Think you can do it?

I played 3 of the games your picked (Hidden Folks, Owlboy and Superhot) and I enjoyed them all even though I feel Superhot was way too short. What were your thoughts on them?
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks!
Hidden Folks - big levels are tiresome. I know it's possible to quit and back anytime, but it's not how I play games :-D Overall, I like this approach on HOGs, but it will be better if they add more interactions in sequel.
Owlboy - the adventure part is perfect for me. I like such a setting where you play as a young person who would save the world and there is something about ancient things and prophecy. All the game mechanics are nice, bosses are tough as they should be. I heard that some complain about not having map, but it isn't a metroidvania to be honest. I almost didn't have problems with navigation. In fact... it could be 10 of 10 for me, but something prevents me from putting this score, but I can't find anything really worth mentioning. This one got a review
Superhot - I expected more challenging thing and it was ended when I got used to it, haha. However, I don't think it's short. It contains a lot of challenges (like katana-only playthrough) to prolong the playing. Generally, I like to accept such a challenge, but this time I skipped for some reason. I mean, not because I was in a hurry to beat 6 games, but I just wasn't interested enough. But the game is good. I suppose I'll back to it one day in the right mood.

I feel like SUPERHOT is waaayy too short.
Played the VR version lately and while it's really fun, I was done in 1h, I played a bit of a few of the challenges but got bored because they're pretty much the same....I mean it's an amazing game but I would never pay 23€ for a game that short.

What is considered a finished game? 100% Completion? 100% Achievements? Reaching credits? I am not gonna participate, I just wanted to know what is your version of beat a game.
Knowing that there are monthly events is a good way to spark interest in some not so popular games, which is a nice idea.
Anyway, tnx for giving away games and good luck.

I'm probably not going to make it with the games I chose here, also because I have somewhat little time lately but here are the games:
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Kentucky Route Zero
I am Bread game does not start for me and with OpenGL the text is unreadable, so I'm going to choose something else soon
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
Little Nightmares
Let's see how far I get ^^

So here's my six.
It was... okay. My friends really like this game so my expectations might have been amplified by that, but although I really liked the wh40k fluff and lore, the core game was really easy and not challenging at all. That's tad disappointing in turn based strategy game. Okay, I prolaby shouldn't have played it on normal difficulty, but how was I supposed to know that tutorial mission would be the hardest one? :D All in all I'd recommend Mechanicus to the Wh40K fans, but certainly not for full price.
Another underwhelming game. I know that many people love that dark gothic vibe with religious themes. I'm not that fond of it, but I don't hate it either. As for the game itself - again, it's too easy. You can't call Blasphemous the 2D Dark Souls, as you really don't need to read your enemies almost at all (okay, maybe a bit in the first few hours). In comparison to other metroidvanias it comes out bland - controls are quite clunky, and I really hate instant death spikes and the necessity to choose only three relics at a time (so you have to swap them non stop). I had much better time with Hollow Knight (obviously), Dead Cells, Odallus and many more. It's not a bad game though, if you like the setting then you'll probably enjoy it much better than I did.
*There's a caveat - I started playing both Mechanicus and Blasphemous on March 3rd. I'm asking for a bit of leeway here, as I didn't want to leave them for a month after I learned of your challenge. I put more than 50 hours in both of them combined and clearly most of it after march 6th.
Nice little game. I loved the artstyle. In these times it can really lift your spirits, so pretty much everyone should try it.
Great idea. You have just a minute for each playthrough and you have to make the most of it to make it count. I'll probably come back to it to gather more achievements and explore the rest of the game world as it was interesting.
Oh, that was a pleasant suprise. I'm old enough to remember playing Turok on my first PC back in ~1999. At first I was furious with awful controls (at first you feel like you're swimming rather than running), hard jumping segments and constantly respawning enemies with hit-scan weapons. But after a while I got used to it and all in all it was an enjoyable trip back to the 90s. I still wouldn't call Turok one of the best classic shooters and certainly it's not a must play nowadays, but if you are fond of the genre then by all means try it.
Wow, I loved it. Adventure point and click games are my soft spot and I'm really happy that so many really great ones were released in last 4-5 years. Paradigm would probably make my top 5 list, as it is truly funny and surreal game. Music's great too (really phat beatsies!).

