actually didn't even play the elements of the expansions yet, because the main game was already big enough. To think that the other two games are even bigger ... gulp :D
