The classic boasting thread and almost the only reason why we still keep buying games during those sales, right?

Spend? Ha, I actually earned me some potatoes!

After a lot of consideration I bought just 4 5 games and 2 DLCs:

  1. Control Ultimate Edition - it was on my list for too long, I couldn't find any more reason to put off buying :)
  2. Pizza Tower - I like "fast paced 2D platformer" games and I kinda trust that this one is really good. 96.57% positive reviews out of 32,952. And game was released just in January this year. It can't be bad!
  3. Death's Door - this one was on my radar since release or close to it. It even became more expensive since I added it to my WL... Also a lot of people around me gives very positive feedback about this game, so why not.
  4. One Hand Clapping - The main reason I bought it was the hope of having fun with my little daughter, who I hope will enjoy the game.
  5. Vampire Survivors: Game + DLC Bundle - I already had base game and see my self playing it soonish, so bought bundle for DLCs for a pretty good price.
  6. Rayman® Origins - oh welp... One more addition to list just 7 hours before the sale ends. This game is not avaiable in my region so when I saw I can get it for just around 1,87€ I was like "Heck! I need it immediately!" :D

Total spent: 13,17€ 14,33€ 16,2€

Interesting mix of four totally different games, for a great price. Though I wonder how you missed Control when it was bundled.

I bought Death's Door in the last summer sale and ... haven't played it yet. Let's pretend that this won't happen with any of the games I'll buy this year. ;)

At some point I didn't have any suitable device to play Control, then I didn't had opportunity to buy bundles 🤷🏻‍♂️ Somehow like that :)

Why didn't you buy the "Half-Life 1 Anthology bundle"? It doesn't cost much more and includes the two expansions (and also the original team fortress for which I don't care).

Oops. Didn't even think about it...guess I'll have to buy that now too, though would save me a few cents to refund and re-buy.

the original team fortress

The original TF is a mod for Quake. TFC was temporarily called TF1.5, so it's something in between.

Half-Life ($0.99 - still owned it on disc so hadn't bothered to get it on Steam until now

The old CD keys of the WON version (format ####-#####-####) could be activated on Steam in the past, not sure if that's still the case.

Edit: It probably isn't possible any more judging by comments.

God of War
Gotham Knights
Immortals Fenyx Rising (Gold Edition) - UbiConnect not steam - since it was cheaper and I honestly don't mind, has to run through UbiConnect either way.

Gonna also buy in a few days:
Surge 2
Darksiders III
both via bundles to save a few cents more

If I'm counting gifts for friends, then over $50.
If just for me, then about $30.

For myself I got Sonic Frontiers and Mark of the Ninja Remastered

I didn't mean to buy anything, but...
Tangle Tower has been on my wishlist for quite a while and I loved the demo. Right now it's only 3,35€, so I grabbed it. And the developer's previous games are also heavily discounted, so got added to cart as well. (Haunt the House: Terrortown for 0,79€, Detective Grimoire for 1,13€).
Then Soulflow for 0,59€, The Innsmouth Case for 1,24€, Heaven Will Be Mine for 2,49€, Hustle Cat for 1,67€, NAIRI: Tower of Shirin for 0,99€, The Magister for 3,12€ and a soundtrack for under 1€.
16,35€ in total, what a steal 😊

Two DLC (AC Unity Secrets of Revolution and Mortal Shell DLC for 2,3€) and a gift for friend, which comes out to 20€. Already have enough games to play so I think wasting money on games that I won't play is a bit idiotic.

Yeah, pretty hostile of them to appear at a meeting of the anonymous game hoarders just to tell us some unwelcome truth.

Reminds that I haven't bought enough in this sale yet, only Chrono Cross so far.

Don't worry, I'm part of the group... or was... I dunno.
All I know is somehow I have managed to, since the Spring Sale 2023 and my most expensive shopping spree to date, tighten the belt fully on buying any new games (non-bundles or bundles), so hopefully this lasts a long ass time, or at least until I get close to playing through my current game catalogue.

Nothing for me. I'm making a conscious effort to work on my backlog, I'd like to clear a few games before buying anything new. Nothing on my wishlist is at a better than usual sale price anyhow, so I don't feel I'm missing out on much.

I will probably buy a few other games, I have a few calming/cozy games in my cart right now.

Uhmm I could buy many wishlist-games, but that would cost me a lot to buy them all at once, and not sure when I will be able to play them all. So I will wait for the moment I really want/need to play a wishlist game and wait again until it's at discount again. ;-)

So in the end I bought one bigger game and many "fast food" games for in between:

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - 4,49€
The Samaritan Paradox - 0,27€
The Room - 0,49€
The Room Two - 0,49€
Portal of Evil - 0,49€
Contract With The Devil - 0,49€
Hostil - 0,59€
My Dream is a Lost Memory - 0,63€
100 hidden cats - 0,23€
100 hidden eternals - 0,31€
100 hidden snails 2 - 0,31€
100 hidden birds 2 - 0,31€
100 hidden cats 2 - 0,31€
Cute Dogs - 0,20€
Cute Cats - 0,22€
Cute Cats 2 - 0,22€
Cute Cats 3 - 0,22€
Cute Girls: Find Secrets - 0,22€

10,49€

I got Elden Ring on the humble store yesterday cos i've been getting the monthly choice lately so i got a little extra off. $36 USD, wheeeee. I've got to spend money on Prime Day to upgrade my RAM so unlikely I'll buy anything else this time. Backlog is big enough as is, oof.
