It Follows. Probably the most well shot horror movie in recent memory. I also really enjoyed Get Out recently although I'd say that's more thriller than straight up horror

I don't think I have one, I'm not a fan of the genre just a casual watcher.
I do like Alien but mostly because of the sci-fi side of it, The Ring is the only one I can remember actually freaking me out for days and the Cavin in the Woods is probably the best written one I've seen in the genre. So yeah, somewhere between those three.
To me games or books are better suited to horror because the player/reader has control over the speed (not pace tho) and that allows for complete pauses that intensify the effects of the genre, the experience is all about expectation, anxiety and forcing oneself to push through after all, at least for me.

I can see that, I do love horror movies but I've seen some really good games that I have to play. I've never read anything though
would you have any recommendation? also I would recommendation you watch the babadook.

I'm not much of a reader either and most of the books I read are sci-fi anyway, but I can recomemd SCP if you like short stories and meta narrative (is about 70-80% horror/suspence).
I'll try to find the babadook, sounds interesting from the blurb.