I remember playing Turok as a kid but when I tried again not too long ago, I nearly got sick from the camera movement :/. Glad to hear that Paradigm is good; moving it up the backlog :D.

Thanks!
Yeah, Turok is basically a port from Nintendo 64 and it clearly shows in those controls ;) I guess that's also why it is at all remembered today - many people had N64s in the 90s and it was (if im not mistaken) the only major first person shooter on that platform. Turok 2 was a bit better IIRC, well it certainly had less jumping.
As for Paradigm - sure, you should try it. After the first hour you should know if you like it or not. Jokes are sometimes crude, but many more are clever, so to me it was much better than, say, Deponia.

I chose to replace one game, "Emily is away too", by another one, "Last Day of June" for some reasons. I hope it'll be ok, thanks. )
That is perfectly fine. There was no need to pick 6 game beforehand and just wanted to see 6 games beaten in the end. These things happen.

Yay, guess I'm done here too :) Thank you for the event, is was interesting experience.

How is State of Mind? I remember it having mixed reviews at first, which is unfortunate since I was looking forward to it.

The ending is a bit meh, but overall it's a very interesting game.
You just have to know it's like 90% story and 10% gameplay. Most of the time you will just listen to people talk without doing much or walk around in that one round the 6th time.
I can easily see how people don't like it, but I would say it's still a good game.

I quite like the artstyle. It reminds me of promo arts for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Thoughts on Sleeping Dogs? I played it ages ago and really liked it. I hope SE decides to give it another go and with the current trend of remake/remaster/reboots, the odds look good :D.

The main story is awesome, but that is mostly because I really enjoyed that kind of chinese cinema xD. The gameplay is fun, but sometimes it feels repetitive, the same with side missions (I did a lot of them at the beginning, but then it got tiresome). At some point it gets a little boring when they give you some missions about traveling almost 1 km, just to deliver something or talk with someone, and then come back. If you like that kind of GTA gameplay (just causing chaos around), it is okay, but I was interested on all the chinese triads stuff.
The climax quest is outstanding (with pretty awesome cinematics too).
Overall, a very good game, just not a wonderful one.
The dlc are just to show something new in this edition... nothing interesting there.

Desert child is decent game. A bit repetitive, but since it's short, that's not a deal breaker. Achievements are quite easy too.
Shiness, on the other hand, I cannot recommend. Even though it's well-written and the art is pretty, the combat is so awful that it taints the whole game. A simple turn-based, jrpg style combat would have been fine.

I've tried my best, and hopefully this will keep me on the right track to go finish more stuff.

At first it seemed to be an INSIDE wannabe, but it's more like Abe's Oddysee with clunky controls, somewhat nice ideas for puzzles, but awful implementation. And whole aesthetic is 1989 Czechoslovakia with on-the-nose political message.
Overall: not recommended.

It’s really good if you're looking for a casual experience and like match 3 games. Brings some nice new mechanics to the table and looks beautiful. The combat is very basic and really just there to gather ingredients. Only thing I didn’t like was an additional chapter where you play another character… didn’t quite fit in. Overall I really enjoyed it. Felt surprisingly good to cook up a good meal ^^

Yes I know it is called Humble Choice now but it is a shitty name so I'll ignore it.
Hello hello and welcome all to the madness.
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: GreedFall
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.
FAQ:
Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for nearly five years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on April 3rd when the next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time. It may be hard to believe, but I don't live here. I live at my real life job since it seems like I never leave that place :/.
Good luck and have fun.
Thanks for reading, here's a cookie.

If you are wondering why you don't see a private giveaway running on my profile, my purchase was flagged for manual review on Gamersgate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'll make one the moment they realize I'm not evil. All good now :D.List of eligible games: https://barter.vg/bundles/3/3/
