Minecraft. Felt so good when I eventually got it.

i tried to buy all the game i used to pirate (except some which is unavailable anywhere)and now i buy the game with my hard earned money.maybe i can't buy every new game but at least i tried my best no to pirate stuff anymore (saving money for sales,buying physical dvd and purchase mp3 at a local music store)

The first one that comes to my mind is Borderlands, but I've done that several times.

When I got in the hospitale last summer because of trauma, my friend brought me a pirate copy of Witcher 2. This game was so good, I felt bad, for pirating it. So, I bought it, and the first one.

I've pirated most games on my steam account before buying them. So yah.

Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Portal, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Might and Magic: Heroes 6. I my country video games are very expensiv for our standrats so i torrent them first. if i like them i buy it. After all we must support the developers.

I wouldn't like to lose my account. I haven't pirated anything in almost 2 years and if Steam is generous I never will again. I have bought a part of the games that I've pirated, but of course not all.

Nearly every game i bought i "tried" first.

There used to be a time where you could blindly buy a game and enjoy it, nowadays most games are rushed, buggy or plain trash copy of a trash copy of a trash copy... unless the devs offer a PROPER demo, there is no other way to prevent such games imho.

I support companies who deserve to be supported.

American McGee's Alice, came out for pc in 2000. one of the best games I've played

I liked FreeCiv, and Battle for Wesnoth. (Still considering Mass Effect 2)
