Were you feeling alone and directionless, unsure what to do with your life while you waited for my next event? Are you ever so happy that it's here now?
A humble bump for a great event! I'll explore it asap :D

Bump, finished, donยดt know if I found all giveaways (probably not), will enter several later. Thanks for the dungeon!

Thanks for the adventure. Some of the giveaway are actually really nice games (for those who like adventure games, that is). Cannot wait for the RPG event!

I'm glad you had fun...more to come over the next couple of months...depending upon how much time my job allows me to spend on fun stuff. :)

Looks cool, thanks :) Btw can you interact with the mirrors, or is it just decoration?
Comment has been collapsed.
Just decoration...the dungeon looked really empty without stuff on the walls, so I grabbed some clip art to spruce it up a bit. :)

Okay, thanks for the answer, had a lot of fun so far :)

I'm glad to hear that. I'm learning a lot about the tool right now and giving a bunch of feedback to the creator. I will likely add a lot of more tricky bits and additional interaction in my next one. ๐๐

I just finished it, a cool experience. I hope you don't make the future ones too complicated, I already got lost a few times in this one :d

Ha, don't worry, I won't get too out of hand with anything. I may try making the dungeon smaller, but with a lot more collection, events, and puzzles required...probably depends upon what kind of themed giveaway event I'm doing. :)
Nice to hear that you had fun. Good luck with the RNG gods. :D

I really want to give this a try, but I can't leave the starting square for some reason.

That's really weird...I wonder if the dungeon was down for a while. Give it another try. Either the arrow keys or WASD should allow you to navigate. BTW...Q & E allow you to "strafe" move as you go through the dungeon. Saves some hassle moving from one wall item to the next. :)

Yes, unfortunately, I've found that people with a very high ping (especially if they're in a rural area on a satellite connection or something) experience some very bad lag. Sorry, nothing that I can do about that. :(

well - can't leave the start tile tho... just turn around my own axis and apreciate the lovely collapsed tunnel^^
If any fix will come up i would love to play this great idea of creating a train!

yes - no difference.
Only found out that by strafing i can enter one more tile to the left.
Sometiomes the "loading circle" pops up for a splitsecond (guess thats normal)
No Scriptblockers or whatsoever are running. :/

Edge/IE is not supported.
I would recommend trying Chrome as it is the best supported browser by the game. In the meantime, I will try to figure what could cause the issue in Firefox.
Also, I would appreciate if you told me your profile ID (you can find it on your profile page) so I could check if there is anything unusual with it.

funny thig is: Chrome does the same stuff....still just 3 tiles to wander :D

Didn't work for me, i am not able of walking more than one step forward, i am always walking in a circle. The sound of walking plays, but i am not walking, e.g. forward (not more than one tile). I tried different browsers, doesn't work. I liked other dungeons before.

Bump for solved. Clicked way too many mirrors and candles and torches....^^
But the minimap could use an overhaul. For example you could add a red line for a solid wall and a green one if a player can walk in this direction. I spent 10 minutes looking for a corridor I missed and couldn't find it on the map either.

I made a similar suggestion for the mini-map, as well as asking for a zoom in/out function or being able to scroll the map with the arrow keys (along with a few other things ๐). I don't have any personal control over that...I didn't write the engine, I just used what is available to create the dungeon. But SErVER51 is a very excellent person who takes feedback really well, so hopefully some new features like this will get implemented in the future.
EDIT: Look at that -- SErVER51 and I were answering at the same time! ๐คฃ๐๐ค

Fun romp! I have to go back and find the, uh, object that will bring me through the first, uh, thing, so I'll take a break, but I enjoyed the journey so far. Nicely done! And yes, that mini-map. Time to find some graph paper!

You need to use the wand with the portal. The NPC is just giving you information as to what object you need to activate the portal.

hmn somewhat stuck. might missed a corridor it looks like - but im in the posession of two shiny round thingys and cant find any use for them or a NPC who wants them xD
*nvm. Havent overseen a corridor but a portal xD \o/ Freedom!!!

