Pirated games that you played/enjoyed & eventually bought them...

Portal, HL2, Saints Row The Third, (some) The Sims 3, Mirror's Edge, GTA4, GTA:SA

Portal 2, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Saints Row 2, Saint's row the third, Garrys mod, Half Life 2 and rest of trilogy, Battlefield 3, Crysis 1 and 2.

Note: Most of the games wont be on my steam profile because they are on XBOX/PS3 or were not eligible on Steam.

I don't think we can get done for this. because we've brought the games after pirating them. Therefore putting us on the clear? (Question)

I played some pirated games which were later added in a magazine (ex. last 3 Tomb Raiders), some I won from contests (not here though... Darksiders), but mostly I'm buying new games. :P

I bought Sam & Max Complete on summer sale, though.

all games ever played was free 2 play or pirated and my steam toooo pirate power btw idc your opinion ;)

Worms (series), Red Dead Redemption, Half Life (the first series not the hl2 or any other episodes), L.A. Noire, lots of indie games like Terraria etc.

Lets see....ARMA 2 / OA....and I guess thats it. I only buy the games I pirate if they have a solid multiplayer.

Arma 2, Max Payne series, Bastion, Alpha Protocol, Alice Madness, Fallout series (1,2 and BOS), and several more. Actually since i started to actually use Steam (with my first purchase being Terraria if i'm not mistaken), my pirating activity has dropped considerably (well that and the fact that i can actually buy what i want)

I have to say Assassin's Creed and Crysis.

I only have Steam because I once 'tried' Audiosurf and liked it so much, I wanted to buy it.

TF2, Borderlands, Machinarium... and idk

Looking through my steamlibrary - Cod4, Star Wolves, X-Series and Left 4 Dead.

Im sure I dont speak for everyone .. But from my experience, Steam has STOPPED piracy. I find myself thinking .. damn there's no demo for this game .. Ill wait for a sale before picking it up, or check out a youtube video .. I dont even think about heading over to my fav torrent site anymore. I guess thats a good thing .. not for my wallet though :)

Well,I stopped piracy....Till 15 I was only pirating because beeing a kid I didnt have money to spend on games,and being raised in a poor country I didnt even know you can buy games,I thought the only way is to download them from torrents...That was untill a day,when I discovered steam...Now If I cant afford a game I dont resume to piracy anymore and I wait until there is a sale or I have money to buy that game,its all about the respect for the dev that made such an awesome game for you...

If I pirate a game it's to see if it works at all on my computer, or to confirm if I'd like it at all. It's usually ended up well, especially in the cases of Dark Souls and the STALKER games, which I ended up purchasing afterwards.

In the case of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, I pirated it, couldn't get the pirated copy to work, and a guy I knew, upon hearing this, bought the game for me.

Total war : Fall of the samurai(the game was just highly overpriced(around 40e), I bought it when it became 13e. Cheers.

Lots. No indies, they really shouldnt get pirated as soon as they release their first game.

i have pirated games like half life, counter strike, crysis, ac series + like 1 million more games. But im trying to get them on steam to feel better i guess. even though i didnt feel anything terrible while i was downloading games from torrent. Kind of strange feeling actually..

That game also started my "no more pirated games policy". Now I just buy stuff on sales and am completely happy. Since then I also bought a lot of games I pirated and played before, even if I buy them at 75% sales, it still should be a least a little satisfaction for creators, or at least I hope so.
