Has anyone ever experienced members not at least saying thank you when applying for a giveaway
It's no rocket science; people that thank you when they win a giveaway are white listed the people that don't even bother are black listed and blocked on Steam permanently...

In my case I'm pleased that most winners say thanks during or just after the giveaway here or on Steam and that those that don't bother are a minority.

The only time i've ever had someone being ungrateful is when I put an aditional rule on one of my giveaways. He didn't meat the criteria of the rule. He kept moaning to me about how I shouldn't be putting rules on my giveaway that he couldn't enter. He even then tried to exploit the rule and find a way to get past it. All of this while still moaning at me for the rule!

I really don't care if people say 'Thank you' or not on the giveaways I create. I don't feel offended when they don't thank me and don't see them as ungrateful.

I personally don't care if someone does not thank me. On the other hand if created a giveaway for a brand new AAA title, I would hope that the winner would thank me.

I don't often comment on a giveaway when I enter.
My personal opinion on saying "thanks" for a giveaway is pro forma bs, that it cheapens the phrase "thank you", and it annoyingly clutters the "new message" thing on the site.
But I always make an extra effort to say thank you if I win. Only then does it have meaning.
It is nice to have someone say thank you when they win a giveaway I've made, but I don't get bent out of shape when a winner doesn't. I don't give games away to be thanked, I do it because otherwise the keys will be unused.

The only thanks I've given was to the ones that added me on Steam and then gave me the gift. I don't care if people thank me or not on my giveaways. It really makes no difference to me.
So now I've got a little surprised that I may had offended or will offend people when I win a giveaway and don't say thanks.

Yep, had one guy go apeshit when I didn't send his game right away. Even had a warning up on the page I'd be sleeping when it ended, but nope, why read it? Just spewed tons of hate my way on here and on my profile in Spanish.
Mighty funny when I threatened to do a reroll unless he apologized that he suddenly spoke perfect English. Imagine that. ;D

No, but I think I forgot to say Thank you 1 time.
Please don't kill me! T.T

Shit happens. If someone doesn't remember to tell me thanks for their win, I don't see it as a reason to blacklist them. I'll only do so if they're rude. I mean, I can kinda understand it. Fibromyalgia makes me so dumb sometimes that I've almost forgotten very important things. Once I left a pan on the stove, and burned it. And by once, I mean far too many times to count. So forgetting a "thanks" isn't too much of a problem. lol
To me, the best thank you is when someone plays a game that I gave them. Even better if they obviously love it. Like when they've played over a hundred hours, gave it a glowing review, and have a load of screenshots for it. That's why I give away games here. :)

Back when you could tell winners of your giveaway to f-off, because reasons, I got a re-roll when I didn't say thanks in the first few minutes after winning. Maybe everyone should spam random words since there are applications on finding thanks-botters.

Nothing so far, got some rather nice messages from some actually which made me happy :D (I mostly commented here for the fear of being blacklisted as you said before ;) - not that you would've found me if I didn't comment in the first place.... uh-oh, I'm gonna get blacklisted for this, aren't I? Oh crud)

Due to this thread, I now have someone on my blacklist.
I remember when I won my first game here, I immediately felt guilty-ish and decided I needed to find some way to give back. Now I have more given gifts than won gifts, although admittedly, they are all relatively cheap buys (I'm new to the site.) Been giving away the stuff in Bundles I don't want. Or with like DIG, getting two copies so I can gift away what I get too.
Anyways, interesting thread.

not saying thank you when applying for a giveaway
Vote "yes" on pole, because I'm this guy.
I'm thanking for GAs only when if =( I win these GAs.
Unneeded spam isn't needed.