Glad that you finally found 'em. Yeah, the wand gets you to another really big part of the dungeon and the rings are your entry to the rooms with the best GAs. :)
Congrats on your freedom. ๐๐ป๐

End reached, thank you! It was a funny (and quite convoluted sometimes) maze :D

It opens one of the portals (the last one, to be specific).

Update: ALL GAs ARE COMPLETE AND HAVE BEEN SENT OUT!
But, the dungeon is still open in case anyone wants to play it just for fun. :)
Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this a great event. I think that there was enough enthusiasm around this that I'll do another one in the future. Stay tuned!
Yes, another GA event is here (as well as another completely skewed, useless, smart-@ssed, one-sided poll ๐)!
Intro (What this is and how it came about)
So, after the holidays, I got to thinking about my library of keys that I have laying around, and decided that instead of just doing random trains and things that I would attempt to do several thematical (which the dictionary is telling me is not a word, but kiss my butt, dictionary, I'm using it and making it a word -- so there!) events in 2019. The short list that I cooked up looks like this:
There may be others or some of these may never happen, but that's what I have on my radar for this year. In any case, you can see that my initial assumption was that most of these would be trains. But then I got to thinking about how fun the last Trash Tornadoโข was, and thought through some similar concepts for the HOG of HOGs, and went, "wouldn't it be cool to do some different things with these other events too?" And then I answered myself. "Yes, let's do that!"
And so, the Adventure Game Dungeon (which replaces the Adventure Game Train) is the first event in the series. I decided to learn how to use SErVER51's Dungeon Sandbox, which has been the basis for several events around here. It took me a couple of evenings of playing with it to get most of the basics, and I still haven't tapped its full potential by any means, but I was able to create a pretty serviceable dungeon over the course of a few nights of free time.
Here's how it works
Details and what's in here
All of the GAs in the dungeon are adventure games of some kind. None should be full-on RPG games (after all, there's going to be another event for that), which mostly means point-and-click adventures, but there are certainly a few first-person adventure games or adventure-puzzler games, etc. They're basically anything that I deemed should fall under the "adventure" umbrella. If you don't agree with the inclusion of any game, that's your right, but believe me when I say that I don't care. It's my event, bubba, and I make the rules around here. ๐๐
There are 62 GAs in total throughout the dungeon. As mentioned earlier, the more obstacles you pass, the better on average that the GAs become. There are two non-bundled GAs right before the exit to encourage you to finish the entire dungeon. Don't pass them up in your excitement of having found the exit!
The GAs will run for two weeks, meaning that they end on the evening of February the 8th (US Central time). I'll leave the dungeon open after the GAs are done in case anyone wants to continue exploring or use it for ideas for their own event.
Advice
Disclaimers and stuff
Ok, I think that covers it. Enough of my wordiness. It's time for you to ENTER THE DUNGEON
Have fun, and good luckโ
EDIT/NOTE:
Several people had reported having issues with a couple of graphics not appearing correctly: the red-and-white "enter to win" sign and the copper flowers on the walls (those people probably couldn't tell what they were at the time, but those clip-art pics are the culprits). I've re-hosted these such that the references to them should no longer be a problem, and have walked the entire dungeon and (I think) replaced all occurrences of these particular bits of clip art. If anyone is continuing to have issues or finds any other graphics that appear to be missing/not loading, please let me know. And please open the mini-map and take note of your coordinate position as well as the compass direction (for any wall-based objects) so that I can jump to that point on the map and address those objects quickly. Thanks!
BTW, you should see GA graphics (mostly grouped into common areas of the map) in the following patterns: "enter to win" blue-to-green fade circle, "enter to win" red and white sign, "Enter to win" paperboy, "Enter" blue splat, "WIN!" cloud/explosion, "Enter" brown sign, "Enter to Win!" stars and blue circle, No-bundle sign.
