Yes, of course!
Maybe, im confused :(

Some facts about dreams:

You can’t read while dreaming, or tell the time
If you are unsure whether you are dreaming or not, try reading something. The vast majority of people are incapable of reading in their dreams. The same goes for clocks: each time you look at a clock it will tell a different time and the hands on the clock won’t appear to be moving as reported by lucid dreamers.

Unbelievable Sleepwalkers
Sleepwalking is a very rare and potentially dangerous sleep disorder. It is an extreme form of REM sleep disorder, and these people don’t just act out their dreams, but go on real adventures at night.
Lee Hadwin is a nurse by profession, but in his dreams he is an artist. Literally. He “sleepdraws” gorgeous portraits, of which he has no recollection afterwards. Strange sleepwalking “adventures” include:

A woman having sex with strangers while sleepwalking
A man who drove 22 miles and killed his cousin while sleepwalking (how is this even possible?)
A sleepwalker who walked out of the window from the third floor, and barely survived

I recommend you the Geralt de Rivia Saga by Andrzej Sapkowski, and EVERYTHING written by Terry Pratchett.

"People think that it is strange to have a turtle ten thousand miles long and an elephant ... It believes mere size is amazing. ... But the fact that there's a big turtle is far less amazing than the fact that there is a turtle anywhere."

If you've played Myst and like the story arcs, the books will fill in a ton of history for you. :-)

Now I want to read them again. Gonna grab one and call it a night soon.

You should find writings of Poul Anderson. It's confusing and really really awesome! For ,ore: I personally love Stephen King and H. P. Lovecraft. He made his own mythology. Cthulhu etc.

Fact: Lobsters never stop growing and have been caught at massive sizes, such as "George," a lobster that was estimated to have been born in 1869 and was caught at 20 pounds (9.1 kg) in 2008.
Also if you like the Halo series you might actually like the books too, I know I didn't think I would like reading a book about a game but then I really enjoyed it

After sitting through yet another movie based on a book by Philip K. Dick, I finally asked a sci-fi bookworm friend which of his books I should read. He recommended the The Man in the High Castle, which I finished about a month ago. It's excellent! I haven't seen it, but the pilot of a TV series based on the book was released by Amazon in January.

Movies based on books by PKD include Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, and The Adjustment Bureau.

(Oops - just seen another recommendation by Oppenh4imer. Great minds think alike!)

I would have voted for Dresden Files since that's the most recent series I've been keeping up with but that's already been said. I didn't even check if Discworld has been said because I can almost guarantee it. So here's a series I'm sure no one will post

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardians_of_the_Flame

I haven't read all of them though as they weren't all out when I was a kid. Should really finish it.

For a book, read "Rule 34" by Charles Stross.
Or anything else by the man.

Failing that: The Long Earth series by Stephen Baxter & Terry Pratchett. 3 parts so far, 4th to be published somewhere this year, the planned fifth & final volume is up in the air for obvious reasons. It mixes both sci-fi and fantasy!

Or: The Burning City by Larry Niven & Jerry Pournelle -> hardcore sci-fi power team goes fantasy.

Did you know that Valve's took the pictures of 2 men for displaying on the loading screens of their games, the first one was a former employee and the bald one (that they used from 2010 until today) was a random bypasser on the street that NO ONE knows who it is? Not even Valve!

Fact: I am not on the whitelist.

Also, book recommendation: Le Travail du Furet, by Jean-Pierre Andrevon. It's a great Sci-Fi thriller, with tons of funny stuff. Unfortunately, I don't think there is an english translation, so you better understand French. ^^
